Welcome to the 'Two Week Wait'

Hi ladies - just wanted to pop in and say hello to everyone... At home today sick - finally got some antibiotics last night but coughing keeping me up every night now for 7 days -

Just going to take a nap now - Sorry can't write more but wanted you to know I'm thinking about you all and hoping this is the month for massive BFP's for everyone!:dust::dust::dust::dust::dust::dust::dust::dust::dust::dust::dust::dust::dust::dust::dust::dust:

Sorry if this is TMI but Im not sure what to think about this. I'm 6 DPO today and I have some thick, white, sticky cervical mucus. It's kind of strange because usually am creamy/lotiony unless it is around O time then it is EWCM. Just had my annual OB/GYN exam today so if I had an infection of some sort I think she would have picked up on it. Does anybody know if this happens around implantation?

Lilyrose... While I can't answer that for you, I'm wondering the same thing myself. I'm 13 dpo today and have had ewcm just like around o time the past 3 days. Today I'm ridiculously tired to the point I was struggling to keep my eyes open driving home from work! I'm dying to POAS early, but don't want to jinx myself!
:dust:

Hey Maria, feel better! I hope that nasty cough goes away soon! :hugs:

Well, there's another dip today and lots of EWCM to go along with my ov pains, so fingers crossed I'll make it over the hurdle today and actually ov. You make a good point, Sarah, about the mc messing up cycles....who knows what's going on in my body at the moment. Hopefully it's going to get it's act together soon. :)

Good luck to you wonderful ladies in the TWW and those that AF is leaving/has left!! :) :dust:

I definitely think your body is trying to ovulate. Best thing you can do is try and relax and BD. Enjoy yourselves:p !

Well, I've been trying to relax, but I keep finding myself getting worked up about if this pain or that pain is still an ov pain or if it's gas....lol. But then I take a deep breath and try to do something to take my mind off things. Hopefully it's worked. We've been BDing for....8 days straight. Ov needs to happen soon or my bits will fall off. lol. But if this ends up being an anovulatory cycle, I suppose that just means DH and I will just move on to April and see what happens then.

Oh, I hope its today! Btw, did you ever try those wondfo OPKs (was stalking your journal). They are on Amazon for under $14 (incl shipping) for like 50 of them? I am not sure what country you are in though (just caught a post that you are across the pond).

Yeah, you may have delayed ov due to recent mc (sorry to hear about that ) &/or if you are starting to advance in age?

Seems like only when I started TTC last year, my body decided to have 5-week cycles :growlmad: & ov on CD19. It was also after a mc, but if mine was due to mc, it would have leveled out for sure by now - its about a year since the mc. So, for me, I thinks its the "advanced age" part...

FX & GL & get to that :sex:! :dust:

Yeah, I am across the pond, so Wondfo doesn't deliver over here. I've been looking into a couple of other no-name brands of opks, but put off getting them until next cycle. I'm not of advanced age just yet, though I'll be 28 soon and it seems like all my peers have started their families and I'm the only one who hasn't...even though I know that isn't true...

But yeah, my cycles used to be like clockwork, now I've been left guessing the last couple of months. But maybe this means that things are changing and my body is getting itself ready for a BFP....at least I hope that's what it means.

hi ladies just popping in quick as breaking from packing. been catching up and send lots of baby dust. just thought it was strange i am only cd7 - af left on cd4/5. noticed in the shower when washing i had loads and loads of thick stretching between fingers cm - loads! way more than last ov which was cd19 last month. is this normal?? i can't possibly be ovulating. plus my af had some gloopy cm this month which is unusual for me. is my body just clearing out? starting opks on cd11 i think. only have six digi dont want to waste x

Hmm...I've heard of other women ovulating super early in their cycle before, so it's possible this is what's happening to you. Maybe you should BD now to be safe and save your opks for later, just in case? Good luck, Gemmy!! :)

Well hi there- im new- i have read these posts forever and never joined. But finally i decided not to do this alone. Women are amazing creatures! The way we rally around each
other and we dont even know each other!
Anyhow here is my introduction-

Im 34, and had three children young (they are 12, 10, 7)- I had no trouble falling pg, however i did loose two between 2 and 3.
Now i am remarried, and dh has no children of his own, so im back to babies, but three years into TTC we come up empty.

So about three months ago i took my fertiltiy by the horns and have taken the folowing steps:
(ALready in thyroxine)
Gp put me on Diaformin to help if insulin resistance is a prob (im about 15kg o.w)
Alos on cardiprin (mini asprin) to help with vasularisation of the womb.
And on first round of clomid (50mg, day 21 pgn says i o'd for sure!)
Thats al for the heavy duty meds- the rest are natural supplements to improve fertiltiy

-Vit E for egg/follicle health
-EPO and Robitussen and water for good CM
-Royal jelly (over all fertiltiy)
-fish oil (follicles and hormone regularity)
- folate (for baby, apparently more folate increases chances of multiples, as well as fsh oil)
-Green tea (stats say >1 cup /day increases chance pg by 50%)
-ct donw on caffine (stats say >1 cup/day decreases chance pg by 50%)
-cut down on foods that make cm acidic- alcohol, meat, sugar.

So thats where i am, i hope to find a cycle buddy- im on CD 24, wich is about 10-11 dpo for me.

Good luck ladies!

Ella, Gemmy & anyone else in the UK/across the pond - Wow, why did I just assume that every website shipped everywhere? I tried a few of our cheapie sites & they wanted like $30 (prob only 17 pounds or so, but...), but jeez - I had no idea it was so expensive for you guys? Did you know about this one? (I love to google, even tho you prob know about it already):

https://zoombaby.co.uk/order.html

It was actually recommended by some BNB members... Only 25 pounds for 40 OPKs + 8 HPTs? 2.99 lbs for shipping & if you get the 40-pack (+8HPT), you get some free fertility test??? if you "ACT NOW!!!!" :haha:

But, gosh, that's like us paying $50 for 40 OPKs (+8HPT) vs our current $12 (incl shipping) for 50 OPKs? WTH? I feel for you guys - I had no idea...

Good luck

Welcome CurleyMumma! it sounds like you have really taken charge of your fertility - good for you!!! If you want to add something, gf juice is supposed to be great for CM?

Don't worry - we all try to help each other out here. I've been TTC#1 for over a year now & I just found out yesterday that "Royal Jelly" is NOT a lubricant! (it sounds like the "primo" lube, doesn't it?)

And I only recently added Evening Primrose Oil bc I thought it was some kind of massage oil you rubbed on yourself at night & figured - yeah, I can skip that one; that's a little weird :rofl:

good luck - sounds like you are off to a really good start & in good hands

Hey there Lilliz- thanks for your reply.
I did do GF juice for a week, but it was just soooo grose i couldnt keep doing it! I do take my vitamins with large glass of fresh squeezed OJ and a lg glass water. Im afraid GF made me wrench...not good!!

hahaha,, i love the royal jelly and EPO - you never know it may work that way??? Its awlays fun to try new things!

I have been having vivd dreams since 7DPO- thats no sure sighn, but i hope its a good sign! Its good that i o'd after so long!

I have no other symptoms, no sore bbs, no nasuea, no increased urinations, do have leg cramps, but i dont know if thats anything worth noting. I do notice pulls and little pains in the womb, but i think im so much more aware of that area at the moment- i would notice anything i think!

When do you test?

Dashka - FEEL BETTER SOON!!!! :flow::flow::flow: I really, really hope your anti-b's work ASAP. I know I avoid them like the plague but when you are sick this long, it's "about that time". That is what they are here for... :flower: :flower: :flower:

Gemma & Lilly: I'm not the best w/CM, but I remember looking it up & finding this very helpful article (went into detail more than others) - see especially the "Tips" part as it addresses odd/outside the norm CM situations: https://infertility.about.com/od/tryingtoconceive101/a/cervicalmucus.htm

Hope it helps - GL & FX!

Beaut - I did Clomid for 5 mos but the only thing it did symptoms-wise for me was dry up my CM. If it does this to you, then I believe it is something to be aware of/concerned about (but fixable). As far as peeing all the time, maybe somebody else can help - FX!

I just got over AF (CD7), so I'm far off from ov even (I am a CD19 ov'r). But, I usually try to hold off testing until maybe 12DPO? Everybody is different, but I think thats probably a good day to hold off to if you want to save some cash.

Yeah, these signs can really mess w/you. I don't even pay attn to them anymore bc progesterone ends up producing the exact same signs for me & I've gotten excited over nothing waaayyyy too many times, now. But some ladies really enjoy sign-spotting in the 2WW so whatever works, I say!

GL!

I know! I keep hearing about these internet cheapies....and then they aren't so cheap. Thanks for the link though. I'll have to check it out. :)

Welcome to the TWW, Curleymumma! I hope your wait flies by and ends in a BFP! :)

Oh, Symptom Spotting. I love a little SS during the TWW. Usually never means anything that I want it to, but it's nice living the dream for a couple of weeks. ;) The leg cramps sound promising, I've heard other ladies around BnB complain about leg cramps/pain before a BFP. Keep us updated! :)

I think I might have ovulated!!!!!! It's sad how excited I am about this...lol. Now, to see what tomorrow's temp looks like. C'mon temp, stay up.

Hiya Girls:flower: How are you all keeping, I have been stalking alittle. Is anyone nearing the end of the TTW? I can feel a load of BFP's coming soon.

AFM. Im in my 9th week now. feeling quite sick i can't seem to keep much down, mega tired, no energy at all still and have a high temperature, I really feel pooh. Had the results of my tests back and they have told me i have Strept B infection so starting on antibiotics this afternoon for that. Also to top it all off I was feeling dizzy on Saturday, my foot caught on the seat belt in my car and i feel out the car door onto the street i've messed my knee up, thankfully i didn't fall on my tummy, sorry to be all doom and gloom

I was wondering how you were getting on Laura! That's no good about feeling sick and the infection! And falling out of the car! Ouch! I'm glad that you didn't land on your tummy though. (Not that it would have been a big deal as the baby doesn't rise above the pelvis until 12 weeks, so it would have been protected, but still!!). Hope you feel better soon! When is your first scan?

Yes strept B can be very serious at this early stage, i'm quite worried as the test was taken 6 days ago and i've been left untreated. im worried

Laura - just wanted to send you some :flower: & some :hugs: & hoping you get well REALLY soon! So sorry you are feeling  & hurt yourself. It sounds like you are having a tough-run these last few days. Its stressful enough when you get strep B normally, so I am sure its gotta be very stressful when preg.!

Hang in there, Irish mama, I am sure it will get better soon :flower: I'll be sending you some reiki tonight, too ;) :hugs:

:flower: Im so sorry to moan, i know how much you all wish to be pregnant and here i am pregnant and moaning about being ill, i'm so sorry, i've just had a really awful day today, Ive cried so much my hormones are all over the place, Ive never heard of strep B before and got really worried as i read if left untreated can cause miscarriage and mine have been left untreated for a week.. then i get my anti biotics, take one of them, then read the packet and it said not not take if pregnant, had to call Doctors, they gave me wrong medicine and got new ones.. how awful..

Suzi you are so sweet, i really mean that and appreciate it :hugs:

Thanks Laura - there's no need to apologize. You are going thru a very scary thing right now & need some comfort (where we come in :friends:). Having a sh__y day is having a sh__y day, whether preg or not & then you got the raging hormones on top of it! Then the wrong anti-b's? - :dohh::nope:](*,).

I hope you can relax tonight  & nurse all of those crappy sicknesses & pains & bad things away! :trouble::grr::grr:

I have noticed on these boards that some women get pos results as early as 9dpo- wich seems realy unlikely- i wonder if sometimes these women are O-ing earlier than they thought?? years ago during my first round of baby years- i would onnly get BFP when i was 14+dpo- but maybee tests were not as sensitive then?

All that being said- becasue i read about other women getting them (BFP's0 so early, i frequently find myself talking myself inot it....But then- i think sometimes good to wait cos apparently many will not make it to 14dpo- i think i would prefer to have only the BFN rather than the BFP then BFN.

Its such a rollercoaster!

GL ladies!

Ahh i can't multi quote, how annoying!

Maria - bless you for thinking of us all!! We are thinkig of you and hope you feel better and those anti-biotics kick in!!

Xsmommy - GL!! It is so hard wanting to test but being strong not to do it! Good for you - I am terrible. Once it's in my head that is it! This month I have none in the house. Tell a lie there is one I got from the chemist - the second one in packet I bought last cycle. Hmmm.... Anyway - your EWCM could be promising... :dust: and keep us posted!!

Lillyrose - your cm could be promising too!!! GL to you and hope you get a bfp. :dust: My testing days are so far away. I think this thread is great as even when you are no where near testing yourself - someone is at that crucial moment and you can follow their story to stop you thinking of your own! Keep us posted!!

Ella - thanks hun for advice with cm, we haven't bd though, both a bit stressed. Was ment to move today - complications again. we will just see how this month pans out. temps are not showing anything so will still just go for it from cd 10 I think. wow I am impressed with you BDing 8 days straight - that's impressive ;) GL and yeh i hope that is ovulation for you :) keep :sex:

Suzi -thanks for the IC link, I have saved it. Although I am hoping not to spend anything this month! I feel already like I am calming down. Possibly moving towards a break but don't quote me on that. And thanks for cm link - you know I never check it right inside like that, just what has come out. Might start recording it more on ff.

Laura - Bless you honey! That is crap about getting poorly and then the wrong pills - no wonder you must have been sooo upset. You come and vent here, don't feel bad. You just get well now :hugs:

Welcome Curlymumma! wow you have things covered! Has dh been checked since you had your other three children ok? My dh was booked for a sa but we were lucky to cancel as it was a week after my bfp with ds. GL to you, nice to have you on board :)

Welcome all new ladies!! And big  to all our regulars :) Anyone hear from Keri? Is she having a break? Right think I better post this - I've spent so long writing it there will probably be half a dozen entries :)
