Welcome to 'Trying To Conceive Over 35'

Evening ladies :hi:

I am in some tiny little town in southern PA, almost on the border with West Virginia, in some fleabag hotel, They are the only hotel in about 200 miles that takes dogs and has a room available. So I guess it will suffice. It was $90 too! How can a crappy hotel charge these rates? I have no idea, but I was desperate, it was 10pm and I needed to sleep

Managed to get the cottage cleaned up, packed and on the road by 1:30pm, and have driven 475 miles today. Not bad I guess! I still have 1075 miles to go. Not sure I will make it home tomorrow, as that is a REALLY LONG drive.

I'm 3 DPO now, since my FF chart decided to recalculate, which is good, I agree with it as it is now. I have had really bad lower back pain all day (even before I got behind the wheel), and a little cramping, not bad cramping, but more like twinges. Oh, and I've been kinda irritable! Good thing my doggies can't talk back, or they probably would have been giving me an earful after all the cursing and swearing I did today!

Tracey, that stir fry sounds delish! So does diving too! I have never been diving, because everyone I know is already certified and they don't want to go with me when I get certified :nope: I love swimming and snorkeling though, I find that to be loads of fun! I hope your O happens soon, and make sure you get lots of BD'ing in!!!

Angel, thanks for the wishes, so far so good! I still have a ways to go though.

Twotogo - yikes, that is a lot to spend at the laundromat! $50 would go a long way to having a repair man come and fix it. I love hearing about your inventive ways of BD'ing with a houseful of people, :haha: As long as you get it done :)

Coy - I hope you are relaxing some, and staying away from your crazy neighbors, the sound absolutely

Where did Jess go? I haven't seen here on here in a few days :( we miss you!!!

Oh and one more thing.. I just found out that my best friend in FL is going to be an Aunt times 2. Her sister in law and her sister are both pregnant. They are due in March and April. Now she is starting to think that she would like to have a second which would be really cool! So it looks like there are women getting pregnant everywhere. Now we just need to get some of those vibes and point them at our tummies! :haha:

Well I'm going to see if I can't get some sleep, I have a long drive ahead of me tomorrow.

 :dust:

Ali- bnb says you are online-- are you still awake? :growlmad: You are worse than I am woman! Here I gripe about being tired all the time and then I stay up late  Sounds like you've had a long drive today, I'd say take it easy and just plan on a couple days left...that way you are not tooo pooped when you get home! Especally if you have to go buy food! I think the irritability comes hand in hand with all the stress and hormones  I have been grumpy too but my dh is very understanding and the dog- well, she just stays oughtta my way! :haha: She was being super cute tonight though, dragging her belly thorugh our long grass (I have to mow again ) and trying to tempt me with her chew toy

Today I...didn't do too much :haha: Felt like I did. Oh yeah, I did call a technician and try to get my computer fixed. He actually ended up saving me money, giving me a huge warrenty break, and is sending some new discs to help repair the issue. Here's the funny thing- he tells me it does not look like a hard drive issue (phew!) and then explains why- then transfers me to another tech to order the repair discs. This new tech tells me he thinks the first tech is wrong and would like to know if I would mind if he charges me $65.00 for a new diagnostic on my computer and a $100.00 non-refundable purchase of a new hard drive plus the additional fees to walk me thorugh the steps of installation.

Hmmm...on one side I have a $30.00 fix and on the other side- I get screwed financially. Ummmmm, lemme think it out... WOW! I am amazed HP hires some of these people- do they get a commission or what?! :haha: I finally had to get ruse with him and tell him "Dude- I am not purchasing anything else today! My bank is closed! No more money dude!" lol, finally he just sent the discs

Ali, I agree with Coy. Take a few days and don't wear yourself out. :flower:
Hope you have a safe trip home!

Tracey- the stir fry sounds awesome! ot any really good recipes?

Diving also sounds like tons of fun! My dh is advanced too and I can't even swim yet :nope: lol! MEN!

Fx'd for ov soon  Sounds like you're getting close :)

I don't tend to go to specific recipes, just raid the fridge, chinese leaf, carrot, beansprout, spring onion, chicken or prawns or similar, water chestnuts, I love them, sometimes bits of cabbage and cauliflower florets, even brocolli, anything we've got really.

I have my Open Water certificate, so I can dive down to 18 metres if the fancy takes me, Ian though has his Advanced Open Water certificate and a qualification that means he can dive down to 40 metres, but it would be very rare to dive to that depth in the UK as the visibility isn't that great. He is also going for his DiveMaster certificate, which means he'll be helping out Instructors. I wouldn't be surprised if he went for Assistant Instructor before long too, he really has the bug.

I read a while ago that people who scuba dive are more likely to have boys, apparently its something to do with the pressure. I'm quite happy to have a boy and then he'll have to stop diving when we go for another as I'd love to have one of each! LOL!!!

When we go away on Wednesday, we're going to be 'glamping'. Its at the campsite we've been to before, but we took our tent. When we were there, we noticed some little wooden huts, which just have beds in them. We've booked one of them this time, so its classed as glamorous camping, or glamping. A 'posh' persons camping. Hehe!

Hope everyone is doing ok, not seeing many updates on here.

Come on ladies, TWW stories please.

Im lurking TerriLou! Trying to chill this cycle, probably cause I secretly know it wont be my cycle for a BFP lol. Due AF tomorrow so time will tell.

Nothing to report really, still having some creamy CM but to be honest I think that's just my cycle as I seem to get it whether I'm pregnant or not . Nips are bit sensitive and I'm having abdominal pains/minor cramps on and off the past couple of days but that's about it. I expect my temp to start dropping tomorrow :growlmad:.

Evening everybody else. Ali, take your time going home woman, be safe xo

So, I'm in a real mood today. I just want to cry  . I was so sure I would get a positive on my OPK today. Nope. :nope:
Now I just feel like :hissy: and wondering why every other woman in my family has been able to get pregnant by just looking at their DH's, and why I have to go through so much to get there. :hissy:

Okay, okay, I've thrown my little fit. Wish I could say I feel better now. :hissy:

Hey Twotogo, I hear you!!!!! Fingers crossed its on its way. I know what it feels like when people all around you get pregnant so easily, it can really upset you at times, but it WILL happen to you and it'll be all the more special when it does. :hugs:

Angel- (low whistle) you are at 98.6 F temps! That sure sounds like a bfp temp to me :happydance: Are you going to test soon? :test: You are 11 dpo or thereabouts, I was able to detect bfp at 10 dpo on a frer….Fx’d!!

TwoTo Go
- what has your cm looked like around ov time? Do you use preseed at all? I looked at your chart and FF is not showing an ov date- what dpo do you think you are on? And totally normal to get irritable! This is the place to rant, that’s why we’re here :hugs:

TerriLou- How are ya?

Ali- where are you now?

Jess- :nope: haven’t heard form you, but I am going to go stalk your chart :haha:

Phil- :hi:

Marathongirl- Hello if you ever pop on here!

Georgiabelle- :hi:

Alin- :hi:

AFM
- took the girls to the library toay and I have no shame admitting it totally kicked my butt! :haha: Something about child outings is exhausting! Now I have the living room all to myself and no tv and it’s nice and quiet :shhh: for a few minutes anyway. Getting ready to do my school assignments for the day. Oh yeah, and eat ice cream…

I keep waking up with extreme back muscle pain and stiffness. Makes me feel like an old rickety person  There I am all rickety and trying to roll off the side of the bed with my belly in the way :haha: My legs feel like they have been cramped all night  Probably because I skipped my calcium/magnesium yesterday. It is a really thick drink  and always makes me feel nauseas so I skipped it  Naughty me…lol.

Oh, btw, quandary!! :help: Lol, my dh and I are scheduled to be deposed by our opposing court in a few weeks. Well the way my belly is growing I am wondering what in heck to wear. My dh thinks anything that can be classified as a business suit is acceptable. Not in my case :nope: lol! I brought a suit out of the bedroom and asked him if I should donate or throw away and he exclaims “Hey! That is NICE!” That wasn’t the question! :haha: MEN  Anyway it bags on my hips and butt, clenches at the ankle (which makes me look short and chubby) and the top blazer has to be left hanging open which makes me look short and chubby  He says “niiiiice” LOL! R U Serious??! Anyway, I certainly will not. Since it is not court and is just a deposition how would black stretchy slacks, closed toe heeled boots (also black leather), A deep blue stretchy tank top, and a black cover like a blazer or sweater over the top sound? Acceptable??

Or I have a bright red maternity top I could pair with black slacks and my boots, bit it is a cap sleeve so I may need a cover over it… Hmmm…decisions decisions….

Coy, I haven't o'd yet. Last month it was on cd 23, but I got a positive on cd 21 & 22. I had EWCM on O Day. So far it's just been kind of milky-watery, but not very much. Right now I'm on cd 22.

I think the black stretchy slacks, boots, blue tank, and black blazer sounds good.

TwoToGo - I hope you O soon! Maybe you are just a little late this month? I certainly hope so

Angel - your chart looks good, as do your symptoms, I hope you get a BFP soon!

Tracey - double yum on the stir fry, I do the same thing, whatever is in the fridge! :haha: I sometimes put baby corn in mine and bamboo shoots. Love those! Maybe some day I'll learn to dive, I really hope it happens before I'm too old.

Coy - I think the black stretchy pants with the blue tank and a blazer sounds just fine, and the boots will kick it up a notch. You are pregnant and currently not working, they can't expect you to have a wardrobe full of business clothes! If I were you I'd wear something from your closet, and save the $$ for the baby!

AFM - Had a temp jump this morning, but I'm not sure if its accurate, as I had to get out of bed and find my thermometer! So it might be elevated. I am finally in FL, but still 4 hours from home. I just couldn't make those last 4 hours. It would have put me home around midnight or slightly after that. I drove for 13 hours today, so another 4 just seemed to be a bit much. Other than still being irritable and having funky cramps I don't really have anything else to report. The hotel is WAY nicer today and ironically enough, is about the same price! I am by no means staying in 5 star resorts, but this one seems to be a huge step up! I'm in St. Augustine which is just south of Jacksonville, and 260 miles away from home. I figure if I go 80 mph, I should make it in about 4 hours with a pit stop along the way.

Have a good night everyone, and the next time you hear from me I will finally be home! Oh and I ordered some IC HPTs and they should be there when I get home, I can't wait to start :test: POAS!!

Hey All, I keep meaning to tell you that I took baby aspirin this past month up until O, and my lining was AWESOME. By the time I O'd it was 13.2 and it was a triple lining. Apparently the triple is what all women should strive for as it offers the best chance of implantation. I didn't have one last month, and I didn't have one the month before either, and I've never been told that it was a triple before this, but then again I was never trying to get pregnant :haha: So I don't know if the baby aspirin helped make it nice and thick and triple lined, but it certainly does appear to have had an effect.

If I am not successful this month I will try it again next month up until O, or maybe a few days post O. Definitely stopping by 7DPO or there abouts.

Terrible thing has happened. Our only "good" neighbors...they have been married for , like, 25 or 30 years and have two sons...the other day I jaw the husband shopping with some other woman and she kept squeezing his butt cheek.....now he never comes home and we see him doing these drive by's with her in his truck past his house where the wife and children still live. I saw his wife today and she looks so sad. Man, some men are jerks....She's better off w/o, right? Anyway- women are so strong everywhere! I think God made it a prerequisit to womanhood.....

TwoToGo & Ali-- thanks for the advice! I will prob go with that outfit if it still fits me :haha: Just gotta find the right jacket....Ali, yes, I def plan on not shopping anything, I have seriously considered jeans for my everyday wear but I can't figure 30 bucks into my budget right now when that'd cover 3 cases of diapers! Especially where I won't be wearing them in just a few short weeks anyways  And heck yeah- thanks to my sucky former employer (lol) I have been out of work so I can't afford it. They can put up with me as is :haha: when I went to the mediation early this spring I was just a few weeks prego and smack in middle of ms...but I wore a seriously nice grey and black suit. This time around

Ali- so glad you found a nice hotel for the night this time! Secure with deadbolt I hope  And YAY!for IC hpt's! Can't wait for you to poas and :test: lol....let's see, you are...5 dpo so in about another 5 days? Do you know the mIu of your hpt's?

Interesting about the baby aspirin affect on lining! If I try for another baby after this I will give that a shot just to help out...

Okay, after my little fit thowing yesterday, :haha: I think I may have gotten a positive on an opk. I had run out of my IC's, so I went to Walmart and bought the cheapest thing I could. It's blue dye, so I really don't know how reliable they are. I am attaching a pic to see what you guys think. The IC was taken at 10:00 a.m., the middle blue dye was taken at 2:00 p.m., and the bottom was taken at 8:00 p.m. Is the middle one positive, or is it dark enough?
For some reason, I'm thinking that the surge should have lasted longer, but then, what do I know
Let me know what you think.

Sorry the pic is a bit blurry. I just have a camera on my cheap little phone.

TwoToGo-

I copied your image and did a negative test on it and it def looks positive! The middle image right line is def darker than the left line so I am thinking that is your surge. Surges can be very brief and very easy to miss! I never got a positive more than once during a cycle excpet for after my bfp then they kept coming for a few days. I'd say you are set to ov anywhere from now to tomorrow morning so get bd'ing! :haha:

The right line is the control line...

So, I mentioned :sex: to DH... and he says "Um, can it wait until tomorrow?" ](*,)
I told him tomorrow may be too late.
Right now he's snoring in his recliner. We are supposed to leave in about 30 minutes to go out of town for the rest of the day.

He better wake up and have a bit more energy when we get home! :haha:
