After sine ideas for ds2 who will be 1 in November. He loves things that open and close like tins with hinges, a blanket box he had in his room etc. Going to be getting him frog in a box but wondered if anyone had any more suggestions. He also loves balls and things with wheels (his prized possession is his -well his brothers old- scuttlebug) but obviously being boy number 2 we do have a fair bit already.

My son is obsessed with my wallet… open, close, take everything out etc. We got him a velcro one which he likes but he still loves mine.

How about the tomy hide and squeak eggs

Yes they are popular, we already have them!

A wooden post box?
Maybe a trunkee (open and close it as well as ride on it)
Walking hoover thing which pops balls out

How about something along these lines?

ah yes we do have a pop up toy in the loft actually. He was obsessed with one at a local toddler group recently, had a cat coming out a dustbin on the top, a mouse i think in the side can't remember the others :dohh:

Melissa and Doug latches board/hide and seek board/doorbell house. Quite expensive on amazon at the moment, but have been cheaper.

EDIT Forget that - I read ds aged 2 not ds2!

Don't underestimate a 1 year old! My LO got this when he turned 1 and it was the first thing he played with. He's known the whole alphabet for months now.

All they really have to do is push buttons and it does things, but once they start to understand what it tells them then they can learn to play the games.

Thank you may look into one more suited for older children get monies worth!!

Lucas has a ride on Thomas and there is a flap on it that has a little storage area. He spends alot of time putting things in there then going and getting them again constantly opening and closing it (much more time than he spends riding on it)
It's from toys r us but I can't get it to link
