Awww they're growing up so fast! One of my (childless) friends text me today to ask how things were going (haven't seen her since may! I would put a shocked-face smiley here but it's not really that much of a shocker these days! Lol) and when i told her Tobias is well and truly on the move now, she was like "How can he be? He's only just been born...like...yesterday!"
He is crawling super fast, pulls himself up to standing, takes a couple of tentative steps holding on to something, can sit himself back down (in a fairly controlled manner). He says mamamamamamamam which everyone goes "awww" to to but quite honestly i think he just likes the noise it makes i don't think he knows what it means or associates it with me? He doesn't say Dada or anything similar but when i say "Where's Daddy?" he looks around for him and claps/squeals when he sees him (The clapping is a new thing, he only learnt it yesterday and keeps repeating it over and over).
We're still breastfeeding and sort-of BLW. Well, we are BLW, but he is teething like crazy (although no actual teeth yet!) and can get pretty upset/frustrated at mealtimes so on a few occasions now we've fallen back on more TW meals, like things with mashed potato for e.g., he's had a couple of "emergency" stage 2 baby jars and he likes cold natural yoghurt. We're just taking our cues from him really.
I am back at work part-time and knackered. Really wishing i wasn't back yet (or, in fact- ever! ) but we're all slowly adjusting to the change. Toby is with OH while i'm at work but that's only going to be the case for this next month. At the end of september OH is leaving work to go back to uni for 3 years wacko: ) so Toby will be starting nursery part time which i am a bit about although i am sure he will love it as he's very sociable.
And that's us really!
Anyone planning anything fantastic for the big 1st birthday party? We are hoping to arrange a family party but that could be more complicated than it sounds knowing our families (for a start off they're spread all around the country! )
