septembryos baby area (09 babies)

Hey all :hi: Welcome to kirst06 too :)

Hope Blake & Billy are picking up! Mom2pne, that was a supercute thumb sucking pic!! Paloma finds hers better now but doesn't use it a lot!

Her weight gain has evened out and she was 15lb 12oz on Tuesday (14.5 weeks old) so she is sitting on the same percentile she was on at birth, I got given a load of Next babygros when I was pregnant that my friend had on her little girl and they are only just fitting her long legs so I am going to probably pop her up to 6-9months this weekend and pass the 3-6 to my friend who has a solid 3 week old baby girl!!

Paloma has done a fair bit of baby socialising this week - on Monday she went to see her mate Roman who is 26 weeks (His mum started weaning him at 4 months because he was so hungry and he is just fine, he tipped the scales at 22lb this week so the HV said he could have more baby food -was on a portion of puree + fromage frais - and drop some mid day formula...)

On Tuesday my cousin came over with her 6 week old, Alexander and yesterday I met Cleo who is 3 weeks!! Paloma seems so grown up next to the little uns and yet a coupla years down the road they will be so close :D It's good really because my older 2 are ace big sisters but I can't help thinking Paloma will need close chums her own age when she is a little primary schooler and the big 'uns are cool teens hehe and I am certainly not having more babies!!!

So I have naturally eaten cake and biccies all week like a big old heiffer....so much for me joining the weight loss forum :S

Can anyone recall how they tailed off breastfeeding at all? I am pretty sure I had stopped at about 6 months with Arwen as I wasn't expressing when I started working Saturdays when she was 28 weeks....I'm not in a hurry to pack it in but I just don't remember....

Eeeh I am sure I had lots more to say :( I miss my brain. It used to be sharper.....

Hope you are all well though :D

Oh.. the forum must love you with triple posts!!!

 Hi BTW!

that's not fair i have never had a tripple post!!! (stamps feet and screams!!!) LOL!

hope everyone is well. blake has stopped being sick (for now), but has turned into the grumpiest/whingey little thing going! he doesnt seem to know what or who he wants.

i went shopping this morning as ethel austin had 20% off everything including sale items, only snag with their clothes is 2 washes and they shrink! so at £1.50 a pair trousers and £1 a top and £4 a jumper/cardi thing i spent just over £30 (b4 20% off) and got him 6-9 so they will shrink and fit him now. IF they still hve offer on tues i will get him some 9-12 so they can shrink. it's not me shrinking them as all other shop clothes are fine and a couple of mums at the school have said the same thing.

do any of you use the pharmacy first scheme? if so do you know what you get in the way of baby paracetamol? we used to get MEDINOL (clear colour with zero flavour), we are now getting some yucky "strawberry" flavour stuff. as they have changed supplier and MEDINOL is no longer available - yet you can buy it over the counter in lloyds pharmacy at £1.99 a bottle.

i think i'm beeing a bit silly with the medicine stuff...other week HV said to give him paracetamol...so i bought some...this week she gave me 'sample' bottles of oilatum n said to keep using it if it works....so i went n bought some lol....i should really ask for a perscription!

just a quick question has anyone else noticed baby sleeping a LOT more just after having injections?...jack has been awake for about 6 hours since hin injections on wed...i obv wake him up for feeds put he just goes back to sleep?!!

Hi everyone!! Happy Friday :)

Ooh, triple posting misswren! I haven't even had double posting yet :( lol!!!

Hey Kathryn, how is little Isaac?

Glad Blake has stopped being sick Amy x

lhamil, Joe sleeps a bit more after his injections. He seems to nap better, but is still waking a few times in the night because of his teeth :(

I went to a mum & baby group today for the first time with a friend of mine who has a little boy of 3 months. Joe was totally unimpressed and slept through most of it!!

Little Isaac is good thanks! Sleeping lots today.. which is slightly worrying! But still enjoyed his baby rice! Carrots on Sunday!

Isaac used to always sleep through the groups we went to.. now he gets really grumpy if we don't go!

Happy Weekend everyone! :happydance:

We've been loads.. we don't use a float, just support his head! Isaac loves it!

Good morning all! Has anyone got anything fun planned for today?

Can we take them swimming now? Joe's had all 3 sets of injections so we'd like to start taking him soon.

I have a stinking cold so am gonna be tucked up at home today :( OH will be back from work soon so can look after Joe while I get some sleep. God, it's a nightmare feeling ill with a little baby.

What are you upto today?

x

We took Isaac after his first lot... he's not completed all his yet!

:hugs: I can sympathise... I had a migraine with Isaac screaming on Thurs.. managed to feed him in bed and encorage him to sleep!!

We're off swimming, then going to my mums.. nothing much!

Have fun swimming today! I think I'll look for a little swimsuit for Joe and then we can start going. My OH can't wait, it's gonna be his thing to do with Joe every week :) x

hi,

we took blake after his 1st set at 8weeks. we were on holiday and the pool was lovely and hot. round here the pools are really cold so we havent been since - the 4 and 7yr old get colds after going so i'm not considering taking blake.

we were planning on going to the straw bear festival but its chucking it down with rain and really cold. and following a straw bear and loads of morris dancers round pubs in the cold n wet is not going to be fun!!!

I know, the weather's rubbish today :( Atleast it's cleared the last of the snow away but I can't wait for spring so we can go on lots of walks with Joe! Roll on summer hey :coolio:

Thanks!! Gyn takes Isaac on a Sunday morning so I get a lie in, & I take him on a sat so he can go to the gym! What are you up to today?

well that was a marathon shopping trip...went to meadowhall got there at 2 n got home at half 7!!...i got a float and some swim pants for jack and a jacke for myself...not much to show for all that time shoppin...on the up side me n mum are taking jack swimming tomorrow! yay!

just tryed out his float in the bath n he loves it....but i started to prune so had to take him out eventually lol

Hey all, how are we all today?

I'd love to take Izzy swimming but all the pools round here are freezing, and she is def not a fan of colder water! Maybe in the summer, when its not so cold outside. The swimming costumes are so cute though!

Vicks- hows your cold?

lhamil88- Have fun swimming today!

Kathryn- did u have a nice lie in this morning?

Morning Scally!! My cold is abit better today. Lots of lemsip and rest yesterday helped I think :)

I need to get Joe a little swimsuit & float, can anyone recommend any for boys?? My OH is so excited about taking him swimming, it's so cute :)

How's Izzy doing hun??

xx

Glad u r feeling a bit better.
Izzy now wakes at 3 ish now, we have found that feeding her 6oz at this time means she then sleeps through til morning, i don't mind doing this, its better than the 10 times she was waking us up! lol. Daytime sleeps are still not great but i have given up with putting her down for now, she can sleep on me if she wants. I can actually see and feel a top tooth coming through, so hopefully it'll ease off soon. The strange thing is her daytime feeds, it took me an hour to get 6oz into her this morning! She dribbles it out of her mouth, cries, turns her head, very strange, this is from a girl who easily used to drain 8 oz!!!
Sorry for the essay
