I'm all for making others uncomfortable, but my inlaws would have stared at me, not in judgement or revulsion, but just because they were interested etc... or my MIL because she misses BFing herself etc... umm, no thanks... feeding is just an activity, not a display for the entertainment of others, lol!

My MIL tried to banish me to the back bedroom which I refused to let her do. I imagine that's why she loves me so....

lol... mine kept trying to peek under the nursing cover when I was nursing in public...
Then again, she has a major issue with trying to play with DS when he's having a bottle too, so maybe its not the breast aspect that she was trying peek at.. but she was trying to make faces at him etc... which is a whole other can of worms.

I guess technically if they are on solids they could "try" ice cream.

We don't give LO milk just melted ice cream in bottles. It's a good form of calcium

If he's good he'll sometimes get a Cornetto too.

Yeah he is on solids, but even still it really annoyed me cause she was just putting it to his mouth at first, and as she was doing that she was saying ohh you cant have too much of this, i walked out to tell OH and then i come back and shes got a spoon and feeding it to him

Yeah, MIL aslo keeps telling me that i should give him baby juice, which i didnt want to as i would rather him just have water, but after multiple tries at getting him to drink it, im going to try it and then reduce it.
But even before i had him she was telling me what i should do with him

Yeah.. I have one of those too.. well, I have two, but one is my mother and I can tell her to stop whereas the other isn't my mother and I can only ignore her.

if anyone tries feeding Boo anything before we've decided it's okay, I'll blow my top TBH. Really hoping no one does anything stupid at Thanksgiving. If anything happens... Well, I'll be keeping her with me at Christmas!!

6 months they can have foods with cows milk, a year is when they can have it as a daily drink.

People don't feed the baby things without asking me first though, because I'd throw a bitch fit and no one wants to deal with that.

My mom does occasionally, but she knows what is okay and what isn't, and she has our permission to use her judgement on foods the baby gets.
