coy im here sorry keep going missing in action been feeling a bit sorry for myself lately and keep breaking down when on my own,had a short cycle last month with only 8 day lp and this month am on cd 14 today which i think is ov day had loads of ewcm for past 3 days and today is only chance we got to bd so not holding out hope for this month either,i totally get you with families me and my sis used to be really close and we have hardly spoken in last 3 years,we went to a family party in october and she never even said hello and had my 2 yr old with me who she has never seen and she lives 10 minutes up the road from me.

ali am so gutted for you hun i was sure this was your month i have been lurking but not posting lol,i also think your brother is being a jerk and think he is just jealous.

phil so cant wait to hear your announcement and see pics of your baby girl,you and coy making me so jealous with your pink bundles lol.

Great to hear from you Alin! It is so strange how families are in some ways. Maybe you need to make the first move to get closer to your sister? Maybe you can mend that fence?

My brother is often a little abrasive and hot headded, he says things he doesn't mean and we often fight. This time he just hit below the belt, and right when I was most vulnerable. He is also one of the sweetest and gentlest men I know and is capable of so much love. He will come around and I think it helped that I reminded him that we are a family and he can be as much a part of this child's life as he wants.

Now what to do about this cycle? sample #2 or BnB man, or random guy? I just don't know? Not sure where I would find random man? There aren't catalogs of them

Too bad about your sister, sounds like you've done what you can. Maybe she is jealous of you and your family? Who knows why family is so odd?

Ali, so glad to read that your brother apologised. My brother is quite hot headed too but doesn't do the apology bit, just gets on like nothing happened. Coy yes my sis in law is a real piece of work and she knows now I won't try anymore and I made it subtly obvious last time I bumped into her.


Well my body is still playing games. I only had a spot earlier after some nooky but nothing more :-\ . I had a little nosey, sorry tmi, and nothing at my cervix waiting so I'm just confused. Cervix low and soft as well just to mess with my mind more.

I just wish AF would hurry up and put me out of my misery. I'm trying do hard not to think 'could I be?' but it's so difficult. With my history as well I need to know asap so I can start further meds.


Come on god, save me some stress .

I mean after hsg and all this you are clean and clear as a whistle, right? Now with Iui all you do is wait for follies then trigger, correct? I'd say go for it! The last Iui could have been bad or blockages in your tubes...? Then again, you might get super, uh, horny and jump random guy! In any case Yay!

Coy - yes that is what I'm thinking too. Why not use #2 it is just sitting there and I've paid $750 for it! The only drawback is I'm not sure whether I can get the endometrial biopsy done in time? I wish we could do it tomorrow (then it would be covered under 2012 for insurance purposes). I'm not sure how that works and whether I can do it so soon before an IUI? So many questions. Also, I don't know what the risks are to just using the immune therapy they suggest without actually knowing if I need it? I have heard some of those tests take weeks to come back. So maybe I should wait? Or maybe they can just prescribe it? IDK. I'm sure you can feel my right now! So many questions and I need my FS to help answer them! At least we're working on the plan, and that makes me feel a little less helpless, and more in control! I CAN do this and I WILL be a mom, it is not a question of if, but a question of WHEN!!!

I haven't told anyone in real life so I thought i would come here and see if it's a good substitution. I was using the CBE monitor but stopped last month because I swear it made me crazy! I'd get the thumbs up from it and it was like I was possessed "DH in me NOW!" I'm usually pretty reasonable and stress free but the whole TTC is really stressful and making me nuts. I've tried to relax and if it happens great, if not, that's ok too, but that is hard to do after I've actually thought about what our child might be like. Anyway, before I get too chatty, I just wanted to say hi and thanks for being out there.

Sounds like you understand the whole ov process but maybe start bd'ing about 5 days before? At least during the surge so is waiting? do you chart bbt at all? glad to have you here btw!! I am 38 and just gave birth

Hey! I'm 40 too! It's a daunting task, but many women are successful at 40! As Grey Eyes said, you want to get the up there before ovulation, so if you track the cycle days you normally ovulate, say day 14, then you can start having sex 4-5 days before (every other day) until 1-2 days after surge. I like the Clear Blue Easy Digital ones, nothing better than seeing the happy face! Also some women will surge for more than one day so make sure you extend your sex past the surge by 1-2 days.

There are supplements you and your DH if BF can take to improve egg/sperm quality. Things like CoQ10, tapioca, maca root, royal jelly, and vitamin D all improve egg quality. I'm not as famiar with how to improve sperm quality but I'm sure you could google it.

I'm working with a fertility Dr, and have been doing things that way, mostly because I'm single and using donor sperm. I'm not sure whether you have considered seeing a specialist to find out if there is anything wrong. I know that most insurances cover infertility testing, so you might want to consider that. They can do blood work, chech your uterus and tubes and check your DH's sperm for starters.

There are plenty of options to improve your fertility, and get pregnant at 40, it just depends on what you feel most comfortable with! I even tried acupuncture!

Good morning, everyone!
I woke up at 4 and couldn't get back to sleep for a little bit.... then I totally zonked out and have had some crazy dreams! Like a row of oak trees and one was on fire... I went inside a hotel because I needed to 'check in' for a conference or something and I reported the tree on fire, but nobody seemed to care. Then I was trying to find my room and needed to get a bottle of caramel syrup to put on top of some sort of sweet dessert square, and kept getting held up by others trying to find THEIR rooms..... crazy dreams!! ....now it's 10am Calgary time and I'm pouting because I slept in past my game start time! My favourite football team (soccer for my U.S. friends) is Liverpool and I've woken up in time to catch the second half, but it's 3-0 for my team and I've missed all these amazing goals!! Ah, well, at least the score is in our favour!!

It's the only sport I watch on TV, and one day I hope to get to see them in person....

So I'm still as I was! Babes hasn't shown herself yet..... I'll be sure to let you guys know first!!

today would be a good day to go into labour- my two favourite midwives are working, my doula is available, my best friend is off work, and it's sunny outside!

I'm 37 and have been trying for about 2 years. My cycles are very irregular, some have been about 30 days, but then, others nearer 60 or even 90. Our Doctors here won't look at anything infertility wise until you have been trying for 2 years. I had a miscarriage in 2011, so they count it from that cycle, which is really frustrating. All they say is "Well, it happened, so it'll happen again!"

Fingers crossed for you, here's hoping 2013 is our year for everyone in this forum.

Hi there, welcome to the forum! This is a lovely bunch of women here!
I'm 41 and my DH and I were diagnosed with unexplained fertility after going through all the tests, pokes, and prods etc. we decided to go the IUI route and were lucky enough to get pregnant on our first try! So it CAN happen!
I am currently waiting for this little babe to make an appearance as her due date is Thursday! This is a great place to find information, have a rant, feel supported, and celebrate or cry.....
