septembryos baby area (09 babies)

hi,

you will have to be cruel with weaning - give him the food, if he doesnt eat it after 10mins remove it then give bottle. do this at every meal. after a week offer water/juice at meal times not milk and he should realise he needs to eat.

does he have any interest in food? playing with it? trying to get food off your plates? etc, as this is an indicator that he is ready to be weaned.

cant help with cups/beakers as blake doesnt want to kjnow.

blake sat clapping his hands for 1st time yesterday, no idea who taught him to do it or if he just realised it makes a noise. (he likes making loads of noise!!!)

QUESTION 4 YOU?

do any of your LO's spend most of day with tongue sticking out? the past week whether blake's crawling/playing etc he sticks his tongue out. you tell him to put it away n he laughs at you. i told HV and she said it sounds like a new game to him.

aww bless blake! chloe does it when she is 'feeling' her teeth! lol

WE HAVE A MOVING DATE!!! lol yay 2nd july and the house is ours! :D

Chloe has been on a beaker/sippy cup for just over a month now and i had to do it cold turkey! but she was bottle fed so not sure how u would do it as lennox is BF! xxx

Hey mom2pne- Ahhh bless Lennox with all his teeth coming through. I gave Izzy her sippy cup at 4 months, and just persevered she tipped it everywhere, dribbled it everywhere, but gradually got the hang of it. As for the food and weaning thats a tricky one, i guess make sure u offer him everything u r eating.... hmmmm dont know really- could u post it in the weaning section maybe someone will help?

Amy- Blakes new game sounds fun! lol. Bless him! Izzy pokes hers in and out like a lizard! And she can strangely turn it upside down! She also has a good feel of her teeth!
Hows all going with your move etc?

Leelee- Yay on the date!!!!! is the house on the internet at all? Start packing!!!! How exciting!

We have finally sold the flat!!! We have made a bit of a loss but hey hey, at least we can get out of clacton, out of the poor lease, and get a freehold! We are looking at 3 houses tomorrow, so excited! We are going to do a big boot sale in a few weeks- not taking all the junk with me! I am so hoping everything goes through smoothly and fast!

Izzy has made a little progress- she can now get into the crawling position, and then sit back up- hasnt worked out how to get going yet though! Annoying when i put her down for her nap though as she gets on her hands and knees and sits up! lol

we have got a rented property being held for us for a few weeks (will be 3months when i pay deposit next week) up in lake district.

a guy has been to view our house and he has been outbid on 2 others in my rd so fingers crossed he will put in offer. as we are not re-buying we can accept bit less as we dont need it for deposit straight away - we cant get new mortgage cos of debt management plan. gggrrrrr! but i'm not taking a really low stupid offer!

Nice that the place is being held in the lake district, hope the man puts in an offer soon. We had to make a loss to sell the flat as the housing market is so bad at the moment, but we really need to get out. Gutting though after doing it up and spending about 5,000 on it over the last three years, we had to sell it for a thousand less than we bought it! grrr

we certainly wont be selling for less than we bought it for. from what we owe on mortgage to what it has been valued at we "should" get £12K after mortgage, estate agents, solicitors etc been paid. this is assuming we get asking price. we have said we will drop £3-4K off asking price IF we have to but we dont want to. which still leaves us with about £8K.

obviously we have got to put this aside and add to it over next few yrs so that we can re-buy in 3.5yrs when out of debt management plan. and hopefully by then the uk will be in a better position as well.

aww scally im jelous now! lol Chloe is still not making an attempt to get on her knees!
and amy i hope all goes to plan for u x

i have made the desision to take Chloe to the doctors as soon as i can as i noticed whilst she was in the bath today that her head is still not round but very noticeable flat on the right side! i havent really noticed it before as she has soo much hair i cant always tell, but today i could definatly see a difference :(

Honestly Leelee- the hands and knees thing was so sudden, i looked down and she was doing it, but showed no interest before and didnt even want to get on her front!
Izzy's head is def not round, it is a very weird shape! lol. Let us know what docs say when u take her, i am sure its nothing to worry about. Weirdly i have a flat part on the top of the back of my head, and can get the tip of my finger in a soft spot on my head- very strange!!!

Lee Congrats on your new house! GL with the doctors. I took Peyton in for his head shape and the nuerosurgeon said he didn't need a helmet. I think it would have helped. Peyton had torticollis so I had to do neck muscle stretching exercises on him. He didn't like that a bit. But you can see his that his left side of his head is not as perfect as his right.

Sorry Amy for all your finacial hardship! I hope your able to pay all your debt quicker than you have planned! No Lennox doesn't stick his tonque out. He really can't do that because he's tongued-tied and the pediatrician wouldn't do anything about it. So now I have to hope he doesn't have speech delays or he may need surgery for it to be cut.

Scally I'm sure when she does finally figure out how to crawl she'll just jump right into the next milestone like Lennox did. Also she's still within the time frame for when babies start crawling. Glad you sold your flat!

AFU I'm about ready to call Dell and tell them to shove this laptop up their bum! It's still giving me problems. The only good thing is I can surf the net much easier and quicker. I think with Lennox I'm going to get a sippie cup with a straw. It worked for Trent. He had trouble tipping the cups to get a drink. Trent almost had his first car accident yesterday. I let him drive to the store to get more practice in and we were on the main street and this guy he started braking on a side street because he had a stop sign. We noticed the guy look to his right all of a sudden he pulls out in front of us a Trent had to swerve around him. The guy never looked into our direction until we almost collided. Thank goodness Trent instinctively knew what to do! Lennox was in the backseat with us because my oh wanted to play in the backyard with the other 3 and Lennox is pretty crabby still from teething. I think he's starting to get his bottom teeth!

Well I'm going back to bed. Lennox was up for a feeding and has fallen back to sleep. I just hope he stays asleep for awhile so I can get more zzzz's! It's 5:06 here.

Helllooooooooooooooo!! I've been rubbish about getting on here so need to do a catch-up on the posts :)
Hope everyone's ok xx

Hey Vicks! Havent seen u on here for a while....hows it all going? work? joe etc?

Izzy is finally crawling!!!! I have been debating as she ends up somewhere and i didnt see how she got there- like today she managed to grab a cup of orange juice and tip it over the floor- no idea how she got it so quick! and then i saw it- she crawled!!!! woohoo!!!!

hi,

we said she would suddenly go didnt we? bet your well pleased. thing is you now need extra eyes. LOL!

i am on pram number 3 for blake!!! i had a big britax pramette when he was born, which was great but as he got bigger it was harder on bus especially as had to take it down quite abit as ppl wouldnt move. so we bought an umbrella stroller, this is still being used but has wonky wheels! LOL! and isnt going to withstand hill climbing in 4weeks time.......

so OH bought me a 3wheel chicco to take to mountains - was a bargain at £30, looks almost new, was used once a week at "grannys house" apart from the wheels are no longer black but grey from slight use its spotless. the wheels are big n chunky, it has suspension on all wheels, hand and foot brakes. i cant use it everyday as it big but will be great when we move to lakes as i intend walking alot more. (i wont have to worry about the nasty ppl from school and trying to get here n there asap so dont bump into them!)

Amy- three buggies- the one for walking sounds lovely, i am so jealous of where u r moving! Where we are going is a little village, i saw there was lots of footpaths going through fields so will have to explore them!

Leelee- so mega proud! have done a video today, shes still slow but i am sure she'll speed along in no time- her poor knees have bruises already from the laminate flooring!

i cant wait to move i really cant. beach within walking distance, mountains just out of walking distance but there are buses and cars! and shops in walking distance (not a major big town like i'm used to but has supermarkets, charity shops, clothes shops, mcdonalds etc i can survive!

3 buggies is nothing. with my eldest i had 8! i got bored of it and kept getting new 1s cos i could! and i had 5 with middle son. LOL! yes i have joined the pram a holics group!

Had a rough couple of days with Izzy- she has a viral ear and throat infection, her two front teeth coming through, and the doc said one of her back ones are too. She has had a temp, and peaked on fri night at 39.2, nothing bringing it down so we went to the out of hours docs at the hospital. They were so good, checking every single mark on her skin, and keeping us there for a while to check her temp. Poor thing, yesterday day time we managed to keep it under 38 for most of the day with calpol and nurofen, which is good and she seems better today and has woken up with a new tooth, so fingers crossed the others are quick too so we can get back to normal!
Hows everyone and your LO's?
