they have a right to advertise formula - i think its awful that people get completly slated for using formula!! we feed our babys! thats all that matters!!!!!!!

Granted, feeding is better than starving, but is that "all that matters?" It's like saying "I put my child in holy clothes, but at least she's wearing clothes. That's all that matters right?"

Thats harsh!

^WSS!

I only needed to look at the poster to know this was going to be a harsh comment. And it is. I would say that yes, it is all that matters. I would rather my child was fed formula than starved

Agreed!
The fact the baby is being fed IS all that matters. Food is food.

'Fraid I thought the same.

Can I ask the Ffeeders

Do you think that once you have decided to ff and have started should there be offers on formula like BOGOF and things like that

Some women struggle to breastfeed or just don't want to. A happy mum is good for the baby if tgat means ff them so be.it
Xx

Yes I agree that the mothers mental health does impact upon the baby's welfare, but saying that as long as they get fed that's all that matters, is misleading. The quality of nutrition also matters.

That's like saying I would rather starve than not eat only organic products. It's a ridiculous comment to make...

Only made it to page 9 with out getting infuriated by the rude comments about FF.

OP perhaps you should have posted this in BF Support Threads because you are obviously annoyed that not everyone agrees with you.

 hmmm im not so sure about that. Then again it wouldnt affect an intelligent womans choice on how to feed her child in the first place, so perhaps so.

I cant really speak much because my lo is on prescription formula now.

Yup!! It does cost a small fortune sometimes. I dread to think what it's going to be like when Jake's having bigger feeds!

From some of your recent threads about feeding im quite suprised you have such a rude attitude toward this discussion

If you dont have anything constructive to add then please move onto another thread where you can be less antagonstic.

I think there could be some sort of promotion on formula just like there is on baby food, formula bottles etc. It would allow formula to be abit cheaper maybe because it is quite dear.

Oh so my preemie was put on Pre-Aptimal at one point. Try arguing that with a neonatal nurse.
