you wanna hear a good one? on par with the cucumber thing.

my grandfather's wife (NOT my Nan) saw me when I was 5 months pregnant and we were talking about cravings, etc. I said I'd just got over a massive (unbelievable) craving for strawberries.
she says "oh, well you can't eat strawberries if you're breastfeeding, you know. they'll curdle your milk."

?????????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i still laugh hysterically when I think of that. really??? you think that???? :dohh:

I know cucumbers give me wind, but I didn't notice if it gave my two eldest girls it and they could pack it away for a pasttime, Mia being the worst, she went through a phase when all she wanted to eat was cucumber

Yeah.. but chocolate is healthy..... duh.

I need some "me" time to respond to this thread. I think I'm going to let my daughter play unsupervised on my bed with a thick blanket and a plugged in toaster next to a glass of water. Do you guys think that's okay?

Sounds like fun to me! Make sure you put some bread on the bed too with a serrated knife so she can cut her bread and toast it and she needs jelly too, k?

Dear OH
If the xbox wasn't mine I would have thrown it out of the window by now. Don't you dare ignore your son again while you're playing on it (while complaining how rubbish the game he's playing is) or I will sell it while you're at work. It's not like I ever get to play on it anyway.

Sounds like a good fun playtime!

Well I believe that babies need "me" time just like we do. I don't want to smother her with my mothering so I let her have plenty of privacy to do things on her own.. like suck on her foot or chew on toys with very small pieces.

Why do they do this? All they have to do is pause the friking game!

Oh yes babies do need their private time to do such things as playing with electrical sockets and eating non-food stuffs.

I could have typed the same thing eccept about the computer.

Pretty much

Dear OH. If I didn't need the computer for BnB and the ladies on there who keep me sane it would be gone.

Every time I ask him to watch the kids so I can shower, nap ect I come down to find him ignoring them and him playing computer games. This morning he gave our oldest a slice of bread for breakfast and turned on his game. I came down thankfully and gave her a real meal.
