Lo is 8 months and a great sleeper - usually 7.30pm to 7am.

We had issues with early waking but it seemed that was just a phase.

Over the last week or so, she has dropped from 3 to 2 naps but it hasn't affected her sleep.

The last 2 nights she has been WIDE awake going to bed! It takes her about 45 mins to settle! That usually means rolling around the cot, grabbing a teddy and bashing it against the cot bars, a little cry, cuddles and then finally asleep! We did CC a while back and she self settles.

Is it this heat? She's slept a little more in the day the last 2 days - I thOught maybe lots of fresh air/sunshine!

Logan was the same last night!! Wide awake but refused to sleep even though he was definitely tired! He normally sleeps 7pm-7am but last night didn't settle until gone 9!! Hes just started cutting his second top front tooth, is your LO teething?

Same here! Seth is 8 months tomorrow.

He used to sleep similar hours to your LO, so around 7-7 or thereabouts. We started with earlier wake ups, anywhere between 5.30 and 6.30. This threw his naps out which then made his bedtime a little later, and it became a vicious circle!

This past week though, he's been a nightmare at bedtime! He's always been brilliant at self settling, but since he learnt how to stand up, as soon as you lay him down in the cot he's up! Lay him back down, he's up again, walk out the room, he crys! Friday night it took til 10.30 to get him to sleep (from 7.45!), last night it took an hour and tonight was just under 45 minutes.

I can't see any teeth appearing so I don't think it's that. I'm presuming it's developmental and he wants to be awake to practice standing and pulling up etc. I know that it's just a phase that will pass eventually, but it doesn't stop it from testing your patience!!

Snap! Ciara is a bit older than your LOs (13 months) but has been playing up a bit both at bedtime and for naps the past few days. I wondered if it was heat too. But she's been fine once asleep. Just taking a bit to settle initially

She has just cut her first tooth - on the bottom and although she hasn't seemed in any distress I wonder if there's another coming?

Thanks for the responses - nice to know I'm not alone!!

Definitely possible, Logan cut his first top one 5 days ago now the second top one is cutting, he was fine with the first one, but this one seems to be bothering him :(
Like the other posters say though, it could be developmental.
Hope your LO is back to their normal self soon :flower:
