Summer Lovin'...bring us some babies!

Wow Beaglemom - isn't that like 10 times higher than the last one? That is such great news! Excited for you and fingers crossed that this is it for you!!

I wish AF would just show up already so I can call and schedule my CD3 tests since they *might* be open on Saturday. If it shows up tomorrow I'll probably have to go in on Monday. If for whatever reason it doesn't show up till Saturday I'm not sure if they'll be able to schedule me in the same day on Monday.

Temp went slightly up this morning so I tested. BFN as expected.

Sarah, just popping in to say congrats, because I'm thinking that's a BFP. :) I had a feeling some clomid and IUI was all you were gonna need!! Good for you Hun! How exciting! I agree with Michelle though, I would be telling them I want to come in today for bloodwork, or at least tomorrow! I wouldn't be able to hold out the whole weekend.

Great looking strips Sarah! Crossing my fingers for a sooner blood test!

I'm so glad you guys use the castor oil! I figured it can't hurt! Now I want a fertility massage!
Great count beagle. Hope you feel better soon!
Hi Erin, I thought you had left us! How is ivf going? I'm anxious to start my cycle. You should be almost done right? Maybe I missed an update? I'm in the birth control stage with my pesky cysts. I'm really afraid of egg retrieval. Hoping yours goes well!

Its finished, and it was a BFN. I was really upset, but I'm okay now. I still have 6 frozen embryos waiting for me. They say sometimes in a fresh cycle, your body is just too pumped full of hormones for the uterus to be receptive to the embryos. For that reason, there is a slightly higher success rate with frozen embryos, and my body has fully recovered and hormones back to normal, so my RE predicts that the frozen transfer will be successful. :) I have an IVF thread over in the assisted conception forums if you want to join us. I've just been posting over there more often, and checking in here occasionally.

Beagle, sorry you're not feeling well, but a big thumbs up on the sperm count! Way better than last time. Feel better!

Thanks everyone for your encouraging words and feedback! Erin so good to see you! Sorry your first round didn't work out, but it sounds like the second round will be it for sure!

I called my doctor's office and told them the situation, and they said Monday morning just to be sure (I guess then mean to be sure the trigger is out but I clearly explained that it had gotten light then dark again). I was disappointed, but I didn't argue. I went to a class at the gym but took it easy then stopped by and got some tests after. I got a FRER and one of the CB that tell how many weeks. I'm not sure when to take them. Don't want to right now cause I just drank a whole bottle of water, and I'm afraid it will be diluted. I'm just a little bit in shock right now. Just please pray that if this is my bean, it will stick!

Thanks Sarah. :) And yes, I believe the next one is gonna work. It's scheduled for Sept 4th, although that could change depending on when I get AF this cycle. Oh, and right now we are trying naturally. I am O'ing today, so we decided to give it a shot. LOL Totally not stressed about it though, since we'll have the frozen transfer early Sept.

Will pray that this is your sticky bean. :) I think it is.

Oh Erin so sorry! I've actually thought about not doing a 5 day transfer for that exact reason! My body was so crazy after all of the extra drugs they pumped me up with that I actually thought there's no way I could get pregnant like this. I was so stressed out. I will find the ivf thread and catch up!
Sarah, test on Saturday morning!

Sarah I agree with everyone else. If it's the one at the bottom, it is definitely darker! Too bad you have to wait until Monday to know for sure. Do you feel anything different? Fx'd!

Congrats Beagle! That's a great count. Hoping everything ran smoothly for you. GL!

Yes Jen I also did the castor oil pack during a couple of days before ovulation. I figured it couldn't hurt since it helps blood circulation, the removal of scar tissue, cysts, endo, etc.

Hi Erin! I really hope this is your cycle! I've been following your other thread on/off. Either way, FET gives you great odds so Fx'd! O:)

Savvy how is everything with you and your babies? Have you started telling people yet?

Michelle how are you? O:)

Ok so today was my last IUI & hopefully my last step in tis TTC journey (until#2 ;)) So we got there & my husband did his thing. I asked him how it went. We always joke about his part. He said he waited a minute to make sure every last drop got in the cup! So we were waiting for my turn. Just a back story...my last IUI was done by a dr because the count was so low thy wanted him to talk to us. Anyways while I waited I saw that dr go to the room where they wash the sperm. He came out with a sample & saw me & waved. I was like oh shit that better not be my sample! I was nervous of another low count. So a few minutes passed & I said it can't be us...he wouldn't have gotten the sample before we were even in the room. So we get called back & we wait. Then the tech says do you prefer a dr or it doesn't matter. I said it didn't matter. So she leaves & we are like wtf! Why ask about a dr? Never asked before. So we are nervous. So then my nurse pops in & says I am going to get the goods be right back. Again, what the hell! Just get in here & do it...we were freaking out. So she comes back & I say what's the verdict? She said 5 million & we were so happy. So she starts & can't find my cervix...took forever...but she was joking around. She sad she inserts the sample in spurts...no science behind it but she just figured it is easier for my body to accept it a little at a time. Then she holds the catheter in for a bit to bock the only exit. I really liked her.

So then after we went around shopping & looking at baby things. We love doing that. I went to Target...the devil! Because I always find something to buy! Well I found a breast pump for $54 originally $180! I looked around & hand pumps not on sale are $40, so I figured worth buying. By lunch I was walking so slow & ready to get home. So I slept on the hour & half drive back. It was a really good day. I am feeling good about everything.

Now I am home on the couch relaxing while my husbands gets some much needed chores done. I may have to nag him, but he does get things done...I love him so much!

Oh & on the way home I accidentally said do you think we made some babies? (Instead of baby...singular!)

I actually bought the digital week estimator for my next testing. I thought they were dumb at first but then looked at the box...seems that digital is more sensitive than the regular. So since my husband is doing the test this time, I wanted digital & I wanted something accurate for 14 dpo.

Erin I am so sorry it didn't work:( I really thought this was it for you! Praying this next time is a complete success!

Sarah post pics if you take the frer!

Glad the count is going back up beagle! Let's hope one found an egg:)

How's everything going Suzy??

Floridasian hope you can get in for your day 3 scan. I hate that one!

Afm I had my fertility massages this morning. Not sure what she did but she was massage my jaw and now my head and neck hurt. Going to continue until I O. I haven't started opks yet will in 3 or 4 days. I have switched up this month a lot! More vitamins, healthy eating (well, better than before), exercise, fertility massages, soft cups, and concieve plus. Let's hope this month works so I don't have to do another IUI. But if not then I am ready for another one. And this time I am being regular Michelle- more in control of my cycle and care!

Floridasian - I meant to comment on you CD 3 scan. My office allows this scan to be a walk in procedure. I think because they are so quick, does not require a dr present, & so common. They do not allow it on the weekend. But my last one as on a Monday...I called ahead to be sure...& this is a walk in procedure for me...hopefully the same for you.

So the week estimator is more sensitive than dye tests?? I've always heard that digital tests are less sensitive. But maybe the week estimator one is better..? Did it say on the box how low the miu is that it will detect? I mean, regardless, since you are waiting until 14dpo to test, it will be accurate for you! I'm just so surprised to hear that they are more sensitive since I've always heard the complete opposite!

Also, when I got prego in Dec, I got positives on the FRERs and also the First Response digital that says "Yes" or "No" by 15dpo, but on that same day, I got a "Not Pregnant" on the CB digi. It was the only test that gave me a negative that day. But I never tried the week estimator test, so maybe the one I used that says Pregnant or Not Pregnant is just the least sensitive of all tests, ha! Either way, you'll be good at 14dpo!

No measurements on the box...but I looked at the accuracy percentages on the side...you know what I mean?...how accurate by days before missed period. Well the percentage is higher on the week estimator than it is on the regular cb digital. So that is my science. I also figured if it can say 1-2 weeks it has to be sensitive enough to catch that. Does my logic make sense?

Ah yes, I know that chart you're talking about where it gives the percentages by days before period! Ok, gotcha. Yep, makes sense. And since you compared it directly with the chart on the regular CB digi, that explains why the CB digi was the only test not giving me a positive!

It also makes sense if it can detect 1-2 weeks, then it has to be sensitive enough to "potentially" detect hcg at 7dpo. I mean, doubtful that it does quite THAT early, but it would have to somewhere in between.

Well, thats good to know! If I ever buy a digi again, I'll get that one. I know the First Response digi that says Yes or No did give me a positive, so that one is obviously more sensitive than the regular CB digi too. Now that I know all this, the next time I get a digi, I will avoid the regular CB digi altogether!

Yeh & the price was pretty similar...might be a dollar or 2 more. But the Target I was at only had a 3 pack...another store had a 2 pack. My husband said to go ahead & get it...we will end up using them. I said you shouldn't say that! We only need one more test :) I think my 3 pack was $15.

Sarah I can't believe they are making you wait the WHOLE WEEKEND! It would be like the longest weekend EVER! And your success is making me want to jump on the IUI train right away!

Erin, so glad to hear from you. Sorry your first IVF didn't work out, but yeah..our bodies can treat embryos as intruders and try to reject them. There is a thing called the "antihistamine protocol" and was used developed and used by an IVF clinic in Denver (I heard that they no loner prescribe that protocol though) basically to combat this. You might want to look into it and ask your doctor if it would help.

Beaglemom - really glad your IUI went well and your hubby's count went up. That is a great improvement. I'm not sure if the First Response week estimator is more sensitive but I think most people do prefer it to the clear blue digital. It'll be fun to see you hubby use it!

Thanks floridasian! Oh, and I did request some blood tests... One is an indicator if the body has that auto-immune thing that could be treating the embryos as foreign intruders. She said it's really rare and she normally only does it if someone has had recurrent mc's or repeat failed IVFs. But she said she'd do it for me to give me peace of mind. If it comes back positive, I think it would require a further test, but we're hoping it just comes back negative. The other thing she's testing is for clotting issues. Again, she usually only does it after repeat failed IVFs. But I wanted it now anyway. If that is an issue, they can give me heparin before the transfer. But she doubts I have those issues. She seems to think everything is fine and the FET is gonna work. But I'm glad she was willing to do the tests, just so I can know before the transfer. :)

Yeah..I think it's called antiphospholipid syndrome. Doctor ordered the test after my m/c. Is there a name for the test for the blood clotting disorder? I wonder if that was one of the five tests I did that day.
