Sheffield, South Yorkshire

I'm feeling very nervous! Have to sign the tenancy agreement for a new flat tomorrow. Everything seems to be happening so quickly. How are you doing?

I'm doing ok thanks! Our house is on the Market so everything could happen all at once for us too!
Have you bought most of what you need yet? X

I've bought so much :haha: It's ridiculous how much room it's taking up. Now I can't wait to get the flat because I'll have some storage space where I can dump everything. The only thing I have left to get is cot bedding. However, there's no real rush to get it because baby will be sleeping in a moses basket for the first few months.

Whereabouts are you hoping to move to? And have you bought most of what you need yet? x

Just moving local to where we are now - not a big move but we want a bit more space...

Not bought a lot of things yet - but then again I've still got 15 weeks to go so I've got a bit more time than you have!
xx

Found the link to the ante-natal exercise classes I was talking about... anyone fancy going?
https://www.keepmumsfit.com/

Hello,

Sorry havent been on here in a while, life has been a little hectic. I'd fancy it but be warned I'm not sporty and always go the wrong way at aerobics!!!

When you thinking of starting?

x
Lol I'm sure you would be fine! I'm not the most coordinated either :)

I got in touch with the lady that runs the class and she sent me some forms to fill in about myself and you put your preferred start date on that. I've put end of July. I can send you the forms if you like?

X

Hello,

Can you send a copy to [email protected] please? I have my 2 weeks leave from work last week in July and 1st week in Aug, so dont know if we are going to be in Sheffield until we're back in work. I should make a plan and know soon though!

Thanks,

x

Hey girls can I tag along to this thread too? I'm Sheffield (Tapton/Broomhill) xx

Hi Chele,

Of course you can, welcome! How are you doing?

x

Good thanks

On the subject of antenatal is anyone doing aqua natal?

Chele,

I'm interested in doing it but havent found a session yet, have you researched any?

x

I'm pretty sure there was one at King Edwards pool in Broomhill but nothing comes up on their website.

I think Hillsborough do it on a Thursday evening

I would be interested from early Aug, Broomhill is nearer for me than Hillsborough as that is totally the wrong side of town. :-/ Unless that class was soon after work?

Prob best phoning Hun. I think I'm just going to go swimming there in the meantime so when I get my bum in gear and go, I'll ask. Might see you there!

Hi ladies,

Aquanatal classes are held at Hillsborough Leisure Centre on Thursdays at 7.15pm and at King Edward VII Pool on Fridays at 1.15pm.

This info is from a leaflet I picked up at Jessops during my antenatal classes - although I never got round to going, so i can't comment on how good the classes are. It says you should only attend after 16 weeks.

The King edward classes are also for new mums and volunteers are on hand to look after the babies whilst mums are exercising, so I may look into going there once I can go swimming again.

Been offline for a few days, how is every-one doing? Got my 20w scan next Thur! :-)

Ah, a very exciting time! Are you finding out the gender?

It all seems like a long time ago now to me - had a bad day with LO today - he just would not stop crying

He has good days and bad days. He used to be really settled in the mornings and then be grumpy in the evenings. In the past week or so he's changed to being really grumpy in the mornings and not too bad in the evenings (although the hour before his bath is usually constant crying). The main problem at the moment is that he's hardly sleeping during the day, even when he's really tired - he'll only sleep on me or my OH, which when OH is at work is really tiring for me. I don't understand it because he goes to sleep so easily at night and we can even leave him in his moses basket to fall asleep by himself. But during the day he's just a different baby!

I've found the best thing to do is ensure we go out somewhere every day. Ideally this is somewhere we can spend a few hours, but if we can't manage that then a walk will do. He settles immediately on leaving the house!

Not posted in this thread for a while, hope all are well :)

Any advice on how to get a baby out of the frank breech position? I have 5 weeks left to get some turning going on, else it's a section for me.

SmartieMeUp - Not sure really. Might be worth having a google? 5 weeks is still quite a long time for the baby to turn, so fingers crossed it will turn itself naturally in that amount of time.

ArcaneSpark - congrats on the boy! Just as you suspected :)

sw121 - sounds like fun and games... hopefully you'll get the little one in to a routine soon. I can imagine that the first few weeks are quite tough!

11 weeks until my due date now - time seems to be marching on!

Mungaroo,

Nice to see you back, 11 weeks, wow are you getting excited yet?

My LO has just started kicking in the past week so seems a lot more real for me. Saw the midwife today and she mentioned parent classes at Esportia, did you get referred to them also?

Mixture of excitement and a few nerves too I think!

I'm going to a class at Esporta in October-it's 12 days before my due date but that's the only class I could get booked in to! Think u have to book in early!
My little one doesn't stop moving around at the mo but it's a nice feeling knowing everything is ok in there!
Have u got a bump now?

Tried to book my classes today and the lady said they were fully booked  and to speak to my MW....have text her as her phone was turned off, but how on earth can they be booked up until then? I thought you only got told where you would be going after your 20w scan???

:-(
