Hello,

Lucky you going down to a 3 day week, so jealous!!!! I have 10.5 days leave left this year, think we will take a week together in Sept and then I will use the rest to shorten my weeks to a 4 days week from week 32, either that or finish at 35weeks instead of 36w?

Yes I'm on FB as Rachel Miller (https://www.facebook.com/rachelmiller82).

I've just sent you a friend request!

I decided to use my hols up to shorten my weeks because I was worried about starting my maternity leave too early and then sitting around waiting for baby to arrive!
I'm now looking forward to my short weeks :)
xx

Meeeeeee!

Can get into town easily :)[/QUOTE]

I think we need to get organising then :) Whereabouts are u from?

I'm in Birley, which is towards Hackenthorpe/Mosborough side. 2 weeks until my pre maternity holiday starts - can't wait!

Hi Folly,

Welcome to our little Sheffield club. Is this your first? x

As for the meet up, I'm free most evenings or could do a lunch time in the city centre if you girls aren't in work. Unfortunately I am working to the 2 week-ends as we have some projects going live, but could potentially do this saturday morning as I'm not needed in until lunchtime?

I can't do this Sat as I'm selling at a summer fair (I make handcrafted cards) so that will take over my day!
Any other days?

I can do most evenings next week apart from Friday as thats when the 2nd half of my IT migration starts so am working another weekend :-(

Are you at the beach party fair in the peace gardens? One of my friends is doing face painting there (pretty in paint).

x

Crikey they are getting their money's worth out of you before you leave!!

I think I can do most nights apart from Tuesday night as that's my antenatal class night! Hopefully some of the other girls on here will be free too?

I'm somewhere just off Ecce Road tomorrow - not sure I'm good enough for the Peace Gardens yet :)

Touch-wood this is my last batch of weekend work, although might have a migration in Oct, but will be working 14 days straight from tomorrow :-( I'm just thinking of the OT. I really want a 3D scan but DH thinks they are a waste of money, but over these next 2 weekends will probably do around 36 hours OT which will more than cover the cost :-)

Have faith in your cards, I'm sure they are fab, my friend only started her face painting business this year after doing hen parties and family kids parties and she is book almost every weekend over the summer!

Girls - Are you free any night next week, and if so any thoughts on where/when we meet?

Yes, my first!

I can do any night at the moment except Tuesday and Thursday.

Which antenatal class are you going to mungaroo26? I go to Jessops on a Tuesday :)

Ooh, I'd like to come to a meet up :)

emz_x - The more the merrier - are you free any evenings next week? (looks like we need to avoid Tuesday and Thursday at the moment to fit in with everyone)

folly - my class is an antenatal exercise class - kind of light exercise for a bit, along with some relaxation and then a discussion at the end of the class on something pregnancy / baby related.

Are either of you on facebook? x

Have you found somewhere for a 3D scan? I was never really bothered about having one, but could be tempted now.... only problem is we don't know the sex of the baby and I'm guessing it could be fairly obvious on a 3D scan. Don't think my DH is convinced about having one either!
I only make the cards as a hobby - don't think there's enough money in them for anything more than that!

Re where to meet - probably somewhere easy for those that are further on than us as they may not want to travel too far? Or, somewhere in town to keep it central to all of us? Are we thinking a meal or something?

Not posted in this thread for a while, hope all are well :)

Any advice on how to get a baby out of the frank breech position? I have 5 weeks left to get some turning going on, else it's a section for me.

My baby was breech too (don't know what type it's called, but where he was bum first!). I spent a lot of time kneeling on the floor with my head on the floor and my bum up in the air, rocking back and forth. Apparently it can work, but it didn't for me. Also, try sitting on a birthing ball as much as possible - it can help to open up your pelvis.

I went for ECV at Jessops but the consultant had one feel and said LO wouldn't budge even if he tried, so I ended up with a section. However, if you're due to have your LO at Jessops I would try anything you can to get that baby turned - the ward they put you on when you have a section is horrible and you have no privacy at all - I've just put an 8 page complaint in about the "care" I received :nope:

Has your midwife given you any ideas?

Mungaroo,

Nice to see you back, 11 weeks, wow are you getting excited yet?

My LO has just started kicking in the past week so seems a lot more real for me. Saw the midwife today and she mentioned parent classes at Esportia, did you get referred to them also?

x

Mixture of excitement and a few nerves too I think!

I'm going to a class at Esporta in October-it's 12 days before my due date but that's the only class I could get booked in to! Think u have to book in early!
My little one doesn't stop moving around at the mo but it's a nice feeling knowing everything is ok in there!
Have u got a bump now?
X

Tried to book my classes today and the lady said they were fully booked  and to speak to my MW....have text her as her phone was turned off, but how on earth can they be booked up until then? I thought you only got told where you would be going after your 20w scan???

:-(

I was also surprised when they said I couldn't do a class until October - so close to the due date!
I hadn't even thought about getting booked in to classes until we discussed it at my 20 week midwife appointment anyway.... ! Perhaps some midwives encourage you to get booked in earlier?
Hope all else is going well with you anyway...
x

Mine told me to book early because they get booked up so far in advance. I booked in when I was about 10 weeks pregnant and went to the classes at Jessops when I was about 34 weeks.

Still working on DH re the 3D scan, I think he knows its inevitable, but he hasn't committed yet.

I'm easy as to the plan for the meet-up, perhaps see when people are free as if some people can join till later a drink/coffee could maybe work best? Any-one got any more thoughts on the day/venue?

Hello Sheffield ladies
Hope u all had good weekends? Any thoughts on a get together?
