I know I should complain, ive had 10months off! but it's still too little. It's terrible in the US.
I'd love to be a SAHM but I have a good career and will need it in the future.

I wouldn't say that it's terrible in the US. I LOVE my country - wouldn't want to be anywhere else. I'm going back to work when my lo is 8 months although I don't have to go back until she's a year old. I'm fortunate to have a job where I can do that.

I didn't mean the US was awful as a country, but the poor provision of maternity leave and pay for a lot of mums is! I'm glad you are fortunate enough to stay off.

Can't go back to the UK as it would cause legal problems unless I try and get sole custody which I don't want to do so gonna stay here. Just hope I can find a flat quickly.
