I cant wait for this, OMG its TONIGHT YAY. I shall download first thing in the morning!
OH has read all the books but they changed a lot of things so you never know whats going to happen. I cant wait for the convention in August so we can grill the guests about more spoilers like we did last year lol - enjoy all.

got a live stream on the go now .. just trying to figure out what 9 0clock to america is to me ... hahaha, cos surely it depends WHERE in america ?! lol x
wow.... erm, major confusing! i kinda expected it to be at least simarlar to the book it just seems like too many storylines crammed into an hour, hopefully theyll all just come together but, from that episode alone im a little disappointed x
lol.. there was never any way it could match the book... as they have all ready changed so much i think if you don't try and compare it, then its awesome it would be dull if it all happened exactly as you knew it would x
well i'm at that point now so not long to go, i think we had to build up to it tho ? kinda hard for a new viewer to get a feel for eric if they just go in with him being all amnesia Eric,
I've maintained for awhile that comparing the books and the series will just be frustrating. I'm taking the series as a separate entity altogether, and good thing, because it was pretty wild plot-wise. Looking forward to more, though!
I'm almost scared to watch season 4 as I have real trouble separating the series and the books and a lot of what happens in book 4 is what I'd consider to be pretty much untouchable! I'm a huge Eric fan and, somewhat bizarrely considering how skewed the scripted and directed interpretation of him is (somehow it seems a little counter-intuitive sometimes to how Alex Skarsgard wants to play him iykwim as he does things with the script that the words don't seem to want to do!), have been since the first time he appeared in season 1! I've never taken to Bill at all, despite having watched True Blood season 1 before reading the books! As much as anything else what they've done with Eric's back story irritates me to the extreme! It wouldn't have been so bad if it was a sensitive, historically accurate portrayal of Vikings but they couldn't even get that right really! It's just that the arrogant, petulant youth that you see in the flash backs at the start of season 3 seems to say that even as a human he was a bit of a dick and takes away the idea that he could be a good guy deep down if you take away the more than 1000 years of harsh vampire living (it has to be considerably over the 1000 year mark as Scandinavia was completely converted to Christianity, apart from underground sects, by 1000 AD and Eric clearly states, admittedly in the books, that he "has never been Christian" which implies that he was turned before the conversion from the native religion!)! In fact, it was this, combined with Sookie's ridiculous acquisition of X-Men style superpowers when she threw the werewolves across the room, that caused me to stop watching season 3 as it was annoying me too much (my husband made me as he was tired of my getting a little stressed by it! He gave up on True Blood after season 1!). But, yeah, if they mess up Eric this season, and I'm sure it won't be Alex Skarsgard's fault it they do as he can't help the script and that's usually where they screw up, then I'm not even going to try with the next season! It's last chance saloon to redeem it for me!
Be patient girls. The plot will develop. But it takes more than one episode to set the scene for the new season. I just watched ep. 2 and it is all coming together already. I am loving the new season so far. Totally hooked.
