Hey everybody
Well my little lady arrived at 6.54pm weighing 7lb 5oz and with blonde hair and light blue eyes.
Went in for my induction Saturday 25th June after a sweep on the Wednesday... was examined and told i was already about 6cms and i wouldn't need the prostaglandin. Was also having mild contractions. Asked them to break my waters as things didn't seem to be going anywhere. Was taken to delivery and waters broken and found to be 4 cms so the earlier midwife was wrong!!! Anyway contractions were [*CENSORED*] so about 3.40pm (an hour after rom and still 4cms) i was put on syntocin.. contractions quickly followed and very quickly got more intense etc. I said i could feel pressure and she was going to be here soon to which they examined me and told me i was still only 6cms which didn't make sense to me as i said that can't be right, i knew i was further and she'd be there very soon! Well about 10mins later i said i need to push, she said lets have a look (with a look of whatever on her face) lifted the sheet and her head was crowning. She told me to stop pushing so she could get the other midwife in and i completely ignored it! The other one came back in and said oh you're feeling pressure then saw her head and was like my god and she arrived about two minutes later at 6.54pm! I had just gas and air as once again despite wanting an epidural, i didn't have time!! She is beautiful. Had my sister and nan as birth partners and they were fantastic! The midwives couldn't get over it for ages and were shocked i had remained as calm as i did when that baby was coming lol!
