I give in. I cant keep up with this rubbish.
Ok i have a question for breast feeding mummies. If we had a world where formula was allowed to be advertised for any age group and your child was asked to model in these adverts would you let them?
Don't know if this would be allowed in the UK.... I just went out to get my post and there's a sample from Nesquik for "my first nesquik" which included a free little book. No where does it mention what age is it aimed at, but on the back there's a drawing of a toddler in a highchair drinking chocolate milk from a bottle. It claims mon premier nesquik helps your child to grow....
Hmmm.
It isnt allowed in the UK, we dont get samples of milk as that is promotion/advertising and against the law.
Sounds like that is giving confusing messages though.
It certainly isn't! I just don't know how you can be bothered! I was always surprised the number of women who said to me about breastfeeding "I just couldn't be bothered with all that" To me FFing seems like such a palaver and I'm far too lazy for all that. Plus, I recall one early morning where Mr Foo said he would do a feed and let me lie in. The pair of them were traumatised by the time he tried - one handed - to warm a bottle of EBM, it was easier for me to take her into bed with me and feed her there. How you all manage it, I have no idea!!Why aren't there blinkies ''6 month formula feeding milestone'' I must spend half my day stood at the sink washing and steaming and making up bottles. It ain't the easy way out

Wow 117 pages !!
Well I give up now as no one (well only one or 2 people) actually read what I was asking and answered properly. Everyone else is waaay defensive and reactive and seems determined to split everyone. I wish people on here (surely it doesnt happen in real life!) wouldnt make such a split like its gang warfare, there is no need to define who you are by how you feed your baby and fight the world about it . There is lots of 'us and them' language (and I have to say, from mums who FF especially). I wish ladies who FF (and I was one of them initially! and could have easily been full stop!) wouldnt blame ladies who BF for what are essentially wider problems not caused by individual mums! why don't we all ring up the SMA helpline and direct any anger at them instead.
Sigh.
I still like frogs, but I didnt get the perfume convo as I don't wear it ...
