Ok, ppllllllleeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaaaasssssssssssssssssseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee can we stop with the B word talk???!!!
It's totally stressing me out, we're banned from talking about it or anything to do with it in my house and I can't be thinking about what type I want, all I know it that (don't judge me) I want all the drugs available to mankind and I don't want to have to think about it for a second beforehand.
How do you all know what you want???!!
And having done it before, what on earth possessed you to do it again???!!!
OK, sorry, I'm freaking out, going to go and make some chamomile tea to try to calm down....

Next time you get on a tube, think to yourself "If labour was that bad, I'd have no problems getting a seat" and its true. We wouldnt be so "over-populated" if it hurt that much.
I found the most helpful things were using gas and air with a mouth-piece so i could bite on it, rather than a face mask which made me feel suffocated. Leaning on one of those huge ball things and rocking back and forth on it. And lastly, when I knew how long my contractions were lasting, as soon as the next one started, I started counting down, so I knew how long I had to go and that really helped.

Strangely for me, its always been the morning sickness which has put me off having more children, not the labour, and after the sickness this time, I'm done. No way am I having more!! labour is easy compared to 3 months of heaving over a sink!

Ok...this has probably nothing to do with the last um...15 or so pages since I was on here last, but....
Is anyone in disagreement with their partner as far as naming LO goes?? In case you couldn't tell by my pic...I am in a mixed marriage. Dh is mexican. He compromised pretty well with DD's name (Elayna) as it was close enough to Elena, but we are butting heads over our lil man's name.
The only name he has offered to me is Santiago or Tiago for short. Which is ok...except I think his whole name will be a lil weird as our last name ends in O. I like Gabriel or even Luke, but of course Luke is too "white".
Any pointers? I know we have a little while to decide, but its going to seem like forever if we don't come to a happy medium!](*,)

****sits looking totally confused! Go away for couple hours and I have a 1000 word essay to read!!!!!!!!!!!!!

blooming heck....i've only been away for a day or two and there are soooo may new posts!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Does any one fancy doing a quick post of the highlights over the past two days :rofl::rofl::rofl:

forgot to mention... i like our new thread title (it is new isnt it :blush:)

i had so many pages to read through earlier, i actually had to take a bathroom break.
haha

babilou- how bout Lucas? I dont think thats too 'white' and is very similar to Luke, Ive always thort its a kinda mysterious, exotic name xxx

ooo lucas is a very sweet name and i agree not to white either.hope that you will find a name that both you and dh can agree on! have you tried searching mexican boys names and then adding your twist on it to make it sound a bit more english iykwim.

we are having trouble with girls names the only one i like and have my heart set on df hates grrr! and the only names he likes are really weird unusual names and they just dont go with our daughters names iykwim. having a boy would be so much easier as we have our boys name sorted.

lol at stardust dont worry most of the posts are me asking about how to cook jacket potatoes.

well thats me off for the night now dd2 still awake even had to bring her in the bath with me so much for a relaxing soak! lol. waiting for my hair to dry then off to land of nod.

night ladies x

p.s please keep your fingers crossed my eldest doesnt go through her and her sisters clothes in morning. took me forever to sort and put them back tonight!

thankfully both me and my OH have agreed on names for our LO,
we have Jacob Yeowart for a boy and Alyssa Noelle for a girl.
tbh ive wanted Jacob as a boys name since i was really young. thankfully OH (who is reading this and resents being known as OH, and would like to be called my partner) agreed with this!
sammi x

babiiblu - I also think Lucas is a nice alternative to Luke. As for us, we have pretty much agreed on the name for a boy or a girl. We wrote down different alternatives, including the origin and meaning, and that helped in picking out the name. Also, it really helped that we spelled out the whole name to see how it looked like.

Thanks guys. I DO like Lucas and will run it by DH. I have tried searching mexican names online but most of the are extremely Mexican. LOL!
He always throw Guadalupe out there too, just to be funny. He has an Uncle named that...but we live in a very small town that just isn't ready for that yet.
I will keep you all posted and any other ideas are welcome!

So I was interested in some names for you and searched "mexican baby names." I only got this website babynamesworld.com that seemed promising although there weren't "mexican names" but instead "spanish names." Some that I noticed that were kinda "not extremely mexican" to quote you, were...

Adan -- man, earth
Antonio -- (actually QUITE mexican, but I've always thought the name was SO sexy...maybe it's the image of Antonio Bandaras)
Chay -- (could be changed to Chey) he will enlarge...hmm...not so into the meaning
Colorado -- colorful
Roberto -- (could be Robert) bright fame
Tavares -- decendant of the hermit...again on the meaning, but cute name
Xaviar -- new house (how cool a name beginning with an X?!?!)

Anywho...just saw those and thought I'd throw them out there. Maybe they help, maybe they don't, but I had fun looking them up!

:hi:
What a colourful greeting - a nice antidote to my night of angst and subsequent dressing all in black like a bumpy milk tray deliverer :D

I don't even know that I have a rainbow's worth of anything to say???

I'll definitely give it a try, well now, it took me a while to trawl through yesterdays not-that-mad but I detect a birth fear theme?

After 2 little uns, albeit a while back, I am a firm believer in knowing your own body and equipping yourself with facts then hoping for the best!!

I was talking to some mamas I school run with and between them they have 10 kids and they said all their labours and births were different! Useful eh?

So really, ya just never know. But if people are gonna go around having multiple ankle biters then its gotta mean that kids are just bloomin ace? right? I think so!!

So do your stressing on here, it is here for that, do your research, ask as many questions as you like before and during and then if there is ANYTHING you aren't cool with that you can change, go for it - YOUR body, YOUR baba!!

I am now orf to school with the lil ladies, have a school trip to pay and no change - fun times.....I'm sure the office will help me out :)

See y'all in a short while :hugs:
:dust: :dust::dust: :dust:

Morning ladies!

I would do colour in my post..... but I can be bothered :)

I'm 16 weeks today! :happydance:

Unfortunately my morning sickness has come back a little bit, I was quite nauseous yesterday. I'm a bit better today but it's a bit annoying. I think it's cos I'm extra tired this week. I might see if I can work from home tomorrow to give me a bit of a rest. Fingers crossed that my boss says yes!

Star-dust, we need to chat about headache tips from your midwife please :)

Hope you all have great Thursdays!
x

Well morning just dropped the kids off at school and thought i'd come in to say i am going to have my midwife app in about 20 mins so very excited will let you all know how it went in a bit. Oh and i think i'm going to refuse the triple test as well cause whatever the results i would not consider doing anything apart from having my baby as we have gone through loads to get here.

Congrats firegal 16 weeks today :)
