SMA red cartons

It says 6 month plus on the box but everyones telling me different things about when to start him on them!! Some say to start at 6 months, others say to leave it longer. Alfie is on the hungrier baby cartons at the moment, would the red cartons keep his as full for as long?

Follow on milk AFAIK has extra vits iron etc in it, I dont think it fills them up more, its a compliment to the solids they are getting. The HV told me to go to follow on because Liss is a vegi and needs etc iron, lots just stay on regular formula as its suitable until one, im not sure about hungrier baby though, but she said didnt need to start straight at 6 months. I just did it slowly replacing bottle at a time and let my tin of SMA run out. Then we were switched.
