Welcome to 'Trying To Conceive Over 35'

Marathongirl- How are you feeling today? Dpo 8 correct? Counting dowwwnnnn! :) I got my fx'd for you!

Philomena, I was looking back on one of your earlier posts and it is important to be careful not to dehydrate while opk testing especially as water is so important for good cm. Kindo f a crooked path to walk, I know, I usually abstain during my test hours and then just totally load out on water after. LOL, I am crazy, right?!:haha:

AFM-

3dpo today (at my best guess). My temp this morning was 97.9, so still up the .4 :shrug: So hoping that the 27th was my Ovulation day.:growlmad:My body can be sooOOooo irritating :haha:

I am doing well thanks. Still feeling a little bit dizzy and thingy this am. My temp was 98.0 so still up there. I think I will test on Fri the 3rd which will be 12 dpo if I am still feeling the same. Yay!! You definitely o'd if your temp has been up for 3 days in a row. What have your temps been. Has it been the same all 3 days? We are all in this together. I'm really praying that this is our month girls!!:winkwink:

LOL, you are too funny. Twingy. There- I did it lol!:haha:

Your symptoms sure sound a bit strange for regular cycle, hope this means bfp!

AFM- my temps got me puzzled. I know we are supposed to disregard one here or there as a fluke but...here;s what they have looked like:

23rd 97.6, 24th 97.6, 25th 97.6, 26th 97.9 (day of my positive opk digi), 28th 97.5 (suspected O day)

29th 97.9, 30th 97.9

We dtd 21, 23, 24, 27, 29

So the 3 97.9's that I got were the 2 days post O (suspected) and the day of mypeak LH.
Not sure if LH causes a spike or not? Anyway, I am puzzled. I went back to sleep after testing the 97.9 this morning early and when I woke up again tested and it was 98.1  So guess I can only wait for tomorrow. I am hesitant to test lh again as I am worried those cheap strips are lying to me

Soooo... the story is that you are 2dpo as you don't count the day you o. You have 2 days at 97.9 these are your 2days past ovulation. That is a good sign because if your temp is still up tomorrow it means that you o'd!!:happydance: It loks like your timing was good as well so.....fx'd for you :winkwink:
As for the temp being higher when you tested later that is why you test at the same time every day. As you can see your temp goes up the longer you are in bed. The temp you had the day of your pos opk I would say is a random one that you can disregard. I had that this cycle as well exactly I had 97.8 that day of my pos opk then it went down the next day(day of o) then back up after o:thumbup: Does all of that make sense?:winkwink:

Yes, I changed my personal chart as far as dpo..thank you! I did get another positive opk strip today, not sure why. I am assuming I just had superb surge to begin with:shrug:

This is all interesting though, I love learning these new tricks to figure out my body, it helps immensly!

So, yay, I o'd:happydance:Now, just the tww. :)

What do your temps look like now that you are 8dpo?

My Temps seem to range between 98.0-98.3 always. When I had my last BFP I had a 98.4 in there. To be honest I don't look too much into temps because when I had my MMC at 12 weeks I was still temping every second day(i know obsessed) and my temps were still high even though the baby's heart had stopped beating. I thought that if your temps were still high that it meant you wouldn't have a miscarriage but apparently not. Anyways When I get my BFP I will stop temping because it can cause a lot of stress. I think it is a great tool to tell if you've o'd and to make sure you have a sufficient lp but that's it. There are so many variations if you look at pregnancy charts, some with really high temps and others with lower temps:shrug:

I know it can cause a lot of stress. I thought that too that when I get my BFP I will stop charting everything except what the doctor may need. I am not remembering what "lp" stands for at the moment, but I am trying:haha:

I tested for pregnancy sooo many times when I was pregnant last and thought that would be a good indication too but I had mc'd and didn't know it yet. I have to admit there was a point in there when I got really worried and I wonder if we as mothers just "know" you know? I do remember the day I knew I was pregnant- I was getting dressed one morning and patted my very flat tummy (at the time lol) and said "Hi baby!" I surprised myself and went and got a pregnancy test and sure enough! So I think we know.

It's all this other stuff that can get confusing lol!:haha:

I am really hoping this is your month! (mine too!)

Marathongirl- 9dpo!:happydance:

Yay! At 0600 my temperature was at 98.0. Phew- I was worried it would drop back down. :)

Yay!!!:happydance: That's great so now you know for sure that you o'd and now it's the waiting game. Oh yeah lp stands for luteal phase. It's good to temp so that you know how long your temp stays up. Ideally they say that your luteal phase should be at least 11-12 days.
I think you are right about knowing. I knew last time I got my BFP as well. When I tested it was positive instantly! I had a worried feeling the whole time that something was wrong. I tried not to but... This time I vow that I will try to relax and be more positive:wacko: LOL. The operative word being try!

AFM- Temp was 98.3. Feeling really tried last few days and last night dreamt that I was preggo with a big belly. I hope it is our month:hugs:

I hope so too! You know it was wierd with my last pregnancy I didn't feel the same either. I just felt like it all wasn't really real you know? Not like my 2 previous pregnancies. Got my fx'd :)

So your temp stays up during lp then drops back down? Great to know then I can get ahandle on all of my cycle days. :) Thanks!

I know it feels good to have a handle on your cycle. I find it very empowering. Again with the drop everyone is different, some people's temp drops before af and some after it has started. I often get a few spikes in the first few days of af for some reason but it always goes back down before o. I love being able to share any info I have collected over this journey. I tell you we will all be fertility specialists when we are done with this ttc journey:thumbup: I know it will happen for us:hugs:

Well, another strange day of testing. I am at 3dpo and my temp was at 98.0 this morning but I am still getting strong positives on my opk's:shrug: This is the first cycle I have had such long strong lh levels.

I wouldn't worry about it. You know you o'd and you bd'd on the right days:winkwink:

Fertility Specialists--what an idea!:haha: You are right of course, after all the studying and practical experience:wacko: we'd be shoe-ins lol!

For sure:winkwink: by the way where do you live? I am in CAnada on the West Coast.
Off to Vancouver tomorrow as dh has a follow up with his surgeon. He had knee surgery in Nov a couple of weeks after our mc. Do you believe I got him to bd the day after:blush: I didn't want to miss an opportunity:wacko: Fx'd for us:hugs:

"Do you believe I got him to bd the day after I didn't want to miss an opportunity"

O my gosh are you serious? LOL! That's too funny, but hey- what other choce did he have, right?!:haha:

I live in Idaho in the U.S.--it gets cold here and we are seriously considering moving to a warmer location:) I absolutly worshipped this last summer, I laid in the sun every chance I got, now it's back to Brrrrr :) I grew up in Alaska though, so not that bad!

P.S. I have all my fx'd for you!!!Can't wait til Friday (?) are you testing 11dpo or?.....
Wow you're really not that far. It is cold here but I am close to the ocean so it moderates the climate quite a bit. We had snow 2 weeks ago:wacko:
I would be living in Hawaii if I lived in the States:thumbup:
I will test Fri or Sat depending on what I feel. I can usually tell and won't test if I don't think:shrug:

Hello Ladies, (and welcome to those I haven't met before)
I have been consistently temping higher since my CD10 which I think is a good sign. It dipped that morning(CD10) and has been climbing ever since. That day is also the day after I got the "almost as dark as" OPK, so I think you guys might have been right and I was catching it on the way up or down as all other signs seem to be pointing to having O'd!
I am very excited for all of us! I am 4DPO right now (as to best guess) and I am feeling way calmer than I did last cycle. I am really, really glad I was temping and OPKing this cycle, because I think I've been missing my O day. If I always O on CD10 or thereabouts, then I've been missing it thinking it should be CD12-14.... impossible to get preggers if you've already O'd!! SO I am feeling very optimistic about this cycle. We shall see what Mother Nature has in store.... I'm hopeful it will be a healthy baby! *grin* I wish this for all of us!
So my plan is to not even try testing until the 7th or 8th at the earliest. I'm feeling calm and not freaky this month. It feels good to feel good! LOL
how's everyone else dealing with the TWW??
