Hi Ladies ,
Well I am turning 40 next week and are currently TTC. I have a WONDERFUL INFER-SPCL which has me on a step by step plan , which includes: Clomid 50mg and Ovidrel injection . I've done both and has started OV'g the past two days.
Feeling a little tired but I know we must keepmaking deposits sex:.
The next two weeks will be a long wait for results. We've tried for 3 years and this is our first fertility treatment so we are hoping the first go round takes.

Will post Good News in two weeks!:mail:

Morning All,

Wow, so much has happened again since I was last here. Ali - woohoo, go swimmers!

Claire, looking forward to seeing todays hpt pic. FX for your sticky little bean.

Jess, temping definitely helps, along with OPKs. Mind you, my temps are all over the place and I always take them at around 5am as thats when I wake up.

I did an OPK again yesterday and there was no second line at all, so I'll just keep trying and see what happens, its still early yet for me. I do find it difficult to take them as you're suppose to have about 3 hours build up in there, but because I try to drink plenty, there's no way I can wait 3 hours. I go just before I leave work at 4 and then by the time I get home at 5.30, I'm bursting. I'm working from home again today, so that makes me worse as the look is just next to my office. I'll have to try to cross my legs for a while eh?

Hope everyone is well. x

Yes I am take injectable hormones to stimulate my ovaries. I am now up to two shots per day...1 shot of follistim and 1 shot of menopur. Right now we are trying to get those ovaries to make lots of nice follicles. The u/s is to check the progress and the bloodwork is to check hormone levels. More shots will be added next week and I am at RE office 9 times in 12 days....which seems like a lot but they are really keeping an eye on things. The tentative egg retrieval date is July 21 (+ or - 2 days) and then transfer 4 days later.
The good thing about all the hormone shots is my bleeding is almost gone. (happy dance)
I am really hoping for some nice healthy embryos and hopefully a healthy pregnancy...I guess the same thing that we all want.
The dang headaches are a side effect to the shots but hopefully they subside.

Today is my third day on follistim and I have had horrible headaches the past couple of days. I hear this is a side effect but oh my heck!
I went and did blood work today and tomorrow I start menopur and then more bloodwork and ultrasound on Thursday.
It seems like the bleeding is finally lightening up a bit...probably from the extra hormones :)
Hope you are all doing well. Seems like quite a few of us are on the right track this month! Good luck and baby dust to all!

Are those hormones you are taking? And the us--is this to determine ovary or...?

Morning Ladies!!

New to the ttc community and have been ttc now for nearly 4 yrs- male factor ( hubby had a reversal in '08 but still low motility and count). I am a proud mom of two teenage children and always wanted another child after marriage ( married 4 yrs) currently waiting a few days to test as my cycle is now late as of today. I am experiencing EWCM, lots of bloating, fatigue, breast tenderness and a bit of cramping. My new cycle was due to start yesterday and i'm truly praying it stays away for the next 7-9 months! [-o<

I have experienced high FSH and TSH in the past however, last months numbers were perfect!! ( FSH was 7 Estradiol 9.1 and LH 8!) I believe its due to drinking the Burdock tea along with two droppers of Vitex chasteberry. If not pregnant this month, will definitely keep drinking the tea and herbs.

There is hope for everyone here who's ttc and with having regular menstrual cycle and no other reproductive issues, I am faithful that its just a matter of time. Never give up and remember no doctor knows your body better than God does!! Blessings to you all ! :winkwink:

Sorry ladies I forgot to mention my hubby has been drinking Horny Goat Weed and Ying Yang herbal teas. His numbers are looking much better!

Welcome, Deb! I'm Jess...I hope your BFP comes today! ...or even tomorrow... :) Or just really really soon...like, the next time you test...:winkwink:

What in the world is Horny Goat Weed and Ying Yang herbal teas? Lol!

Deb.. GL and FX'd Where do you get the burdock tea and liquid vitex? All I have is the pill form of vitex. Also.. if it really called horny goat weed? :haha: That is a really funny name!

I'm Ali by the way, and I'm 39 and TTC as a single lady. I might have a mild case of PCOS, but other than that everything is working properly. I'm doing IUI since I don't have a man in my life to help me out with the :spermy: with donor sperm.

Thanks Terri...I wake up around 4:30am M-F...how long does it take to take your temp? And do I need to wake up early on Saturday and Sunday too? :coffee:

Jess - you need a basal thermometer, and try to find one that takes 60 seconds or less, and has your temp to 2 decimal points (ie. 97.49). That way you can be as accurate as possible. I simply take my temp before I do anything else. Even though I usually have to pee really badly. :haha: It only take a minute, and then I run to the bathroom and more days than not pee into a cup so I can do a test! Either the OPK or the HPT. LOL! The things we do because we are TTC! As for timing, yes they do suggest you take your temp at the same time every day, but I get up at a different time every day! So that doesn't work for me. So, yes, you need to take it at the same time if possible, and some people even wake up on the weekends to do it at the same time then just roll over. You could do that? I do know that my thermometer saves the last temp, so you don't even have to fully wake up to read it. Just wait until it beeps (and it is really a quiet beep) and then go back to sleep! I downloaded the FF app to my phone, and I just plug it in once I have completed my pee ritual!!

OMG I am so freaked out! I tested with an OPK this morning and I'm still surging. What do I do now? The sperm won't last too much longer inside me I don't think, and I don't think the egg has released yet! AHHHHHH Does anyone know how long frozen sperm live once they are inside you?

Yes, starting early is best. It will help you to get your baseline of what your temps are before you O versus after you O. The more temps you have before your O the more accurate your coverline will be as well. A few days after you O you'll end up with 2 lines, the O line, and the cover line that will form a cross on your chart. The O line is obvious, but the cover line goes horizontally and shows the temp that distinguishes the before O values from the after O values, and it is this line that you don't want to cross at the end of your cycle. Some women see a dip below this line around implantation, called the implantation dip, but otherwise if you have a temp below that line, it usually means AF is on its way.

OK Ali...I am going to need you to make a quick trip to Austin, Texas so you can guide me through this process! :haha:

...I looked at your charts and my eyes started to cross! What are all the codes? Like the letters by CM...

OK Ali...I am going to need you to make a quick trip to Austin, Texas so you can guide me through this process! :haha:

...I looked at your charts and my eyes started to cross! What are all the codes? Like the letters by CM...

HEHE.. It really is confusing to look at, but really it is simple. When you fill stuff in, it creates the codes. So all you have to do is fill in the dialog boxes. For example, there is a Drop down for CM, and you can pick Eggwhite, sticky, watery, or whatver the other options are. Then on your chart it will stick the code there for you automatically. I don't use all of the options, I stick with sex, opk, hpt, any meds I was taking and maybe the CM stuff if I notice it, and the temps. If I were you I would record your morning temps, the OPK and when you have sex. That way when you get your O line you'll know if you had sex at the right time! Then when it gets closer to AF day you can record your HPTs too :) See it isn't that difficult! If you want to symptom spot you can do that as well, although I am not convinced that doing this helps me, but who knows? Maybe?

So I called down to the fertility clinic to ask about why I am still surging, and she said not to worry, that I most likely have already ovulated, but that the surge can last a while as it goes down again. So my peak and ovulation was probably yesterday but this morning it was still high enough to register on the OPK. I hope she is right! She also told me that frozen sperm live up to 48 hours so even if I ovluate between now and 10 am tomorrow, we should be good!
