OMG I am so freaked out! I tested with an OPK this morning and I'm still surging. What do I do now? The sperm won't last too much longer inside me I don't think, and I don't think the egg has released yet! AHHHHHH Does anyone know how long frozen sperm live once they are inside you?

So I called down to the fertility clinic to ask about why I am still surging, and she said not to worry, that I most likely have already ovulated, but that the surge can last a while as it goes down again. So my peak and ovulation was probably yesterday but this morning it was still high enough to register on the OPK. I hope she is right! She also told me that frozen sperm live up to 48 hours so even if I ovluate between now and 10 am tomorrow, we should be good!

Awesome...Yes, if you are testing with the two-line test method it will continue to show your surge. What type opk do you use? Some ladies surge for up to 2-3 days depending. But it is the peak that knocks the gg loose

YEP! Well I'm one of those people that I can't really do anything else until I get the answer to my question. Sure I can look like I'm working but my brain keeps coming back to the question at hand and needs to know the answer

I have been using the CBE kit, with the happy face. I am usually happy to see the happy face, but it showed up first on Monday afternoon, and then last night it was gone when I peed before bed, but on a whim I peed again this morning and the smiley face was back!!! I bet the pee that I used last night was just too dilute, and it is probably on its way down now. Then this morning I had FMU so it was strong again and showed the smiley. I'm going to try again when I have to pee next and see what it says.

i test around 12.30 pm and 6pm,and i test once after a + to see if surge going down

I usually test until its gone, just to know how many days it sticks around for. I usually see the smiley face on the clear blue easy digital for about 48 hours, then it is gone. I usually just test with FMU, but I have seen posts that say you should use afternoon or evening urine. I guess just try and see what works best for you?

So I always tested after also...and I would sometimes get a surge that lasted more than one day I think Ali is right--the initial surge is what you are counting on to trigger the release of the egg. However, sometimes (especially if you have super long cycles) you will get one LH surge that is positive but doesn't release the egg...a few days later you will get another positive and that is the one that releases the egg. Strange our womens bodies!

Thats so true...our bodies are designed to baffle & confuse
I always kept going with the OPK`s until the temp shift confirmed it had happened.

Have you had your progesterone tested and all that good stuff? If you haven't you might want to make sure that is done so you know if it is high enough to sustain a pregnancy. If you are like me, you probably want to make sure that you are doing everything right!

Good idea! Maybe they can get you a rec to go to the lab and have your blood drawn before your appt and he can call you if there is anything to worry about. Then you'll have peace of mind

Hi ladies!

AFM- didn't go walking this morning as is my usual...had a terrile nightmare my neighbors were stalking me and trying to kill my baby so I talked myself out of going out today. Stupid nightmares... You know what is really terrible? My 3-year old had a nightmare about the neighbor lady the other night! Aargh, sometimes I really hate having neighbors.

Anyway, dh and I have been talking baout moving as soon as the finances become available (stupid money, lol! ) We are thinking someplace with a steady barometric pressure so dh isn't in such extreme pain all the time. I loooked them up and the best places are (YAY!) Hawaii or California. lol.

Last night I cooked Greek style pork in lemon and made a nectarine fruit salad to go with it I didn't eat too much of it though as I was saving room for ice cream later but got so tired I skipped the ice cream, NUTS! lol Today had granola and fruit for breakfast, so I am trying not to gain too much weight for my doctor this month He's really tall and uber skinny...wonder what he eats ... lol! I did work out with my weight bar in the back yard this morning though.

Here's the thing about working out when pregnant as opposed to when I was not pregnant- usually I like rough stuff, cou[ple winters back managed to break my ribs and I like to cycle hard, etc, but I can't do that stuff when I am preggo So I try the slow and steady approach (hard for me! ) Once I have this baby I will be able to get at it more.

Dh bought me a coconut shell bikini top but told me I couldn't wear it outside ,lol! Because the neighbor guy, y'know...Anyway, I thought it was funny A prego in coconut shell bra, lol!

Jess- how are you doing? When will you start temping? I think if you normally temp at 4:am when you get up that's awesome but if you want to sleep in on the weekends, just temp when you wake up I think temping is awesome, but don't let it get in the way if living, you know?
