The losers club

The whole house selling/buying process sucks. We will be stuck with our house forever at this rate, the prices are showing no sign of going up. Thankfully, I don't mind living somewhere 'bijou', it's easier to clean

Lettuce, I have no idea how to make stovies. I love it with skirlie too, that looks equally disgusting :haha:

Well Timo met Maria today. It went well I think. She stroked his hair like he was a dog :haha:

Haha Maria, funny girl. Glad it went well!

Yeah, stovies don't look appetising.

We went to fun factory for the morning then sleep, lunch then an afternoon in the garden of water play, painting and everything else! We have been out for tea tonight with the in-laws to discuss our future. All went fantastically well. :happydance: oh and I've also arranged for the house to go on the market on Tuesday :happydance: got a lot of work to do Sunday to get the house "picture perfect" ready for the go button Tuesday!

 at Maria! Guess that means she likes him... ;)

 fabby! Good going!

We finally saw some houses we liked, it's at least set us on the area we want so that's progress...

Oh Maria, she's a funny little thing! :haha:

All this moving malarkey - will someone PLEASE send us some house hunting luck?? Prices have shot up here for rentals and there are no good places up for sale in our budget :( Tried asking if we could out bid on the house we missed out on but as it's in a scheme for low earners once it's gone it's gone :(

Let Doo wander around Sains earlier, was so funny she was so excited to be set free she could barely walk :dohh: then she got the hang of it and charmed the ladies behind the meat counter

Got my aunt coming tomorrow, she's going to pay for us to have some people to come in and de flea the house for us, we just can't get on top of it which has been made worse by the damn hoover blowing up! Can't afford a new one so just have to make do with sweeping the rug :coffee: and also got my car tax due this month..... why does everything come at once and when I am damn poor??

Moan over... Lol

Weather has been rather nice here today, went into town with a cardi on out of habit and I practically melted on the spot lol, couldn't get it off fast enough! Has everyone had nice weather?

How's the unpacking going Saph? Glad you got up there safe :)

9 guests - wtf?!

It's sods law Emmy, everything always goes wrong at once :( Hope you manage to get a new hoover and find somewhere decent to live soon!

We've practically unpacked already - another bonus of small flat living :) We fitted everything in 2 cars. I had to share the 6 hour drive with a suitcase instead of a passenger, and a dismantled cot and highchair in the back of my little clio :haha:

Exciting Fabby!

Hooray for small flats Saph :haha:

Oh dear Emmy, you need some good luck your way :hugs:

Maria was funny in the train last night, she decided she wanted to sit next to an old lady instead of me and sat with her half the journey :haha: and now she's sitting on a table with half her body inside a sleeping bag case
Not sure she exactly likes Timo yet, she kept giving him dirty looks!

That's the thing I am dreading the most, actually moving and moving all our stuff. We are going have to move in with our in-laws to save towards a bigger deposit so we've got to do it twice over all the moving!! We are going to do a big ebay sale or some kind of sale to get rid of stuff we don't need. We just store everything and over the years we've gathered some shit! Lol. Plus what we sell we are going put it towards our savings.

Blondey, just seen your status, what are these two houses your going view?

 Maria!

I'm so used to moving now, it doesn't bother me anymore. Have moved house 12 times in 10 years  I did get rid of lots of junk this time round, although the attic in our Barnsley house is still chock a block full of stuff. Will save it for if we ever get to live in a house again :haha:

Do you not have enough for a deposit fabby or do you want to save more? IL's have said we can move in with them if need be but it's not really practical. They have more than enough room for us, but they live 30 miles away and it would be too difficult for me to get to work and also too far from London for OH's work.

Oooo what houses have you seen Lettuce?

Sending you lots of luck Emmy!! I'm sure something will come up soon. Is staying where you are definitely not an option?

Both of those houses look nice blondey but I'd say the 2nd one just edges it, one cus it is cheaper and like you say, it will still allow you to save and two, it has a conservatory!
Is the 2nd one you have seen before then? Are they asking for the asking price or can they drop?
No, we have no savings like that at all! Maximum equity we have in our property is 15k and that's if it was to sell at the asking price! We want a 15% deposit to put down. We could get away with moving back but we've got the opportunity to do so, so we are going to make the most of it and save for an extra deposit and therefore we can look at more expensive houses too for if we didn't move back.
I can't believe how much house prices are in your area!!!!!! For that price you could get a 5 bed dettached on an estate in this area at 225k!!

Nice houses!

Went to the beach today, Holly is a mentalist. She ran right into the sea and didn't stop, I had to leg it after her while I was wearing jeans and boots - nearly up to my knees! After that, she kept trying to walk into rockpools :dohh:

Haha holly, sounds like just what Rory would do!

Haha holly, that sounds just like what my monkey would do

Crazy Holly!! And a very soggy Saph it sounds like!!

Saw the 1st house today. It's lovely but it would need us to extend as there's no dining area. It's done up lovely. Also there is space to put a downstairs loo which we would want to do. Had a quick look, they bought the house in 2005 for 157k, and he did all the work themselves, but think they have put bit too much of a premium on the nice finish. The garden is lovely! There is a huge area at the bottom that has huge gates which open up to a garage area so you can park your car in there. But it would seem such a shame to put an extension on and have to ruin part of the lovely garden and re do the kitchen!

Seeing the other one tomorrow.

AM's new thing is saying bubye to everything, the swimming pool, the water in the bath going down the plug hole, the end of a tv show when the credits are on, to me when I strap her in the car. She's hilarious!!
