tommee tippee electric steam steriliser faults

Ooo, I might get mine replaced, the light went out a few weeks ago.
To those who sent it back, was it an address in Northumberland? If so the Head Office is only five minutes away so hopefully they'll let me do a swap!
The number would be handy if anyone has it? x
 
Well I must say, 10 out of 10 for Tommee Tippee. Phoned this at 1pm and I'm now setting up my brand new steriliser. Wonderful customer service :)
 
I've had two sterilisers now, going to give this one, one last try and if it fails again, I will have to contact Tommee Tippiee again for advice - I bought an Avent one with the refund I got for the first faulty steriliser and I could only fit about 4 of the Closer to Nature bottles in it. What am I supposed to do if each unit I get goes faulty, my baby is used to these bottles now!
 
The light on mine went too, but hubby got it working again. If it goes a second time I will phone TT for a replacement.

to anyone that sent theirs back, did they send the replacement in a box? I only ask because when i sent bottles back they didnt replace them with bottles in a box, and i keep the boxes for when i sell stuff on. X

Yes, they sent me a new steraliser, new bottles,dummy and a brush! I only wanted the steraliser lol. My wire went faulty, the bulb had been gone for some time. I werent going to send it back but it was frightening with the wire, and they are guaranteed...So yep, they are boxed :) mine was triple boxed. :flower:

Rang them this morning and they told me to send it back but can't guarantee a refund or replacement cos of no receipt. Gave me a free post no though. X
 
I've had 2 TT electric sterilisers and my baby girl is only 3weeks & 4days old!

I bought the first one in Asda's back in april when it was on offer in the baby even. Didnt use it (obv) until she was born, within the first 10 days the light went. Took it back to Asda, who were more than happy to replace, (this was beginning of Oct) and the light went after just 2 days!
Phoned TT who were very nice, but did say that it was a whole batch of faulty ones that had gone out, but they have fixed the problems and stores have new batches..... they are sending me a new one FOC.

I am however slightly concerned as the new ones have a different brush in them.... which is the same brush i got in the second one from Asdas!

Heres hoping they have actually fixed the problem..... which was something to do with limescale over the sensor??!! (personally, i think thats a crap excuse! i live on the coast in a real hard water area, but after 2 days there wasnt any limescale and i wash it out before each use!)

We bought ours about 3 month ago(from tescos), but obv haven't used it yet, do you think it'll be one of the faulty ones? I've just had a look for the reciept & can't seem to find it either :|
 
how long did it take them to call you back? i called them yesterday and no response yet.............
 
Mine broke the light went and the TT cust serv said it because i didnt de scale it every month so i took it back and got a refund and descaled it and within a month and a half the same fault has happened again!!!!!!

so im taking it back and just getting another make. I have dr browns bottles now but they only do microwavable steralisers which im not a fan of so my friend said they dr browns fit in the avent electric steraliser so am guna get this one!

Grrrr TT is annoying all I had was problems with their bottles with leaking and bits falling off!
 
I'm so pleased to find this thread. Mine did this within a couple of weeks. I'm still using it though, hope its ok. Might give them a couple of cycles until I get a new one!

So glad to see this post-had exactly the same problem. Light went after 12 days of use. Took back to Boots and got new one. Also e-mailed TT who basically couldnt have cared less and told me they dont have faults on their sterilisers (shall i send them a link to this thread?!).
Second steriliser used once and the lid warped and doesnt fit on leaving a gap between lid and base - not ideal! So that one is going back too and we are moving over to Avent. really annoying as can only fit 4 bottles in at a time, but at least i might have a steriliser that actually does the job it is meant to do!
 
Hi, ive had mine a few weeks too and the light started to go a few days ago and now has gone completely, is it actually safe to use whilst the light is not on? I've watched it and it seems to do the right amount of time for a full cycle.
