I waxed it all off when I was 10 weeks before going on vacation. It was awful...very painful. It was the first time I've ever been waxed, but I have to think it was worse because of the pregnancy. All the extra blood flow down there makes it hurt more. I bought some electric clippers and have been shaving it with them. The regrowth doesn't itch at all like it does with a razor.

I was wondering about delivery too. By that point I'll be too large to do it myself. If I really care, I'll have my husband do it for me.

What about using Veet?? I'm contemplating using it as its like a jungle lol.. Anyone ever veeted the whole area?? Xx

Yes and I found out I'm severely sensitive to it in that area - 2nd degree burns on my hoohaa the night before my driving test was NOT cool!

Personally I prefer a decent razor with the interchangeable heads. I HATE disposable ones down there! I also change it after 1 or 2 uses.

For labor, I'll probably just have it how I normally do: clean up the edges (if I can still manage that) and trim the rest short.

I'm a first timer, so I don't know a lot about it, but I heard that they used to shave you clean down there before delivery because they were worried about germs. I guess now they douse you with sanitizer or something. Anyone know?

We would use a sterile solution to wash the area down before examining you vaginally to reduce the risk of introducing anything into the vagina - Whether you shave or not! Though to be fair, I'd recommend keeping it short and not letting it go wild... having pubic hair caught and tugged when being sutured is not pleasant and being shaved if needing a section by someone else isn't really dignified or a precise procedure so you'd end up messy and blotchy

You can get a veet thats just for that area. I have it and its ok. Not fantasic at removal but its specially for the bikini area x
