Eek I have noticed my frizzy hair is becoming thinner as I am getting older. I do use straighners most days to combat the frizz, plus I am in need of a good cut. Do any if you lovely ladies have any tips on making your locks look thick and lush.

A cut is always a good way, have an inch or so off. Head and shoulders do a thickening shampoo which I really recommend, my hair was looking limp and after using for a month on and off (i use many shampoos!) it really thickened up. Do you use heat protection when straightening? I find if you really look after your hair it'll help with thickness. Brushing from the bottom upwards so you don't break the ends etc

It sounds crazy but I use a horse shampoo :haha: Called mane n tail, lots of people swear by it for thickening hair and making it grow faster.

Just looking at this on Amazon, fab reviews, thanks Hun, going to order the original shampoo and conditioner..

Wow I'd never heard of using horse shampoo before! Looks like some love it and some hate it. I think I'll stick to my aussie hair stuff but each to their own, I hope it helps op!

Also try an not straighten your hair as much as it can snap the ends. My hair is really fine but not frizzy (super static mind you!) and I find using less product does wonders for my hair! Sometimes adding. But of colour can add a bit depth and make it look thicker apparently but I used to colour my hair and never noticed a difference!

I use Aussie shampoo and conditioner but I was getting horrible product buildup (genuine large clumps, ick!) and I changed to herbal essences which is actually ok!

^ I have done similar and swap between the two now and again. I think its important to change round shampoos and also use silcone free conditioners for a while to let moisture in, because those with silcone just build up and whilst they feel nice, dont let actual moisture in.

Iv just ordered some of the herbal gro mane and tail in the hope it makes my hair grow slightly quicker... Worth a shot I guess xx

My hair grows quickly anyway but since I started using horse shampoo (:haha:) it is growing sooo fast! It definitely feels thicker, all my hair bands keep snapping :haha:. I got it because people say it makes your air nice and soft and it does for me, my hair is super soft and shiny :)

i used to use mane and tail but it is rather harsh on the hair, my colour used to strip out easy, I quit buying it

i use dog shampoo :haha:

have done for quite a while!
it thickens my hair nicely & it smells luuush. x

Haha I have never heard of people using horse and dog shampoo before! Off to look it up on amazon

Keeping an eye on this thread. My hair feels so thin. I've been using loreal hair thickening fribology and so far it keeps my hair nice and smooth but flat. I need some oomph in my hair.

I just spray some hair spray on my roots at it gives it a boost and makes it look thicker.

whatever you do don't spend your money on nioxin :haha: i spent £65 on it and it doesn't work!
