Welcome to 'Trying To Conceive Over 35'

So, I mentioned :sex: to DH... and he says "Um, can it wait until tomorrow?" ](*,)
I told him tomorrow may be too late.
Right now he's snoring in his recliner. We are supposed to leave in about 30 minutes to go out of town for the rest of the day.

He better wake up and have a bit more energy when we get home! :haha:

I'd say you are definitely surging. So make your DH BD today sometime, 2 times if possible! LOL. Don't forget that the concentration of LH is entirely dependent on the concentration of your pee. So if you are drinking a lot of water, and peeing alot, that can make a surge less dark. I really like the CBE tests with the smiley face (I know they are expensive), but they look at estrogen AND LH I have heard, so they give you a more accurate test. I got a month's worth or 20 sticks for $28.00 at Walmart 2 months ago, which is the cheapest I have seen them. They were $49.00 in Canada, so I went without when I was up there. We were doing blood work and ultrasounds, so we knew pretty much when I O'd because of those tests.

GL and FX'd to you!!!

Hi :hi: everyone!

I'm home. Got back around 1 this afternoon. So happy to be home, and not on the road! Course I would rather be at the cottage, it is so nice up there. It is HOT HOT HOT here, and I'm back to A/C, bleh. The drive today was uneventful, except that my car started beeping and showing me strange pics of my axel about 15 miles from home. The car seemed fine, so I have no idea what that was all about. I'm hoping it was just a computer failure, and it will be gone when I start it up to go to work tomorrow. FX'd!

So I took a HPT this afternoon, one of the IC's and it was negative. I have no idea what the miu of these are, it didn't say :( I could have bought the 10 miu ones, but they were 2-3 times more expensive. Don't you worry Coy, if I have any questions, I will get a FRER!!! Anyway, I had a negative test today, and will test again in the morning just to make sure the trigger is out using FMU. If it is I'll be able to test each morning and if I'm pregnant, it will be a true positive, and not one from the trigger. YAY!

I am very tired, I got home barely unpacked the car, got a load of laundry going and promptly crashed out for 3 hours. WOW! Now I'm totally emotional and watching the Next Food Network Star (I had it taped while I was in Canada). I'm practically in tears watching all the emotions on TV. Silly me!

Only 5DPO here, and 5-6 DP IUI. So hoping this one takes, and the next 5-10 days are going to be sooooooo looooong.

Just ordered a pizza and will focus on laundry, and making sure I have something to wear to the office tomorrow. Then I'm going to get into bed and watch some of the other TV shows I taped while I was in Canada, and just luxuriate in the fact that I'm home!

I'm not going to stress about the fact that my garden is overgrown, or that I have almost 2 feet of mail to go through, or the fact that my car is so very dirty. EEK! I will deal with these things next weekend. WHEW!

Two To Go- Aha! Well, if that is the control line then I'd def say you are surging and should get your pos maybe in the morning? Do you test with fmu on this brand? Oh my goodness, dh's can be sooo frustrating! My dh was under the impression that ovulation took about a week! :shock: LOL! I told him "Lookey here, you have literally millions of sperms running around, just clamoring to get used up evry single day! Sometimes more than once a day! But we women- we have ONE EGG- just one!- and it has a life span of 6-24 hours. TAKE OFF YOUR PANTS." :growlmad: LOL! :haha:

Ali- woot woot! You are home, yay! Silly you, getting emoitonal at cooking shows :haha: Seriously though, I've been there :huh: lol Totally normal! Wow, I am impressed with your energy lady! You drove all that way and still did laundry! I totally would have ordered the pizza too :thumbup: The axle light concerns me though, you may want to have that checked. Something may be wrong :shrug: but that is waaaay past my expertise! :haha: I am trying not to stress out as we have 3 vehicles that will run and one totally blown up :nope: Problem is vehicle #1 has very bad brakes, vehicle #2 has a clutching problem and you have to turn it off to change gears :shrug: plus it is so big my feet won't reach the pedals :blush: , and vehicle #3 is soooo old (70's) all of the hoses have rotted off and it rquires you buy leded additive for th egas :roll: Plus I have no budget for our rip-off mechanic :growlmad: The last 5-6 times we have taken a vehicle to him for simple repair we get nailed. For instance: My starter stops working so he repairs it but then the car refuses to idle and smokes like crazy! Then we have another car that is moving but making these lugging chugging sounds...he tells us it needs a new transmission :huh: Then we take our truck in because it is smoking and the dude assures us he has it fixed, just a valve gasket, bla bla bla- and the engine blows up! I am completely fed up with mechanics (as you can tell - my rant- :haha:) Aaarg. Anyway, God bless our vehicles Ali! :hugs: lol

:growlmad: DH hurt his back.... so we have to wait until tomorrow. :growlmad:

Hmmm, I wonder where's Jess? She sometimes doesn't post on weekends, but sheesh, we haven't heard form her since the 13th :nope: Hope everything is okay. Her chart is current to friday...:shrug: Where are you Jess?

AFM- wow, a tiring day. I had to work out two Final Exams today plus a plethora of crazy mini assignments for the end of this course :roll: Plus my 3 year old got all uncharacteristically fussy so I checked and she has a mild temp of 99.3 and a strange whitish rash on her belly and under her arms...:shrug: Poor baby, anyway we gaver her Benadryl, anti-itch cream, and chidlrens Motrin, and some ice cream :haha: That seemed to fix her up, she is sleeping with normal temp and the rash seems to have cleared for the most part. Wonder what the heck? Only thing she ate different the last two days has been popcorn. She has had that before with no problem, but I wonder if the brand can make a difference? Will take her to see her doctor tomorrow if it continues. :nope: I hate when my babies don't feel good. So anyways, I will be on Super Mom Status for the rest of the night, I always end up going to check temps in middle of the night, etc, when they don't feel good...

Truly AFM this time :haha: Hm, babes is kicking like crazy after I go to bed at night :roll: Ty[ical child, lol! Currently she has hiccups :) I am still exhausted but finding if I stay active it helps me some. I checked the weight scale and wonder if it is wrong as it shows me as having gained only about .5 pounds if anything at all since my last appointment where I had lost a pound...? :shrug: Hm. My next appt. is the 24th so guess I will find out.

Typical man, hurting is back just when you need to bd! :growlmad: lol! I hope he gets better soon though--just tell him to lay really still :haha: :)

I have a 2006 VW Touareg, and it seemed to be driving just fine the past 15 miles, so I was wondering if it was just a blown sensor? I did look up the issue and it said something about a differential lock? IDK what that is, but it sounds bad. I am going to call tomorrow, if the thing is still alerting me to the issue. OH, and I was wrong about the trigger being out of my system. I just didn't give the IC long enough to sit. I came back to it an hour later and there was a faint line. So I guess I will have to keep testing the trigger out of my system.

I'm off to bed! Oh, and Coy, the reason I had energy when I got home was that I did the bare minimum upon getting home and promptly took a 3 hour nap! :haha: Now I'm tired, its almost 1am, I better get some :sleep: as tomorrow might be kind of sucky seeing as it is my first day back in the office in 7 weeks!

OHH.. I hope your DD is OK! Sounds like you got her fixed up and she was doing better. I hope you are eating! It sounds like you aren't, and you need to! Silly girl, you have a baby inside. GL on your assignment!

Yes, I miss Jess too! I hope she is back tomorrow. :hug: to Jess, we miss you!

Morning All,

Work is a bit slow again this morning, so thought I'd pop on here to catch up.

Ali, so glad you're back home safe and well, I would definitely get that light checked out. I hate it when they show. Hubby had the ABS light showing for ages, it was just the sensor that had gone, but it was expensive to replace. you have hammered your car over the last few days, its probably from overuse! :rofl:

I had a busy day yesterday, we powerwashed the decking and did some gardening round the back, then I washed Hubby's car as his was in the drive, mine was going to be next, but it was too hot and my back hurt, so I gave up. I still did stuff inside though, laundry, cleaning etc. Then I fell asleep for a couple of hours while reading. Hehe!

Hubby was called out to work about 8.30 last night, came home and went out a couple of times and finally got into bed at 4.30 this morning. Needless to say, he's not going into work this morning. he has to have so many hours break before working again, so as I'm working at home today, when he gets up, he'll more than likely sit in my office and talk to me. He's done that before and helps my day go quicker.

Still no sign of ov yet. My temp went up quite a lot today, but I think thats because I didn't really get to sleep properly until 4.30 when Ian came home, then my alarm went off at 6. I took my temp about 5.55, so wasn't really rested properly. We'll see what happens later when I do another OPK.

Angel, still watching your chart, looking good.

Jess, where are you?

Coy, one of my friends didn't put any weight on in the last couple of months of her pregnancy, well, she hardly put any weight on through the whole 9 months really, everyone is different. I guess the fact that she's moving and kicking is a sign that she's pretty healthy in there. :hugs:

Hi ladies. :hi: Crappy night here, it is a quarter to 3 am and I am still awake :nope: DD woke up crying and all itchy with those crazy whitish bumps on her sides and back and behind her knees :growlmad: So more benadryla nd cortisone cream. Now she is asleep in MY BED lol and there was no room for me and my big tummy so I am trying to crash on the couch :shrug: Plus I am suddenly starving- I skipped dinner and last I ate was bout 13 hours ago...hmm...I should look :huh: lol

Thanks Terri and Ali :hugs:

:hi: Hello Everyone! I hope everyone had a fantastic weekend!

Coy...how is your daughter doing? I hope she quit itching and you managed to get some rest.

Ali...are you back in Florida yet? Are you pregnant yet? :)

Tracey...what is going on in your world? Powerwashed the deck huh? I bet it looks great! My brother powerwashed his driveway and deck just before he sold his house. It looked fantastic...he wondered why he had not done it sooner.

And everyone else...what's going on!?!

AFM...I have been out of commission because we moved our gym to a new location. (Even my FaceBook friends are looking for me. Does anyone else have FaceBook in here?) Although I am not a gym employee and not officially obligated to help, my BF is an employee...and my trainer is the owner as well as my pastor and friend for the last 14 years. So, I helped. It took us three days to get everything moved AND we are still trying to get it all organized.:wacko: I am sooooo tired! AND, on top of everything else, this friday is my BF's birthday and I have a surprise party planned for him on Saturday. Busy, busy, busy!!
Even with being really tired, I managed to squeeze in a little bit of BD'ing but I haven't taken my temps because I knew they would be off since I was getting so little rest. Today is cycle day 14 for me...I think...lol! I will temp again tomorrow. I haven't done much in the way of tracking my progress but I guess if it happens, it will happen whether I track it or not. So, keep your fingers crossed for me!!

Hi Jess! :hi: Nice to see you back. That sounds like a lot of work, but also fun. Btw, I do have a facebook.

Hi :hi: ladies!

Jess - I am so glad you are back! I was getting worried that you had left us, and well, that just couldn't happen. We miss you too much! Sounds like you've had a busy couple of days, and no wonder you have been MIA. So at CD 14 does that mean you have already O'd? I hope you got lots of BD'ing in between all the moving!

Tracey - jeepers, I hope your DH gets some rest! I'm glad that they don't make him go into work first thing in the morning after being called out all night. My job is like that too, we are on call on certain days and have to be available. In fact my new co-worker was on call last night, and because he is a newbie, he was calling me up until midnight because he needed help with a call. So needless to say I'm tired today, and I wasn't even on call! I hope that your O comes soon, do you have any signs that it might be on its way?

Coy - I'm no Dr, but it sounds like you might need to take your DD into the Dr's if the rash isn't gone. Poor thing! I hope she is OK! I hope you are OK too, as I bet you didn't get much sleep :sleep:

TwoToGo - glad you are willing and able to do all the work :haha: you might just need to do that, if your DH is not recovered. You need to make sure you get your BD'ing done!! GL!

AFM - so tired this morning, and I had a temp drop which I'm not sure the cause. Was it an implantation drop? It could be because I had 2 IUIs and I'm fairly sure I am both 6 and 7 DPO so I guess it could be due to implantation. Who knows what is going on down there? I am at the office and am very tired. Oh, I said that already. :haha: that is how tired I am! I just need to make it through the next 6.5 hours so I can head to the grocery store and get some food!

6 DPO (possibly 7 DPO) Symptoms:

* nauseous
* sore boobs, like ouch don't touch me sore
* temp dip
* cramping
* dizziness
* emotional

AF isn't due until 08/29/2012 (that is still 8 days away). Now I just sit and :coffee: ARGH! I'm going nuts :wacko:
