ssc just saying hi

just thought we should come and say hi.
we are a SSC who tried TTC through AI home insemination between 09-11 unsuccessfully and have taken just over a year break.
we are now talking about trying again possibly through IUI this time rather than DIY - just at the beginning stages of discussions really.
i also have experience of being a SSP as my ex had a child from a previous relationship. i was in his life from him being 9 months till he was 7 so have experience of the joys and prejudices that come with SSP-ing.
anyways hopefully we can get some good advise from this forum and us hopefully give lots of encouragement to other people who are TTC.

The good thing about using a doc, is they can findout any infertility issues right away and IUI is very precise. We got pregnant immediately on both tries. First one we lost (chemical). Second is going strong so far 6 weeks in. But its expensive, in the U.S. its not paid for, so expect to have savings ready!!!! Lots of small costs like hormones and ultrasounds and tests and bloodwork besides the actual IUI. Good Luck!
