Hi, never been on the pill before so not really sure about this particular question sorry if it's daft

I know that when you go on the pill you take it for 3 weeks then come off for a week to have your period.

I also know that if you want to go on holiday or whatever you take two packs back to back, therefore 6 weeks of pills with no break in between.

Does this mean that once the 6 weeks are done, you'll have a period that's twice as long, or will it still just be the equivalent of one period

You'll just have the one normal period hun!
It can mess up your cycles doing it this way though, you may end up with heavier periods, and not come on for a few days...it all depends how your body reacts to taking the two packs.

I know a girl who took the pill constantly to 'avoid' having a period! She ended up bleeding non stop for about 10 weeks when she finally stopped taking the pill x

When i was on it i took my last pill on a wednesday and id get my period on saturday afternoon, it was that accurate i almost knew the time. even if i took 3 packs in a row id always have the same period and i never got any pains either. Hope this helps!

You only take 2 packs back to back if you want to avoid your period but sometimes it doesn't work or your body goes a bit mental when you have your next break. Personally I would just take it as normal all the time, I don't fancy having a period for months on end! xx
