Sneaking back in...

Belle I so so so hope this it for you! I hope you are yelling those words from the rooftops in a couple days! Keep us posted!!

It's my right arm, so everything is so difficult! I didn't even ask if tramadol is ok in pregnancy but i am in so much pain I don't think i could survive on only acetaminophen. I'm trying to take the lowest effective dose.

Here's some info on tramadol and pregnancy, looks like it hasn't been studied in pregnant women but in animal models only very high doses had an effect. I would say that you are doing the right thing! Take what you need to manage your pain and don't worry about the rest. There is so much outside of our control with TTC, but there is no need for you to be in unnecessary pain right now!

So sorry to hear that its your right arm too! Awful!

Belle - I hope this is it for you! But, as you said we'll be here for you if you need to let it all out.

Wishn - sorry to hear about your injury! I wouldn't worry too much about pain meds until you get closer to the end of the TWW, until implantation no nourishment would come from momma...kind of like the drink til it's pink mentality.

6dpo here. Had my 7dpo progesterone test today which was 12.5. The nurse said they like to have it at 15, but it definitely confirms O. She said I don't have to increase my supplement...but I'm tempted to up from twice a day to three times since there is no harm in higher progesterone. Can't wait for this next week to be over!

Well it's 2 PM and still no spotting!!!! I might pick up an hpt on the way home to use tomorrow morning (13 dpo). I'm actually so nervous about it I could vomit. I'll make DH watch the test develop with me

Mk so great to hear about your O! Can't hurt to increase the progesterone if you wanted to!

Good news on no spotting Belle! Good luck if you decide to test tomorrow!

MK, glad they were able to confirm you O'd. Your wait is almost half over!

I think am 4 or 5 dpo...the pain of my elbow is becoming a bit more tolerable. I'm going a bit stir crazy lying around at home. This two week wait is going to feel even longer than it usually does!

Started spotting so I'm out. AF will probably be here on Monday as I suspect fertility friend doesn't have my O date right. Here we go, cycle 16's about to start

Thanks Wishn. It's pretty disheartening. I'm mostly just feeling numb to it all though

Wishn I am so sorry about your arm. I had a tooth pulled a few weeks ago, and I had the same thoughts about almost not wanting by to be prego just because of the X-rays and drugs and what not.

Belle I'm sorry your spotting.

Mk that's really great news about your ur progesterone level being up!

Afm, I started feeling really bad Saturday morning and took some sinus stuff thinking it was just my allergies, but I'm woke up with a bit of a fever and congestion and sore throat. Ugh. So not cool as I am starting to go into my fertile window and don't feel like doing anything, yet alone BD. Oh and I'm supposed to be taking my nephew to see the fantastic beasts movie. We've been planning it for two weeks so I hope I feel up to going. I even already paid for the tickets.

Pleasance - that sounds awful, hopefully you get over that crud quickly! If you really rely on your temps that's going to throw you off quite a bit. Rest up!

Belle - sorry it seems that AF is coming 🙁 I understand what you mean about bring numb to it, we just expect it after a certain time. Then you have the random months where you're super optimistic then devastated.

Wishn - hope that elbow heals quickly, how long did they say? Are you out of work because of it?

I'm getting the itch to test, which is silly because 1. It's too early 2. It's pretty likely it would be + anyways because of the hcg trigger shot (she said it takes about 12 days) 3. The heartburn and breakout symptoms are likely just progesterone symptoms...so have to wait it out until next weekend or if I can just until AF arrives.

Get well soon Pleasance, i hope illness doesn't keep you from bding!

MK if you cant fight the urge to test, you could get some cheap dollar store tests and test out your trigger. But it might just make the wait more stressful to see bfps that may or may not be real!

I should find out more about recovery time etc at my ortho appt on Thursday. I was off work for three days...hoping to go to work Monday but have to figure out a ride or public transit since i cant drive.

Hope your appt with ortho goes well tomorrow Wishn!

I've fought the urge to test. No new symptoms to speak of. 4 days until testing! I'm not very optimistic, expecting we'll do at least 3 rounds of IUI but am hoping they change up the needs next cycle.

Good luck MK! I wouldn't worry about no new symptoms, most early preg symptoms are progesterone related so your supplement might be masking any real symptoms, plus some women feel exactly the same until 6 weeks! Are you testing Saturday or Sunday? How many days does the trigger stick around? 10 or 11?

I'm 10 dpo today. I was feeling pregnant for a couple days, with sore boobs and feeling hot but it's fading. I'm really torn about whether I even want to see a bfp this month. I had my ortho appt today. Doc said my radial head/neck is broken and out of place so I need surgery asap to prevent it healing in the wrong position, or not healing at all. They call it open reduction internal fixation, which involves screws, plates and a bone graft. I asked if they could still do it if i turn out to be pregnant, and he said the general anesthetic would be risky but that they may be able to do it with a spinal block. I agreed to do the surgery and waiting to be called with a surgery date and pre-op appt. If I get a bfp before the appt I might cancel or postpone. I just don't know.

Wishn - I'd just say if you do get pg now, just trust your ortho and OB Dr's opinions on the safety of the surgery/anesthesia. They wouldn't do it if there were big risks to the baby (at least in the US they wouldn't as they'd be afraid of being sued).

I've been Googling so much the last few days. I was just thinking that if there was ever a person who reviewed people's search histories rather than a computer for marketing purposes if the ever looked at mine (and most other women ttc) they'd definitely think I'm cuckoo! How many times can I search for "xyz BFP" of "xyz 8dpo"? Lol!

Currently it has been "cervical position BFP 12 dpo" and about this yellowish disharge with the progesterone. I've noticed when I'm inserting my suppositories my cervix is really high...supposedly it is high in pregnancy but is low for AF (mostly but of course a lot of variance) and this yellowish d/c I've had the last 2 months on suppositories just before AF, so I've started to associate the yellow with AF more than the suppositories.

I really want to wait until Mon as I'd rather have AF arrive than see a blank test...I should have just tested early so my trigger gave me a BFP just for fun! I can't take another blank test!

MK I think the high cervix could be a good sign! I have everything crossed for you testing on Monday! Keep us posted!

I had a BFN this morning at 11 dpo, so it's unlikely I am pregnant. I have also been googling like a maniac! "Surgery anesthesia pregnancy" and related topics. Argh i just want to know so that i know what i should be worrying about (having surgery while pregnant vs having surgery period!)

MK I am keeping my fingers crossed for you!! I so hope this is it! I definitely can relate to hating those blank tests. I really hope that won't be the case for you this month. I need some good news!

Wishn, in some ways I hope you aren't pregnant this cycle so that you can get your surgery and not have to worry about it. Surgery is stressful enough as it is! I hope it all goes well!!

I'm CD 6 today, will be in my fertile week in a couple days. I'm thinking of temping over the next few days to confirm O.... But I'd have to find my thermometer hahaha. Got misplaced in the move. Our house is starting to feel like home. There is still a bit of unpacking left to do, but not too much! We have painted our bedroom and put up curtains and I absolutely love it!

Glad to hear you're settling in to your new home Belle! I've definitely had cycles where i was like, what is going on, man I sure wish I had temped this cycle! Have you ever done vaginal temping? I did for half a cycle and found my temps were a lot more consistent, so I think if I ever felt like starting temping again it would be vaginal.

I'm 13 dpo today. BFN at 11 and 12 and now just waiting for the witch. I have mixed and confused feelings about it all. I would of course be thrilled to get a bfp but also relieved to see AF, if that makes any sense.

Wishn that totally makes sense considering the circumstances!

I may try vaginal temping as I'm still a bit congested when sleeping at night and have been sleeping with my mouth open. I'll probably start temping at CD 9, and stop after O is confirmed (3-5 dpo). Equates to just over a week of temping. That feels tolerable to me. I can skip it entirely the rest of the time

Belle - I think your plan for temping sounds great. It really is only most useful to confirm O which you can do with just those days. I don't really feel like there is any benefit to temping during AF. Once you confirm O, it just makes me more crazy analyzing any little temp change. I'm not currently officially tracking my temp, because DH told me not to per doctor's advice but I have the last several days. I was excited when it was a little higher than normal post-O temps, but them yesterday and today it is down around where it usually is when I get AF.

Hope you are enjoying the new house. We've been in our house since Aug 2015 and I finally unpacked the last of boxes almost exactly a year after we moved in. We have 5 bedrooms for the 2 of us, so definitely have rooms that we don't need right now so outside of the 2 offices and our bedroom the others just kind of sat there. One of course is waiting to be a baby's room!

Wishn - hopefully you can just get this cycle and your surgery out of the way and then carry on with your plan! Hope your pain has subsided at least somewhat.

15 DPO/DPIUI and still no clear signs of AF here. First month on the progesterone suppositories I had to stop taking them for AF to start (I think I waited until 16 or 17 DPO), but last month is started on it's own earlier than I expected. It sucks because I don't want to get a BFN but if AF doesn't show because of the progesterone I'll have to go that route. I should probably just get it over with! Bought a couple tests yesterday. CM is still creamy with no signs of blood and cervix still seems high. But when I woke up this morning my tummy felt like AF was coming.

Ooh MK I'm so excited for you. As awful as it is to test it might be best to just get it out of the way tomorrow morning. I really hope this is it for you!
