Sparkler Mums and Babies Thread!

Katie is walking now :) little monkey she is but very cute none the less :)

Aww hurray for Katie :happydance:

I still feel like Toby is a long way from walking, although he has been pulling himself up and cruising with furniture for a while now but seems to much prefer crawling very fast! I'm not in a particular rush for him to master it though, we may have baby-proofed the house but it's certainly not toddler-proofed! Lol

Things have been a bit tough for us recently, Toby has been really quite poorly with one thing and another, he started with a cold about 5 weeks ago, ended up with tonsillitis and an ear infection which he went on antibiotics for, then started with diarrhea and vomiting (which i assumed was due to the antibiotics, amoxicillin is nasty  Anyway, it got pretty bad he was very lethargic and stopped having wet nappies so we ended up at the children's hospital with him, to cut a long story short we were home after 5 hours, they'd taken a urine sample and told us to stop the antibiotics, encourage fluids and to fetch him back if he got any worse. He didn't get worse but didn't get better either :nope: So we were back at the GP on Wednesday and were told it was a virus and would get better in a few days, well, to be fair he did improve slightly, still having D&V but having wet nappies and a little brighter in himself.

Then we had a phonecall from the hospital on Friday afternoon, and 5 days after providing the urine specimen they decide to ring to tell us that actually, it turns out, all this time he's had a UTI :growlmad:  So he is finally on the right antibiotics and on the mend. On top of that he now has his very 1st tooth (top front tooth) poking through the gum and it looks like several more are set to follow, his feeding and sleeping is all over the place (last night was hellish!) and my hours have increased at work now as well as OH being back at uni with exams and working part time to fetch in extra money so it's all been a bit nuts really. I am on nights this week then off on annual leave next week (Toby's birthday week) and really can't wait for a break and to enjoy spending some time with my little family!

Hey Rebaby, sounds rough! Poor Toby! Hope he gets better really soon.
Katie now has 4 teeth but only in the last few weeks, 1 top and 1 bottom came through together, followed by the other top one and finally the second bottom one just coming through the gum. It certainly makes bf different!! Hope Toby doesnt bit Rebaby cos it really hurts..... thankfully Katie has only done it once on purpose but twice by accident.....

I see you are ttc then honey.... seems like a few of us have decided to try for #2 :) Good luck, perhaps we will be bump buddies again eh!

What have you planned for Tobys birthday? Its the same day as Katies :)

EEEEEK its november and all our babies birthdays this month!!!!! cant beleave jack is 1 on sunday!!!!

Cant believe your little girl is due in less than 6 weeks ...... are you ready?

What plans does everyone have for the sparklers birthdays?

No biting so far thankgod but he has scraped his new little pegs against my nipple and that was icky enough! We are combinations feeding now though, have been since i went back to work, he still has a breastfeed first thing in the morning, before bed and then in the night if he wakes (which he does  ) but formula feeds during the day.

Yes we are ttc/ntnp, came off the pill mid september and we're hoping for a BFP soon as we'd like a summer 2011 baby :D

We're having a tea party on Saturday afternoon with a bit of food and a few very tame fireworks! We invited pretty much all of our families and a few friends thinking not many people would make it (all OH's family are in North Wales and most of mine in West Yorkshire) but mostly everyone is coming after all so god knows where they're all going to sit! We've only got a little 2 up 2 down terrace!

Got some seeeerious cleaning and tidying to do beforehand as well, i'm off work this week but somehow the place is even more of a tip than if i'd been at work?!

i know 5weeks 2moz!!!! eeeeeek i feel better this time coz i know what to expect and what contractions feel like. i just cant wait to meet her now!

i cant beleave this time last year i was in labour!

Jack had a fab birthday yesterday, my house is like a toy shop!!!!!!

Same here... Katie had lots of friends to her party and seemed to have fun :) She seems to have turned into a wilful, stroppy 1 year old tho...lol

Aww it's mad that they're one isn't it?! A whole year has just whizzed by!

I can sympathise re: the willfull thing though, Toby's favourite trick at the mo is this manouvere he has when he doesn't want to be put somewhere (on the floor/in his pram/car-seat) where he goes all floppy and heavy then all stiff and straight and arches his back making it impossible to get him to bend in the middle and sit down  He is also very into shrieking, although as far as i can tell they are happy shrieks, but ear-splittingly loud and high pitched!

We found out on Tuesday that all being well he will have a new baby brother or sister next summer so we're all very excited about that :cloud9:

Wow!!!!! Congrats rebaby! Our 2nd sparkler brother or sister :happydance:

2 weeks until the big day for us. Just started planning the party. 27 people including us. Thats an awful lot right? Especially as there will be 3 babies and 1 toddler only!

Culann has been a bit funny recently. He is definitely pushing his boundaries and is quite naughty sometimes. I arrived at creche today to see him about to hit a boy of 10 months around the head with a maraca :/ he then proceeded to start banging the radiator with it and shouting at the top of his lungs, really really loudly! I was mortified! He can throw tantrums at the drop of a hat, lunches out are probably not able to happen anymore as he just wants out of the chair and walking around, and if it doesn't happen, he goes crazy!

I admit that I do find it really hard at times. What happened to my happy, smiley eager baby?? I'm sure that its just a phase though and once he can communicate a bit more, he will go back to his old self. I hope...:)

:wohoo: way to go rebaby, hopefully I will be there too next month :)
Jenny if it makes you feel any better, we had about 18 children / babies and about 20 adults to Katie's.....

omg omg omg rebaby!!!!!!!!!!!!!! im soooooooooooo happy for you!!!!! :happydance: :happydance: :happydance:

and im no longer the only one preg wooooooooo :haha:

4weeks left 2day for me!!!! eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeek :baby:

Ok, so I don't believe I have ever joined this. My username was KJunkie for my pregnancy, changed it after having Joseph.

Since having Joseph I got pregnant again. My due date with Joseph was Nov. 12, and then with our little girl it was Nov 10. So, if you can imagine! :haha:

I cant believe all our babies are a year old now.

wow congrats hun my girl is due on saturday :D xxx

Good luck Kirsty! Gorgeous babies SL - you really have your hands full eh!

Good luck Kirsty! I am sending lots of labor dust to you hon.
:dust:

Come on baby Emily! :dust:

Hope she doesn't keep you waiting much longer Kirsty

Unfortunately we've had sad news today, although it was expected in a way as things haven't been going quite as they should for a couple of weeks now but still it's devastating to find out for sure...our twin pregnancy is not going to work out, seems i'm having a MMC so i'm going in for a D&C/ERPC tomorrow at what would have been exactly 9 weeks pregnant :(

In other news Toby is walking a few steps now, only occasionally and only a couple of steps unaided before he grabs onto something/someone or falls down but it's still a lot of fun to watch :cloud9:
