Welcome to 'Trying To Conceive Over 35'

Where is everyone? :nope: Hm, today I didn't do much, just loads and loads of laundry, my school, cook, etc... I watched my glucose closely all day trying to figure out what's up  I did notice I get heart palpitations when it starts to rise. When I told this to my doc he's like "hm, how fast is your heart beating?" I'm all "Dude! You're suppose to CHECK it yourself! :growlmad:" lol!! Jeez....Anyway, thinking about a midnight snack then going to bed. I can't eat past midnight anyway as I have to "fast" as they call it  Since tomorrow is weekend they have to get called in once I get there, to which I felt kinda bad....:sad1:....Then I thought "screw that, I want to know what's going on and they're getting paid...." lol!

Hi! Just wanted to introduce myself. I am 40 and hubby is 41. We have decided to try for another baby after 14 years. We have 14 year old boy/girl twins, whom we conceived with fertility drugs and IUI.
This time we want a more natural approach. Besides, we live in an area that doesn't really have fertility doctors. Even the gp's are suspect .

I am hoping to get a BFP this month, but the wait is killing me. I used to be such a patient person

Blessings to all!

Good luck twotogo and welcome.

Kelly I don't really do a lot to be honest, everybody has gifts and the ability to 'see', it's just being open to it. I see and feel spirits and guides, can get messages often but my strength seems to be with intuitions through such guidance. I also seem to get bombarded with spirits trying to pass on messages to people. I've done a few readings Alin but am not really that confident yet doing them, although all the ones I've done have apparently been very accurate. It's a work in progress shall we say. I do have a friend who does readings with angel cards if anybody wants her details. She helped me greatly after my most recent loss.

I could give a few examples of things that have happened maybe down the line. I got a feeling instantly from your post earlier in the week Kelly which is why I subtly tried to keep encouraging you to keep positive xo.

Now that's my crazy secret shared I'm going off to cut the garden.

If only I could do the same for everybody!

well af just showed up for me so hope the 3 predictions for an aug bfp come true lol

Kelly, my mate has a link at https://www.facebook.com/#!/pages/Angel-Card-Readings-by-Debbie/245021518870472 if you're on Facebook. I've just realised she's on a 6-week break though as she just had her rainbow baby last week after years of trying and heartache :cloud9:. I thought she was only taking a fortnight off.

Alin :hugs:, sorry AF got you, but on the positive another month ahoy to get that BFP! :flower:

I think AF is on it's way for me, or rather I'm getting into that frame of mind so I'm not too disappointed. I had a temp dip this morning so didn't even bother testing. Though I scooped up there (sorry if TMI) and there was only a tiny bit bright fresh blood again, again not like menstrual flow. I've now just had a couple of very small patches of watery brown discharge this avo but again when I investigated no sign of anything more . I just don't get it and suspect it may be an IB as it is similar to ones I've had before but I am oh so scared of building my hopes up. I have some inner deep mild cramps so am putting it down to AF and not what I want it to be (implanting).

Going to try and be brave and wait till Monday if AF doesn't appear. Will keep you all posted x

Ali... are you up yet? I think you are getting your blood test done today?Waiting on that good news honey!

Come on, where are these other BFPs this month ladies?

We're off to see Batman tonight on one of those mega large screens. I'm not really into Batman to be honest and after yesterday's tragedy in Denver I'm not fussed about going, but we never go out so I suppose it'll take my mind off things for a few hours :winkwink:.

What are you all up to?

Think I'm out this month girls, so confused but hey ho our bodies just love keeping us on our toes eh? X

Hey Angel! So sorry :( I'm not sure I'm in either. I tested this morning with a FRER (first response early result) and it was negative. I guess anything is possible as I'm still only 10DPO. The nausea has gone away for the most part, and now all I have is cramping on the right near my right ovary, lower back pain and a nagging headache that just doesn't want to go away. I guess as they say, its never over until the :witch: shows, but I'm not feeling overly confident!

So I'm going to go out in the boat with my Mom and my 2 doggies and we'll take them to the island for a run and a swim, then tonight we are going to a lobsterfest! YAY! So at least I'll have some fun this afternoon/evening!

Welcome towtogo! Nice to see new ladies joining our thread. GL, and FX'd!!! How long until you can :test: I'm at 10 DPO and I'm going crazy, second guessing every twinge, and wondering if I'm pregnant or if AF is on its way. Luck to you and here is some baby dust :dust:

Coy.. how did the testing go? Did you get any results? If not, when will you get them? I tested this morning, and got a :bfn: with a FRER  I'm only 10DPO, but I was hopeful I'd see a faint line. For the last 2 nights I have slept like a log and had dreams of :bfp: and woken up so hopeful only to have my hopes dashed by the harsh reality of seeing only 1 line :nope:

Off in the boat.. I'll check in tomorrow.. hopefully with better news!

Hi ladies- well, I went in for test this morning but there was an ambulance run so I got bumped to the back of the line...I was hungry and it was getting hot in the waiting room  so I'll go back in MOnday  But my Glucose has been good today

Sorry I have not been on much ladies...usually I am on when I am doing school, it keeps my mind relaxed and open to pop onto bnb and browse and chat then back to my school. But this dumb computer! :growlmad: I rarely can get on...problem is it is not in my nice quiet office in front of the fan Guess where my new "work station" is at? :growlmad: In the living room, in a corner, right next to the flat screen tv where everyone or at least someone is ALWAYS watching loud tv. :sad1: This corner is hot, plus the computer is set up so high I have to stand to type and on my toes! Aaargh! So makes working school very difficult. I was just getting my schedule switched where IO get up super early to enjoy the cool of the day and to bed early too for more rest....but now with all the crap I can't study right next tot he tv and speaker boxes  So am thinking...I may have to work at night again, still get up early but take naps I guess? NUTS! is all I can say. Couple weeks I hope to get my office computer up and running...What I really need is amoney tree :haha: then I could get it fixed right away, lol!

Other than all that trype I am feeling okay...tired the last couple days. My sugar has been pretty stable, normally it is at 80'ish fasting then when I eat it jumps to about 120 or so then within half hour back down again. Will do my GD test Monday

And babes has taken to position ON my bladder I guess:shrug: as I intermittently feel as tho I'm gonna pee my pants then it goes away... LOL!

Think I am going to take a cool shower and see about getting some work done even tho I am pooped :haha:

Hey Ladies,

Sorry I disappeared. I'm on vacation (or "holiday" for Angel ;)) in Denver. No, I have not gone to any movies.

Angel: sorry to hear you think you are out this month.
Ali: I'm pulling for you!
Kelly: yay!!!

I've also been a bit bummed. Instead of a baby, I've got a UTI for the 3rd month in a row! AF is due tomorrow and I've been spotting for 8 freakin days already.

We're deciding whether to try medicated IUI next month or keep trying the old fashioned way. Thoughts anyone?

Hey!

Thanks! I'm not feeling overly optimistic about this month. I have a feeling that I'll be on to August  oh well!

As for meds, I'm going to try pergonal, it is normally used with IVF patients, but my FS uses it at lower doses for IUI and has had great results. I guess it grows really healthy follicles and at the lower dose you only get a few follicles, not too many like you would for IVF. Another thing you should look into is progesterone. Spotting at the end of your cycle can be a symptom of low progesterone and could be the reason you aren't getting pregnant? Maybe? Next month have them test your progesterone 7dpo and make sure it is high enough.

GL and FX'd!!!

Ali, don't get bummed ahead of yourself :hugs: I took a look at your chart and your temps are nice and high....and you are not on progesterone supplements this time around, right?
