Summer Lovin'...bring us some babies!

Thanks beaglemom! I took my first dose of Letrozole last night and I'm a little more tired than usual this morning, but other than that I feel fine. I'm waiting for my doctor to call me back about my lab results. A little nervous but I remain hopeful! :)

I remember clomid gave me headaches & hormonal. Now the follistim does that

I think you have a good shot...especially getting pregnant on your own before. Hopefully some of these :bfp: we are seeing in August are contagious ;)

We've seen several long time TTC'er getting their BFP's this month. I sure hope it'll be our time soon! You and me both, beaglemom!!

Hi everyone! After a hugely disappointing first Clomid cycle, I took the last month to think about TTC as little as possible, live as stress free as possible, take Clomid and use OPKs, and beyond that, try not to think about it... which included a break from our family here, which was SO difficult to do!

Needless to say, I'm 17DPO, my second Clomid cycle, and I tested for the first time today... :bfp:

We are still in shock - cannot believe it! Congratulations and good luck to you all! :hugs:
Congrats!!!!! :happydance::happydance::happydance::happydance:

Thank you!! Fx and lots of prayers for you this month!

So my husband told me he was cleaning out the attic today. To be honest, I really was thinking why…the attic is not bad…nothing compared to our garage before we organized it. So I was just thinking he would throw out some Christmas lights & rearrange the boxes up there. Well he found a huge surprise up there. In case some of you don’t know…my husband & I tried for a few years after we were married. Nothing happened, so we stopped “trying”. Then after 6 more years (10 years total off bcp) we aggressively started back & now here we are almost a year later hopefully towards the end of this journey. Anyways, when we first started, I was sure it would happen fast, so I bought clothes I saw or books or whatever. After the years went by, these things got boxed away. Well a few years ago a friend who knew my situation got pregnant. I brought out the box & asked her if she wanted anything. After she looked through it, I donated everything else. We were living the couple’s life…life without kids…we were happy & content in the idea it just wasn’t meant to be. So I had no issues tossing these things. Well to my shock & surprise, my husband found the box!!! I had thought for 4-5 years now these things were gone. I wasn’t even upset by it…just was like whatever, I can buy new things. But there are a couple of things in there I am happy to know are not gone. Like a baby book I bought that had meaning for me, an empty journal I planned to fill when I was pregnant, a cute Yankee onesie, some Snoopy things (I am a huge Charlie Brown nut), & basically just things I could not have replaced.

This is such a shock to me…I wish so badly I was at home & could look through it. My husband took a picture of it. Maybe this is the sign that this is my month???

Anyways…thought you guys would like that story.

Update: doctor just called with my CD2 lab results. My FSH was 7.51 and estradiol was 39.5 (my doctor wants the FSH to be under 10 and estradiol under 80). AFC was 9 (4 on one side and 5 on the other). That with my previous AMH of 1.38 ng/ml last October puts me in the NORMAL range (for someone who's 36 anyway)! I'm so relieved! My maternal grandmother went into menopause at the age of 40, and my mother at 45 so naturally I'm worried.

Conclusion: those at home tests are pretty much useless! And the test line on the EPT test a day and half later is now darker than the control, while the First Response one remained the same as when I took the picture at the 30 minute mark. I know they said not to read the tests after the specified time frame but since they are still sitting on my desk I couldn't help but peek at them every so often.

Best news today! :happydance: :happydance: :happydance:

AHHHHHHHHHHH this is my 8th month of TTC#1! Currently 8DPO so we will see. I have an HSG scheduled for the 18th. I am 27 as well so very frustrating. AF is always normal 28 day cycle.

I have my HSG Friday. My husband is getting a sa that day too. Then we will start clomid.

Great news! Those are excellent results.
You have me thinking I should have CD3 done next cycle. We've been trying to save money but if we end up with an RE I'm sure he'll want those.

I don't know about Floridasian, but my insurance will cover testing. So you may not have too much to pay out of pocket. I do have to pay for everything else out of pocket though.

Well some tests are covered but go toward your deductible if you have not reached that yet.

Obviously I haven't received the bill for my CD3 tests yet but my previous E2 and AMH tests were both covered and I think the out of pocket on these were less than $20 each (maybe less than $10, I can't remember).

I love how our insurance will pay for everything out there to tell us we can't get pregnant. But when we want help to get pregnant, no way. But I shouldn't even start on that.

My hsg was covered by insurance, but it went towards my deductible. That was last August. At the time I had done nothing to get close to my deductible. So I paid out of pocket. They gave me a drastic discount (like 60%) because I paid cash. So for you ladies doing hsg, be sure to check on that piece. It ended up being cheaper for me to pay out of pocket. I also knew the chances of me doing anything else to go towards my deductible that year were slim.

So I did OPKs three times yesterday and they weren't near this dark at all. The second test is the same sample, but from a few minutes later, after I realized how dark the first one was. I also did a Clearblue opk that came up negative.
That ovary pain keeps coming and going - it is back again now. Hoping this all means something. Just knowing that Clomid could make me ovulate would be some good news.

Edit: Oops forgot to mention this was just now. Apparently my brain is fried.

Haha. Insurance. That's funny. Not any disrespect directed at you, but thanks to Obamacare our insurance now has a $12,500 family deductible, and a $6,250 per person deductible. Yep, $12,500. Per year.
So even though we have insurance, we pay for everything out of pocket. The only good insurance does is apply some contracted discounts sometimes - oh and it pays for one yearly checkup.
I'm just glad that last year Obamacare wasn't in effect and we were still on Cobra, so we only had to come up with $2500 ( plus pay out of pocket for prescriptions and other stuff) to cover my spouse's cancer treatment. Not sure where we would have come up with over $6000.

Edit: Oh and I wish I could get the pay cash discount, but the office said I either had to go as insurance, or out of pocket and not switch back and forth. Since last year I wasn't sure what all would be involved I decided we better go the insurance route. Of course last year my deductible ( separate from his) was $2500.

I don't know if I already said this, but clomid had me ovulating CD 17/18. I think you are close with those opks & cramping.

Congrats Amy!

Minuet your + should be right around the corner!

So I think the cb advanced opk doesn't like me. Last month it gave a peak early(I think based off of my temp) and today on cd14 I got a high. And I don't usually O until cd20. So this is way early for a high. I'm thinking maybe this is due to me having endo and being estrogen dominant, maybe?? I have wondfos left so going to use those to cross check from now on.!

Ok so call me a worrywart, but one reason I was hesitant to try Clomid was because I have PCOS and was worried about it giving me cysts. Since I have PCOS the likelihood of cysts is greater.
This ovary pain... it's been coming and going, and the pain ebbs and wanes in intensity also. Thing is it also spreads pain across the hip and lower back, and I read that ovarian cysts can have these symptoms.
Do you guys think I should be concerned? Or spend the money on an ultrasound to see if it is a cyst or just a follicle? I'm a little worried, but don't want to waste tests unnecessarily. :help:

Minuet I have had them and a cyst burst once but my pain was that my belly was tender to the touch. Pants hurt touching it hurt. But of course everyone is different. I would wait to see if you ovulate or if the pain becomes more intense.

ok thank you. I'll give it another couple days I guess, unless it gets worse.

Do what you feel comfortable with though. If your in serious pain then consult your doctor. But if it's similar to af cramps then it's probably a strong O

That's the thing it doesn't feel like cramps, it just feels like a persistent, annoying ache/throbbing. But then, I haven't had strong AF cramps in a while so maybe I forgot what it feels like lol. I used to hate AF, it was so painful!
It's definitely not serious pain though so I will wait on it. Thanks! :)
