im in the 2ww, had sex on 16th and 17th feb and last period was 2nd feb, usually have regular periods. boobs are getting veiny, had cramps for 5 days straight, kept thinking AF was on the way, tired, and feeling sicky, gagging at the toilet (sorry).

Ps - Does anyone like the name Summer for a baby girl? I love it, DH doesn't mind, but my sister almost vomited haha. Look at me, naming my un-conceived children... sigh. It soothes me to talk about names though, even pre-emptively, I don't know why. Cohen is our fave for a boy right now. Weeeeeeee I hope our BFPs come soon, ladies!

I love the name Summer for a girl. Don't listen to how anyone else feels about your names...there's always going to be someone that's not going to like it in the family...but when the baby is here and named, they'll get used to it pretty quickly.

I can't really help...but I am feeling similar, so fingers crossed for both of us! I think the only symptom I don't have that you listed is the veiny bbs, but they have been sore on and off.

I would wait a couple more days and then test.

But, AFM - Got my smiley at 10am today & BD'd a few hrs after. Yay!!! (whew! ) Hopefully O real soon. +OPK & ov usually on same day - I get NO notice w/those things so I have to get right on it. (no pun intended ).

Well we found out that my DH has a LSC which the doctor said he has confidence that its still possible to have it naturally. If no BPF by May then we begin the IUI process. I'm hoping this HSG helps his little guys swim to my egg!!

I meant to comment on that - saw in your signature. I just had it in Nov, but this is only my 3rd cycle after that (long cycles). Still have FX for that "2-4? month thing" after HSG...

afm - maybe I am ov today as my temp slightly lower than yesterday and it was yesterday I had +opk. This would be good news as we bd yesterday and will again tonight! I am not that hopeful though but feel there is a chance.

Hi Gemmy! I'm doing alright. I've been having cramps on and off for a couple of days now. I'd feel more hopeful if AF wasn't due in a couple of days (if I'm 10DPO like I think I am). And I'm still trying to get over this cold. Blargh.

Sorry Im still new to all this and trying to understand the correct terminology : But to answer your question its usually a 28 day cycle.. My menstrual cycle is normal for the most part so my DH and I just need to time things right when we do the BD

Oh no worries. It takes a while to get it all down.

It nice that your cycle is normal. I hope you get your timing down right and get the BFP.

I'm hoping that if AF (my period) shows her face, that my cycle will be about 28 days this month. I used to be at 26 days (ovulating on day 14), but my ovulation day has moved to be around day 16 (because I've been taking cinnamon for better cervical mucus/increased fertility), so my cycle is longer now...but only by two days, so that's not too bad.

Thanks Gemmy! I know! I can't believe I'm 13 weeks already! It went fast, but it also went slow. I want the baby to be here already, lol. Once we have the scan, we're sharing the pregnancy with EVERYONE. Here's a question for you ladies - I'm not close with my Dad's side of the family AT ALL. Do I give them a call before I post my scan picture on facebook? I typically only found out about any of my cousins' pregnancies from my Grandma, but I didn't want to tell anyone until we were 13 weeks. Now I'm bursting to tell the world. Maybe I should give my aunts that would even care a quick call?

I'm in a similar position. I'm not close with my dad's side of the family and I don't know how I would tell them outside of facebook, other than telling my dad and step-mom and letting them spread the info. But in your case, I would totally call the aunts that would care, especially if they don't have a facebook account, and then they can spread the good news.

Everything was PERFECT at my ultrasound today! The baby was dancing up a storm and I got a whole bunch of pictures. I'm too tired to scan them and put them up right now, but I promise I will over the next few days.

Apparently my sister already told most of my aunts (even though I asked her not to!). Oh well. A few less calls for me to make.

AFM:we didn't bd yesterday we so should have but we were both so exhausted and i didn't want one of those scenarios where we were just doing the deed so to speak waiting for it to be over. So we still have a chance. I ovulated yesterday (tuesday) and we did it monday night and last fri and saturday nights so there will be a chance. Just going to let fate intervene now. 1dpo today and either we are or we aren't but I will now wait until I am due around 11th March to find out. If not christmas baby and 6 more smiley opks waiting

AFM (As for me): Woke up with cramps this morning. I totally thought AF was coming, but my temp was still up (and has been up all day) and I haven't had any of my normal AF symptoms. Though I have had a backache and sore bbs on and off today. So...I'm not sure what's going on exactly. Half of me wants to be hopeful that I'll get a BFP this cycle, the other is waiting to see if my temp is going to drop tomorrow or the next day. I feel like AF is going to be showing up soon, even though I don't want her to.

I probably should have tested today like I planned so I could put myself out of my misery, but I'm going to wait until I'm for sure late. I don't want to waste a test if I don't have to. The wait is killing me though.

May i ask....What are you going to take that's soy? I studied nutrition and I know that it is controversial for hormones... Just want you to be careful.. Have you thought about seeing a Naturapathic Doctor... One that specializes in fertility and does acupuncture?

It is soy isoflavones....I am glad you said something. What have you heard??
I heard it is supposed to boost estrogen to help you ovulate. This is my 1st cycle off of Clomid and I didn't ovulate.... My doc gets back from maternity leave in April, so I was going to try the soy in the meantime.

I do get acupuncture, I go for a session every 1-2 weeks. I am going to tell her about not ovulating, see what she says. She is really awesome, and has given me some great whole food supplements to take. I will see what she says.

Wendy - that's great that you go for acupuncture...I think it really helps. As for the soy isoflavones - were you going to take as food or as a supplement? I suppose it doesn't hurt for a short time - but you want to be careful as too many isoflavones can take you from a low estrogen to high estrogen (estrogen dominance) and affect your cycles. I also read that it can increase the follicular stage (more days til you ovulate). If you are just eating soy foods I would still keep to a minimum...
I would actually say check out more info on Maca (whole food) and Vitex (herb).... this is a great website to learn more about everything!!

Maca is so great in normalizing hormones (and it's a whole food so you can have it no problem)....It doesn't taste great - BUT I put in my smoothies (along with everything else).

AFM - I'm Cycle day 7 today so should be ov in about 5 days or so.... Yesterday I had ultrasounds done on abdomen/pelvic/trans-vaginal/breast and thyroid - I was there for 90 min!! (just routine -my doctor is really thorough when I do physicals she sends me for every test under the sun) I was covered all over in that gel.... oh how pretty . Just trying to listen to as many positive audio/video things as I can and doing 20 min. yoga/ uterine massage in the mornings... Feeling pretty good!

Ugh - 90 mins??? I just got it for 20 mins this mornign & when he was pushing on my left ovary I was yelling. Apparently, he could even see that I just ov'd b/c we could see where the fallop tube burst (pretty cool - like a white blob where it blew up). So, that was cool to see & have it confirmed (I'll still do bloods on Mon) but darn that hurt! I was afraid he was going to mess up my egg or scare it back up there or something, but he said they ultras during ov all the time. I better send it some reiki just in case it got scared...

So 90 mins - I hope you were able to go into a meditative state & visit Fiji or something! (Now THAT would be another cool goal to have - meditative traveling. The airfare would be sooo cheap!) Glad they were so thorough w/you, tho - wow! Jiffy Lube has nothing on you Did it go ok?

Mine went well- 16 or so follies & 7-8 eggs each side (I am guessing it is 1 egg to each follie? i really hated Biology so...). No cysts or other issues. Now I have like 20 tests to do, so won't know anything else for a while...

Good luck Ella, I know it's sooo hard especially at the end of the 2ww - your hope tends to start fading, you get nervous and paranoid when you go to the loo and you want to test but you don't want to test!! I really really hope this is it for you!!!! Can't wait for your update!!

Yes I have asked dh for a baby dance tonight! He has said yes! He finishes work at 9pm so it will be a couple of hours yet. Thanks for the advice, I like how you put it - the extra support troops
