I'm due 2nd September and have only just started to love my bump, it took me ages to get my head around my body changing so quickly. but I love it now, I can't imagine it going back to how it was before!

hey girls,
been away all day, as i had a midwife appmt this afternoon.
they took my bloods, (i refused the triple test by the way)
and the most exciting bit- i heard my baby's heartbeat for the first time ever!!!! im so happy!
oh and i think im the youngest here so far, im 20 years old, and im 21 in november x

Mine don't do a triple test if you've had a nuchal, so I wasn't offered one.

hi,

i'm fine. have calmed down from the problems of earlier today (bleeding iof sorts as per my thread). everything seems to be back as it it should be. just had home made chicken tikka for tea...... put abit too much tikka powder ina nd was hotter than i like. OOops! still ate it though.

i was never offered a nuchal, but it wouldnt affect my decision anyway- although i would prefr a healthy baby!
but my mom was told after th triple test (idk if she had an amnio) that my little brother would be severely mentally and physically disabled, and theres not a sausage wrong with him x

Wow, no wonder you refused the triple test!!
It's crazy how wrong they can be.
I had the nuchal privately, as the hospital only offers the triple test and I thought that's too uncertain to rely on (glad I made that decision now after your story!!!)
And actually, by the time we saw the baby on the screen, we thought we're parents no matter what the doctor tells us. So perhaps we just needed to know that!

i refused the triple test too. df wanted me to have it as he said he couldnt cope with a downs baby me on the otherhand it would be a shock but this baby is my miracle no matter what! anyways when i saw the midwife i told her that i didnt want it and he did and she told me at the end of the day it should be ultimately my descion and so i chose not to. df doesnt know that i havent had it yet but i told him that if there were any problems the 20 week scan would probably pick them up anyways.

i didnt have it with my girls and they are fine. x

p.s still waiting for my potatoes to cook. got it on the highest temp and been in there for nearly an hour any ideas on how much longer i should leave them? getting hungry now and my youngest is too bless her!

i cook jacket potatoes for between an hour and an hour and a half on gas mark 7 honey x

thanks siyren what temp is gas mark 7? i have it on 230 degrees celcius! havent had jacket potatoes in ages so hoping they turn out yummy and not yack lol. x

230 sounds about right, but tbh ive never ever used an electric oven lol.

well apart from them getting burnt on the bottom a bit they turned out great and was very yummy though am still hungry so going to cook a burger in a moment am enjoying being able to eat again even if my appetite is taking a while to come back.

think baby enjoyed it to as he/she is kicking away x
