Smear testing while trying...

I am ttc2, started this month but have just got a letter for my annual smear test, I had one at 25 and I'll be 28 in the summer and as its every 3 years I suppose that's why I got the letter, can you have a smear while ttc?

Think I'm going to wait out this month as AF due next weekend, then call and check if AF arrives

I had mine last week on CD18 just after ovulation, I asked the nurse beforehand and she said its perfectly safe and they recommend you to have it done around ovulation
