Still TTC - For the ladies who have been here a while

Right. Just got back from the docs to have my day21 bloods done. The nurse said that my blood work results were back from last Monday but as she wasn't a fertility specialist, she couldn't comment on them. I asked to have a look.

Anyway, two issues highlighted in red:

High prolactin and high tsh.

Got an appointment with the doc this coming monday but anyone any ideas??

hi hun, at least your getting some answers finally
both tsh & prolactin are to do with the piturity gland and thyroid.
both can be treated with meds, so you sohuld have it ironed out pretty soon.

i'm still waiting for a letter from the clinic giving me the all clear. beginning to loose my patience, i keep geeting told to complain and sue, but i'm not sure?

Ok Hi - this is just ridiculous! If what you've already been through wasn't enough

On the plus side, when you've got the all clear, it'll been full steam ahead on the IVF train...whoop whoop!!!

In terms of my results - i really need to get off the net - i'm freaking myself out. I'm hoping the doc goes " you have this non life threatening (insert non-life-threatening-and-completely-able-to-be-controlled-with-meds illness here)... and all you need to do is take these pills and you're laughing".

Hmmm, fingers crossed eh?

Lilmiss- I hope everything will be resolved easily. Try not to stress, that will only freak out your body more

Hispirits- It is pretty messed up about the false positive. I wouldn't sue, that's bringing a lot of negative energy in around you and that's not what you want for TTC. Be on them about that letter though, I hope you get it soon!

Now I'm wondering why my doc didn't want me to go in for more blood tests, it's weird, he doesn't suggest a whole lot, I'm always the one to bring up things
I'll be seeing him at the end of this month so I should start a list of things to ask him!
FF has been telling me that they think i'm going to O, I hope they're right!!! Gotta get

The docs said that my results were normal this time so got to repeat them again next cycle at cd21 to check my prolactin again cos if it's high again, they'll have to scan my head to have a look at my pituitry gland .
She said I have to get a smear after af and they'll take some swabs to check for infection and if they come back clear she'll refer me to the FS.

I'm spotting again and ive had period pains for three days but ive still not come on! Longest cycle yet. BFN this morning though so not gettin me hopes up for a surprise ha ha!

what a pain. this part, tests, results diagnosis always takes forever, theres always set backs and it can get very frustrating.
but once your through it the treatment is always like a whirlwind.
don't worry about the scan, i have epilpesy and have had tonnes of scans on my head, its quite fascinating, espcially when your get to have a look at the images.

if you don't get a bfp this cycle hun, look on the bright side, your luteal phase is much better, and your on your way to getting sorted.

i'm in a similar situation, i sent off my test results to the Dr, they got there friday, i know because i tracked it so i called them this morning, they have the letter, the dr has my notes, but the dr is off till next week so frustrating, but i kinda decided, things happen for a reason, as long as i'm in the loop and know whats happeneing, i don't mind waiting, i'd rather they take their time and do it properley than rush through it all.

i'm off to a spa today, i'm getting a wax, i'm going for a hollywood, and i'm crapping myself, my best buds coming and having one too, should be a laugh!
and then we're back there friday for a day of massage and relaxing, i cannot wait.

Ya, my body failed to O again. Not surprised, it definitely tried right around when it should, but for whatever reason, didn't follow through. In a week i'll be going to the docs and then probably going on meds. I hope it's worth it! I HAVE to remember to tell my doctor that I want to go in for bloods through out my cycle to get a better idea of what my hormones are doing. I wish I had the money to go somewhere warm for a month! I need it!

My name is Louise im 24 (25 in may) engaged to Tony for 7 yrs we have 2 children Anthony hes 5yrs and Ruby 3 1/2 yrs i also had 1 mmc at 13 weeks in 2005 and 6 wks in june 2007 and may 2011 around 8weeks i had the implant in for 2 hlf years been out yr today my cycles have been all over the place so i got some ov sticks they arrived today so i can catch that egg.

Hi Somersetlass I'm sorry to hear about your mcs. I had a mc in May 2010 at 6 weeks, we were NTNP, I also had a chemical in August 2011.
Are you charting? I highly reccommend it, it's better than just using the OPKs. Check out www.fertilityfriend.com.

are you a bit nervous about the treatment, you must be, but i hope your excited too.
i'm excited and nervous aswell at the moment, so strange how you, me & lilmiss are all in similar boats at the same time. i really think that by the end of this year we will all finally have avery sticky i know it, i cant explain the postive energy i'm feeling right now, i'm not worried about it failing at all, the time is so right for all of us i feel completely chilled and on
just take every day as it comes because this time next year we could all be mummies! or mommies
i'm so excited! bring it on!!!
