septembryos baby area (09 babies)

Sounds like that tooth is giving her a bit of grief Scally :( Poor Izzy. None of Joe's teeth have broken through yet but it must be so painful for them. Joe plays more with the teet now, so maybe we rubs on where the tooth is coming through?

I haven't fed Joe during the night yet. He woke 3 times last night, for his dummy only. At 3am, I got up and he was sucking his scratch mitt and it was soaking!! I'd like him to have the mitts as they keep his hands a little warmer, but I think maybe he just wanted to suck his thumb or fingers now....

Izzy's hands are cold in the morning, but i tried putting socks on her hands one night, and where she had sucked them so much her hands were actually colder! But maybe he likes the feel of his mitts in his mouth- Izzy loves biting on a muslin square?
Bless him- he is doing better isnt he? Only 3 times last night, thats good.
I do feel very sorry for them teething, it must be horrible, they are bound to be out of sorts.

Maybe I'll try him without the mitts tonight. He naps without them during the day, but then I can check on him then to make sure his hands aren't too cold.
Has feeding her once helped then? Joe still seems to be asleep when he cries at night so thats why I'm not sure whether to feed him or not?
I also think maybe he's just calling out for his dummy so it might be time to try and wean him off that....

There hands get so cold at night dont they? Might be worth a go, then if he gets upset he can maybe self settle by sucking his fingers or something?
Feeding has helped her, in that she doesnt wake up again then til morning, before she was waking every hour, but now after her feed she just goes straight back to sleep then wakes at 6-6.30, she is never totally awake but still takes the feed. Its a shock to the system though going back to heating up the milk etc in the middle of the night!

Hey everyone, not been on in a long while, just dont seems to have the time!!

So hows everyone finding life with new babas??? Harley is an absolute star since day 1, so content and loves routine!! Has everyone had final jabs yet?? Harley was due his last thursday but had to take him to docs tuesday, he has got mild form bronciolitus. Hes been so poorly with it but still manages a smile or two! So we have the dreaded final jabs this coming thursday on my birthday!!! Do they put all 3 lots into the legs???

Well enough of my ramblings, Hope you and bubas are all well and enjoying the wonderful sunshine x x x

Hey Suzielou! I hope Harley is feeling better soon hun :hugs:

Joe had his last set of injections last week. They put 1 in his right leg and 2 in his left leg, poor little mite :(

i've iven up with scratchmits now ...just seem to annoy him more than scratching himself....he loves his thumb so i just have to make sure his nails are short enough

just waiting for little man to wake up now so we can go swimming yay!

Oh enjoy swimming.. we are going soon! Managed to take him to his first swimming lesson yesterday and he loved it!!

hi,

midwife and HV told me not to worry about babies hands being cold at night as long as their chest/body is warm.

hows the swimming going for everyone? its too cold at the pools here, and the nearest pool that is warm takes over an hr to get to and 2 diferent buses! so not really worth it for 15-20mins in the water b4 he gets cold.

I HAVE A WATER BABY!!...a full 45 min in the pool...n thats only cos the pool was shutting that we had to leve lol....and only cryed when we got out of the water!...then came home had a bottle n went strait to sleep didn't even say awake for a burp lol

how was everyone elses lazy sunday?

Sounds like Jack is a natural water baby lhamil :)

It might seem silly, but last night and just now Joe has gone to sleep without his dummy and I'm so proud of him :happydance: He's had it since he was about 3 or 4 weeks old and we're not purposely trying to wean him off it, but thought we'd give it a try and he sucks his fingers to sooth him. I do wonder whether he was waking in the night for his dummy, so maybe this might help him self sooth at night too.

Hope everyone's ok. I joined the weight loss group on here so am off to the gym today! Need to shift the last of my baby weight before I go back to work in a few months. HELP!!!! lol

jack is the same vicks....if he's over tired he'll need it for a bit before he goes to sleep but if i catch it right i'll put him in his cot when he's sleepy n he'll suckhis thumb till he drifts off

n good luck with the weight loss last week i lost loads then went shoppin n bought crisps so i've put it all back on lol

Wanted to hare this. It's a video made by a proud dad for his little girl who was born in September 09. Her mom posted it on another board I go to.

I started Lennox on rice cereal the other day he seems to like it. I was going to wait, but he kept staring at all of us and smacking his lips while we were all eating dinner. He was ready and very little comes out of his mouth. bbl he needs me.

where in the uk are you? i hope its not coming this way as i had enough of it dec and begining of jan!

blake only sucks his dummy whilst going off to sleep then he spits it out! i was considering a few nights of crying so i can get rid of it but its not fair on 4yr old who blake sharing room with as he got get up for school. so it will be my project for feb half term or easter in april!

have ay of your babies found their tongue yet? blake is forever trying to blow raspberrys or sticking his tongue out. its really funny!

We're near Milton Keynes. They're saying that it's going to be across central england but the weather forecast for us tomorrow is heavy snow, gulp!! Hope it's not too bad as we've a busy week planned!

Joe loves sticking his tounge out, it's so cute! It doesn't blow raspberry's yet, that will be so funny to see :)

jack sticks his tongue out ...only to be cheeky though lol...not yet mastered rasberrys yet though lol

i just been to the dentist AGAIN thing i've been about 12 times in the past 6 months...but then again might aswell get it done while its free eh?

Harley aint really bothered with a dummy, depends what mood hes in!! He hasnt quite got the raspberry blowing down yet, but loves having them done on his back, we have major baby giggles! Im not looking forward to this snow thats expected tomorrow, its pretty in the begining, but ive just had enough now, so im hoping the weather man is wrong!! Hubby has recently been made redundant, and is driving me mad already, so i may look into taking Harley swimming, just want to make sure he is fully fit after his bout of being poorly.

Hope your all having a fab day so far xx
