induction booked for tomorrow lunchtime.
Hope you all have your babies soon, this has been the longest 11 days of my life! Had a sweep last Monday & was 2cm so didn't think I'd still be here today. Xx

I asked my dr last Thursday how long he would let me go overdue (just so we all would be on the same page and I know what to expect in the next couple weeks) and he looked at me and was like "When are you due, the 27th right?" and I said yep, and he said okay let me look at something and the next thing I knew he's talking about inducing me on Tuesday January 24th (when i'm 39w4d) and scheduled the reservation for 6 am and said the induction date is there for me to take if i want to be induced on that day, and if i don't want to be induced, i don't have to go in at all.

and i'm having mixed feelings about it!!! I know i am done being pregnant but at the same time i'm not sure if I want to take the induction date and run with it??

If you guys had the induction date that you guys were free to take it (no pressure) would you do it? or would you stick it out?

They seem so keen to enduce labour in the US they wont even give you a sweep here until 40+ weeks and dont even think about induction until 12 days overdue. I would wait it out, its best that baby gets into a good position etc for labour x

yeah it's so strange how things are different here and there. my dr did say i had a very favorable cervix and from teh way he talks, he seems to think that i will go early before my EDD and possibly the induction date but who knows, it's unpredictable!

i dont think they will give you a sweep until you are 40 weeks here too. i havent had any and my dr could easily have gave me one since i'm 2 cm dilated but he didn't.

nothing new really...baby has been quiet overnight and watery discharge, lots of plug yesterday. Even shouted OH up last night off the xbox to never worked grrr xx

I am starting to get quite anxious

I am gonna rope OH into having sex again tonight, after I have had my sweep off the midwife today!

I dont have any plans apart from midwife at 2pm......she is also booking me an induction for 6 days time too cant belive it! come ouuut baby!!!

I have just made beds, cleaned bathroom, washed up, now i need to hoover and mop, sweating buckets xx

Just had midwife and she didn't do sweep said I can call her at weekend if I want one but I wanted one nowwwww she just kinda shrugged it off and cos she had student with her i didn't say anything I'm having waters broke on Monday so see what happens in the mean time

Omg, so she came and would not do a sweep!? I would not have let her leave without one

are you going into hospital to get your waters broke? I would have thought they would have tried sweep 1st! xx
