My FIL gave a sort of shocked/surprised look when we visited when LO was 4 weeks, and I was carrying her round the kitchen with one hand and sorting her stuff with the other 
He said "I've never seen anyone carry a baby like that before!" (I was carrying in sort of like the colic-hold, but with one hand) and I explained that the antenatal teachers at NCT taught us, it's good for her wind, and it helps me get things done! I was worried he was criticising me, but he then said he wasn't, he was just surprised and not in a bad way, as after all "how did people get things done in the old days or in other countries where they don't have things to entertain babies, or other people to look after them" etc so I was pleasantly surprised there! He was going on about how we don't realise 'til we're parents that babies aren't as fragile as we think, so it was quite nice to see me confidently walking around the kitchen with the baby slung over one arm and carrying on doing what I needed to do with the other, lol.
But don't worry about them Broken, he's your baby

I know it's easier said than done though hun. xxSil- thanks for thinking of us but I'm not entirely sure what I'm going to do with sixteen pink weaning spoons (he already has loads of spoons) and 8 boxes of baby cereal that goes out of date within the next two months (he has adult cereal now, weetabix etc)

Dh, brace yourself I've decided we need to move the furniture round in our lounge, I think I've figured out a way that we could have a bit more space, I plan to try and persuade you that decorating at the same time would be sensible and that we need a new carpet (we absolutely definitely do, it's foul!)

I don't feel sorry nor ashamed for telling OH nan ''Don't you DARE feed that to her!'' when she walked across the room with my LAST mini daim bar after Telling OH she was having it to give a bite to LO and after he turned LO away and said No she doesnt need that she STILL went to take a bit out of her own mouth to give to her! It PISSES ME OFF that she CANNOT listen to instructions my kids do NOT NEED sweets!!

DS I am a little bit pissed off that you used your cough and pretended to have a coughing fit to get out of doing your reading workbook on friday- but HAHA the teacher wrote it in your homework book, stop being a little sneak!
Dear People- stop treating me like I am incapable, I don't find it helpful I feel patronized, weird random man asking me if I wanted a hand to get LO into the house (we have 2 steps at the gate and 3 at the house door) err.... do you think I just wait for some random passer by to help me every time I go in and out?!
I am used to having to open doors with one hand or my back and getting the buggy through.
And to the people that aren't even going to offer a hand, don't leave stupid crap in the way so that I can't reach to pull the door open and get the buggy out without looking like a twat tripping over a sack of bird seed!

LO- will you PLEASE hurry up and learn how to walk because the very thought of having the health visitor up my arse and pushing me to get the occupational therapists back just raises my blood pressure! You have 2 months to get on your feet now PLEASE get a MOVE ON!!

My apologies for last night. I had a weak moment, I watched a stupid film that dredged up load of feelings and memories I don't like to think about.
I then for some reason decided to pour my heart out on here, while if did help typing it all I realised I wasn't comfortable having details about what happened to me as a child on a public forum that I've never told anyone before not even dh, he knows the very basics.

Do NOT get up and have a go at me because YOU left your work trousers on the bedroom floor last week so they haven't been washed.

Mom, I truly appreciate your concern but don't ask me about things myself or OH have said in the morning (they live downstairs from us) Saying that was rude and blah blah blah... I don't ask you about you and dad's fights...We weren't even fighting, OH was in the shower and heard LO crying and said "Cerrie the baby" he is not going to get out dripping wet and tend to him...I hate when people get in my business...
