Welcome to Trying To Conceive #1

Good evening
im a man with loads of questions... Im hoping you ladies can help me out ... me and my wife are ready to have our 1st baby.... cant wait... we came off the pill about a month ago which we think brought her period on... thing is it was a very light/short period... almost non existent...and it came on at a completley different time to usual... sorry to sound graphic but there wasnt much bleeding... is this normal when coming off the pill and does the pill move your period??

thnx

When you stop taking the pill you have a withdrawl bleed and then it might take a few months to get a normal cycle back again. Because the pill is all fake hormones her period is likely to change because her body has to sort itself back out and start producing those hormones on its own. Good luck!

Check out the rest of the forums. There are all kinds of threads and everyone is quite helpful :)

DANTE - FXD that this bean sticks!!! Hold out for the 5 days!!! I sooo hope this is it for you! :flower:

MANY MANY THANKS! :flower: Fingers, toes, and whatelse can be crossed are crossed :haha:

Hey girls could really do with some advice here in personal experiences and what you think, so here goes -
Me and my fiancé are TTC.*
I was on the depo injection and have been off it for nearly 3 months. I know it can take a while to get out of your system but read on a few pages and in shop that agnus castus helps regulate ur periods and helps conceive. I stopped taking these has I have the following symptoms...*
I have been feeling sick in the mornings (not every morning) and been sick twice
A lot of vaginal discharge, like a White cloudy colour (no smell or itch TMI sorry)
Bloated*
A dull achy pain in my lower back*
Cramps in my lower stomach*
Had a few headaches*
Tired all the time (nearly falling asleep at work)*
And today really painful earache (I know this isn't a symptom, but I have read a few times women had it in early pregnancy).

Please no sarcastic answers, I'm going to do a HPT nest week as I haven't had a period yet since coming off the depo, but who know the Agnus castus could have done it's magic.

Thank you.

Baby dust to u all <3

Hi Ladies,
Just wanted to say I'm really looking forward to getting to know all of you and happy to have a great forum to chat on and share this great journey of TTC #1!

GL to all :)

Hi girls

Well I couldn't wait till next week to test so I did today....BFN!
so gutted really thought I was with all the symptoms.
Anyway I don't know weather i should do another next week, I don't want to get my hopes up to be shattered again & I would have thought with having all those symptoms for 2 week in wedneday it would have been able to detect the pregnany?

Anyways...I'm off for a while. Think I will just snuggled up in bed and watch tv for the rest of the day =(

Xxxx

Aww truffle so sorry to hear about your BFN, i know that awful feeling all too well, im hoping for a BFP when i test, but i have a feeling ill have the BFN again.

Hope you cheer up soon :)

Well, after my AF was late for 3 weeks and having cramps/sore boobs for about 4 weeks.. AF finally showed up (and is as painful as ever) but at least I can start the process over instead of wondering where AF is and why all my HPT were negative. Better luck next time I guess :(

Welcome NEWBIE!!! :flower:

TRUFFLE, I am sorry to hear the news, I am a positive thinker, and although I suffered a MC recently, I have a beautiful daughter, and was able to conceive a few months ago, so I know it's possible. I would say, rest your nerves till you are ready to try again.

DANTE - ??? did you test :test:???

Hello Everyone, I am very new to this however I have been reading other post so I thought I would say hello. :flower:
I dont really know all the abbreviations for words yet but i shall pick them up quickly i hope.
My boyfriend and I have been trying to conceive since the beginning of this year, it doesnt seem like a long time when I write it but it feels like years. My boyfriend has known for a while (since previous relationship) that he has a low sperm count and poor motility. He recently underwent a semen analysis and things are really no better. :nope: Our GP referred my boyfriend to Urology who basically said they couldnt do anything and told us we would have to wait and see, in the meantime we also got referred to the fertility specialists at our local hospital. I did my day 2 and day 21 progresterone tests and found out that I also have low progesterone. Shocked yes but I have always known in my heart that something wasnt right, I just didnt expect it to be that. Our consultant told us our only option was IVF ICSI, however because of the length of time we have been TTC we would have to wait until 1yr had passed.
I have since been prescribed Clomid and just waiting now for my next cycle to start so i can begin taking it, i have a 4 month supply of clomid so fingers crossed for a sprinkling of :dust:

My boyfriend and I are staying positive but know we have a long road ahead of us, I have cried so much :cry:over this and it makes me feel very sad that so many couples are in similar situations. I wish every single one of you the very best of luck xx

Welcome & GL SAVANNAH!!!

I hope your journey gets easier now that you have more information on you two. We will all be here to chat and provide any information and support that we can! :dust:

I am new to the threads. We have been ttc for almost a year. I am 34 and I feel time is running out for me. I know plenty of women have children after 35 but I always wanted my first child before 35. I have a gyno appt in two weeks to talk this over with him but I am nervouse about the whole thing. My periods are basically every 28 days give or take. I guess I just worry about nothing as my husband says but it is always on my mind, espcially when every one around me is turning up pregnant.

well as you can guess i got a bfn but just gonna keep fingers crossed for this month ov starts on sat so il be happy trying from then, hope every one is well and want to start seeing some bfp on here :happydance:
