Welcome to 'Trying To Conceive Over 35'

6 DPO (possibly 7 DPO) Symptoms:

* nauseous
* sore boobs, like ouch don't touch me sore
* temp dip
* cramping
* dizziness
* emotional

AF isn't due until 08/29/2012 (that is still 8 days away). Now I just sit and :coffee: ARGH! I'm going nuts :wacko:

Sounds like some great symptoms to have! :thumbup:

Thanks!

I had to laugh at myself last night when I was watching a cooking show and tearing up! Seriously? What is wrong with me? LOL :rofl:

Hi :hi: ladies!

Jess - I am so glad you are back! I was getting worried that you had left us, and well, that just couldn't happen. We miss you too much! Sounds like you've had a busy couple of days, and no wonder you have been MIA. So at CD 14 does that mean you have already O'd? I hope you got lots of BD'ing in between all the moving!

Tracey - jeepers, I hope your DH gets some rest! I'm glad that they don't make him go into work first thing in the morning after being called out all night. My job is like that too, we are on call on certain days and have to be available. In fact my new co-worker was on call last night, and because he is a newbie, he was calling me up until midnight because he needed help with a call. So needless to say I'm tired today, and I wasn't even on call! I hope that your O comes soon, do you have any signs that it might be on its way?

Coy - I'm no Dr, but it sounds like you might need to take your DD into the Dr's if the rash isn't gone. Poor thing! I hope she is OK! I hope you are OK too, as I bet you didn't get much sleep :sleep:

TwoToGo - glad you are willing and able to do all the work :haha: you might just need to do that, if your DH is not recovered. You need to make sure you get your BD'ing done!! GL!

AFM - so tired this morning, and I had a temp drop which I'm not sure the cause. Was it an implantation drop? It could be because I had 2 IUIs and I'm fairly sure I am both 6 and 7 DPO so I guess it could be due to implantation. Who knows what is going on down there? I am at the office and am very tired. Oh, I said that already. :haha: that is how tired I am! I just need to make it through the next 6.5 hours so I can head to the grocery store and get some food!

Well, this morning around 10:00 a.m., I was on my way to get my hubby up and tell him :gun: hand over the :spermy: and no one will get hurt. When someone knocked on our front door. A woman from our church came by with her 2 month old nephew, who she is taking care of, and asked for some advice. While she was here for an hour an a half, I fed him, burped him, and held him the whole time, thinking.... I really need you to leave so I can go make one of you. :haha:
While she was still here, my hubby excused himself to go take a shower so he could leave. I politely let my dear friend know I needed to get my day going as well, and she left. I hurried upstairs and let DH know :gun: hey mister, we got some business to attend to! Fortunately, he was accommodating. :blush:

HAHA! That is too funny :rofl: you are like get out of my house lady, I have some very important business to attend to. :haha: Well I'm glad you didn't have to shoot :gun: her or your DH to take care of that business. That is really cute :)

Hi ladies! :hi:
TwoToGo- you made me laugh with the :gun: LOL! That's how we have to do it sometimes :roll: Fx'd!

Ali- temp dip could be a number of things...Implantation, a fluke, response to exhaustion, climate and barometric change...But i got my fx'd implantation for sure! Symptoms sure point that direction!

Jess- Yay! So glad you are back :thumbup: Sounds like a bunch of heavy lifting you went through but ya got the muscle for it! :haha: I have been watching your chart by the way....

AFM- argh, rough night! Didn't get to bed until 4 am and ended up sleeping on the ocuch until 6 as I put Kat in bed with dh...she slept like a log there but was all fussy and miserable in her own bed :shrug: Not enough room for hr and my bump too :haha: I ended up with my upper body on my desk and my lower body on a chair so I thought screw it I'm going to the ocuch! :haha: Until 6 am when I put her back in her own bed. :sleep: Anyway, busy morning we started having wood delivered. We had to combat a very cantankerous Suburban truck and 3 hornets nests! Got a cord and a half to stack now, but def taking it slow, maybe take a few days to do it...Last year I stacked 5 cords in one day big huge blocks--not this year :growlmad: Gonna take it easy :haha: Dh wouldn't let me help unload either :thumbup:

AWW.. that is a rough night. I hope you get a good nights sleep tonight! Be careful with all that lifting, naughty Coy. BE CAREFUL!!! How is DD doing now?

I keep feeling like I could :sick: all over my desk, and the vertigo, yikes! Not sure what that is all about. I also think I could sleep a week. That could be the drive. Same with the dip, that could be due to the changes from Canada to here too. So IDK, I just have to be patient, AHHHHH.. I'm not a patient person, and am going :wacko: :haha:

2WW Ali- this is a tough one! :thumbup: You're tough too though, so no sweat! The vertigo...hmmm...that sounds familiar to me. I think it is all the blood and hormonal changes. Are you testing fmu tomorrow to see if trigger is all gone?

Yes, I'll be careful lifting. Didn't do much today, nothing with the wood as it was too hot. Maybe in the cool tomorrow morning. And nos school today :happydance: so def early :sleep: Oh dd is much better, still a bit of a rash, not much. I researched it last night and decidced it is the microwave popcorn the dd's ate 2 days in a row. First day she wasa itchy but I attributed it to dry skin...second day aout 3 hours after popcorn the hives :nope: She is not allergic to corn so I have decided it is the funky and formerly unbeknownst :haha: chemical additive :growlmad: referred to as TBHQ "added for freshness". Anyway no more of that junk! She chirpy and happy today though so :thumbup:

Coy, I'm glad you are going to be careful lifting things :thumbup: I'm also glad your DD is doing better :thumbup: You will have to buy old fashioned pop corn and an air popper if they want pop corn, and see if she can eat that. Poor little thing!

I was too sleepy this morning to remember to POAS with FMU, but I did pee with SMU.. :haha: I also just poas again but it was totally clear this evening. This morning with SMU (second morning urine) it was super faint. I will hopefully remember tomorrow to do the FMU, and then we will know for sure if it is gone. I'm exhausted and bloated and going to bed at 9:30 LOL!

Hi Ladies,

I just wanted to check in. I stayed off the boards for most of my TWW. We were on vacation too. I'm 14 dpiui. I got a BFN yesterday on an IC (the 10 miu super-sensitive type) and haven't tested today. I go in for the blood test tomorrow. I know I'm likely out, but I can't help having that glimmer of hope.

***TMI warning***
I puked in the airport yesterday! Funny that I'm happy about that :) It's probably just too much travel food, but you never know. I also had some very sharp pains in my uterus yesterday.

I haven't had a chance to catch up on everyone's progress, but I hope you are all well. :hugs:

Lol at puking in the airport! Def could be bfp implantation sometimes takes a while and so often best to not take that bfn too awful serious. At least not until blood work or AF :thumbup: Got my fx'd for you!! Let us know how the blood work comes out :happydance: Hard not to have that hope so hang on to it :hugs:

Jess- forgot to mention I am on fb also- will look for ya on there :) Oh, btw- I haven't told my family I am prego yet, so fb is a big :shhh: zone, lol! My fam irritates the heck out of me- when I mc'd in 2003 dad and mom told me it was because God never meant to give me a baby and then they decided He did mean to give it to me but took it away because I am a sinner :roll: which really hurt me at the time but I am over it now ... Anyway, then when I got prego with T they told me they were angry because God messed up and really intended the baby (and my dh) for my sister :huh: Anyway they are wierd, so I avoid them! :haha:

Glad to have all you ladies! Great fam support system on here! :hugs:

Hello Everyone! I have to say, your stories and journeys are keeping me going! Things have been getting better between DH and myself, and he's been making some great progress towards sorting himself out. It helps when he starts to realize how bad it actually was, and how close to ruin we are/were.... His dad has been very supportive of me, but one of his sisters and her husband think I'm a gold digger and that he had no money troubles before I came along!! Can you believe that one? He told her that he had this problem for 14 years and that it came out because I discovered it, but that I wasn't the 'cause' of it..... they don't seem convinced, but honestly, I don't really care.... we hardly see them... so whatever.... I also just found out that DH's sister takes offence every time I call my father in law "Dad"..... my F-I-L is fine with it, and in my family that's what we do when we get married. My DH calls my mom, "mom".... isn't that just how it's done? I think she's jealous.
The best thing that has come out of all this mess, is that DH is being totally honest and open with me, and I finally am feeling like we are connecting emotionally again... it's a very good thing!
My wall decal for the baby's room came in and my 15yr old DD and I put it up - what do you think? way faster than painting and no worries about anything falling on the crib! I am choosing to do a Woodland Theme for this baby. I never had the opportunity to do anything like this with my first baby, so I treasure each 'baby' thing I get to do for this one!
Babes is moving quite abit and other than running out of abdominal room, I have no complaints.
I have my fingers crossed for all the ladies in the TWW! I'm watching for those BFP's!!

Crikey, I don't have a flickr account set up yet... I will put the photo of the wall decal in as my avatar! hope that works!
phil.

I almost forgot.... DD and I were talking about names today.... I kept changing my mind, then went back to a family tree my cousin sent me.... in about 987 I have an ancestor named Nesta.... when I looked up the meaning, it's Welsh and means "Pure".... I told DD I really liked it and she said, well, I like it if you can pair it with something that means "Awesome".... so we looked up the Finnish word for Awesome (dH had a Finnish mom) and the word is "Mahtava"..... So now I'm thinking of naming Babes.... "Nesta Mahtava"..... different or what? *grin* I'm having way too much fun thinking up names for this one!!

Phil- great to hear from you! LOVE the decal btw! I would so love doing things like that but aside form affordability right now the babes will be in my room and I dont want my room looking like a nursery, lol, and then she'll be with the other dd's- 4 and 8 her senior, so :shrug: I try in other ways- but I adore the owl in the tree that is so gorgeous! Glad you are getting things worked out with your dh and yes you sil sounds super jealous, it's cause you're having a baby :roll: wOMEN! Sounds like my sister :haha:

:dohh: Ugh! That would irritate me as well. It really agrivates me when people claim to know God's intentions. Obviously your family hasn't really studied the Bible, or they would know that 'All have sinned and fallen short...' That we are all sinners who can be or are (depending upon where you are in your relationship with Christ) saved by grace, and that God's thoughts are not our thoughts, nor His ways our ways. ARGH! Ok, enough of the sermon... :haha: I'm just glad you avoid that.

AFM - I'm so excited! Yesterday I got a very huge and unquestionable positive on my OPK's! :happydance: I haven't informed DH that we need to BD again. He's thinkin' yesterday was it for a while. Hopefully I won't have to get out :gun: :rofl: I foresee a trip to the park in my kids' future this afternoon. :haha:

Phil - I'm so glad things are better between you and your DH! Praying that he continues to stay open and honest with you and that you both will continue to grow closer emotionally.

I used to struggle with an addiction (eating disorder) that came close to killing me, almost destroyed my marriage, and put my family through hell. It only got better when I realized how bad it was and that there was even a problem. Glad your DH is getting it sorted out. :hugs:

Ok...so here is my FB link if anyone is interested...

Coy...I'm sorry your family is so, well, messed up. Those are some pretty hasrsh things to say. But I will not mention your PG on FB at all. We can just be long time friends from years past! Lol! :haha: How do you keep it from them? I take it you don't see them very often.

Ali...how are you feeling this morning?

I hope everyone else is doing fantastic! :flower:

Hey All.. on the FB topic, I too am keeping my TTC plans off of FB. I already have prying and questioning eyes focused on me. Apparently my evil step-sister is already asking my step-father and my Mom if I'm going to have a baby or adopt. I'm like WTF? When I saw her this summer she asked me if I was thinking about it, and I said that I had been thinking about it, but lied and said quite adamantly that I had NOT made any decisions. So how she got the idea that I was adopting from that conversation I have no idea. Then to bring it up with my mom? ARGH. Then there are my cousins, who gossip like crazy. So I'm like Coy, I'm trying to keep the baby making stuff off FB. When I'm 3-4 months pregnant and know that everything is OK and all that I will change my profile picture to that of the US, and then everyone can know, HEHE! :haha: at that point the rumor mill will go crazy!

Phil - so glad you stopped by to say hi and let us know how you are doing. I think about you a lot and I must say your post made me feel a lot better! Knowing that you and your DH are making headway and that he is opening up to you and you are recapturing some of that closeness you originally shared is priceless :hug: It sounds like your DD has a sense of humor, and why wouldn't you name your next daughter 'PURE AWESOME' that is fantastic, and Nesta Mahtava sounds 'PURE AWESOME' :wohoo:

I love the owl too, the nursery looks great! I have thought about what I want to do for the nursery if/when I get the chance to decorate, and I think I will go with zoo animals (boy) or bugs (girl), if I have one of each, well then I'll have to go with the zoo animals I think. The bug designs I have seen tend to be more girly, where the zoo animals tend to be more unisex. Either way, I want the room to be full of color with lots of things on the wall to capture the babies interest and inspire them.

I understand about keeping things quiet. I am not exactly advertising that we are TTC. But my reasons don't have anything to do with my family not being supportive. I have a HUGE family (9 aunts and uncles and 32 first cousins--and that is just on my dad's side of the family!)... and all of them would like nothing more than to see me and my BF have children. They all know how badly I want more children. I just don't really want anyone to know that I am having a difficult time getting pregnant. I am almost embarrassed by it. :blush: Everyone in my family is really fertile. And here I am "struggling" to get a bun in the oven. :shrug:

When I do get pregnant, I am going to try to keep it to myself as long as I can...but I don't know how long that will be!! I'm sure I will be WAY TOO EXCITED!!

I am also not advertizing on FB that we are ttc. My family knows and are supportive, but I just don't want the people in our congregation to know and be constantly watching for it, or making snide remarks. There is a couple in our church that would like nothing better than to find something to say to us that would be hurtful or spiteful, so I'm just not going there.
