do you think this "new born set up kit" is good?(1st one on the page) plz help im a fish outta water.

Sorry, i don't have any experience with the nappies on there as many of them aren't available here.

if your not sure whats out there i have some articles i've written linked in my signature. Although it's written for the UK most of it still applies for the US too.

My best recommendation to you would be have a good read of the article, and then look to buy a few nappies/diapers that appeal to you. you don't have to buy new either - the best way of finding what works for you (and you won't fully know till LO's here and you've tried them) is buying cheaply pre-loved. diaperswappers.com has a fab FSOT (for sale or trade boards) which will also give you more info on brands that aren't stocked here.

Also have a look at the Review thread https://www.babyandbump.com/natural-parenting/186481-cloth-nappy-wipes-review-thread.html might give u some ideas :) Personally I wouldn't commit to a just one brand as u could not get along with it, it's worth trying a few and seeing what u like/what works for u.
I think Flip nappies are worth a try for newbies as they're easy to use/affordable and one size.

I love my Flips and would recommend them to anyone.

I'm starting off with Fuzzi Bunz perfect fits and Tiny Fits as well as some Bum Genius AIO organics.

thanks :) im gonna try to get a good mixture of diff cloth nappies :)

You can do a nappy trial without having to buy anything. That's probably more sensible than buying lots of different ones as then you won't have to re-sell any you don't like!

thanks for the pm but i live in the US so can i still do the trial?

You might be able to- some of the cloth diapering stores in my city offer rental packages of cloth diapers so you can try out the different brands and styles of diapers and see what works for you before buying. Might be something to investigate

The pkg you're looking at looks good but seems like a whole lot of prefold diapers- if you don't like prefolds, you're going to have a lot of them :) Prefolds are good for newborns since you go through so many diapers at the beginning (seems like every time I fed Emma I'd have to change a poopy diaper) and they are cheap for building up a good sized stash but I always had problems with poop getting on the covers (I probably should have experimented with different folds though). My hubby also never changed the prefolds- "too hard" was his claim- so if you want some help with diaper duty, you might want to have some user-friendly dipes too. HTH :flower:

This company is recommended as a US company by the place that I get my stuff from (they only ship in Canada). I noticed that they do offer trials. Plus, I have had nothing but great experiences with the company I deal with, so if they recommend them it makes me feel like they should be a good company to deal with. :)
