Welcome to 'Trying To Conceive Over 35'

Hi Ladies,
CD 8 today and I've been using 1st Response OPK Digital. I am anticipating a positive sometime in the next week... thank god for a clear yes or no answer. I drove myself nuts trying to see if the line was 'as dark or darker' than the test line.
As soon as we get the positive for a surge, then next day we go in for our first IUI try. We've been diagnosed with "unexplained infertility" which just means that he is fine, and I am fine and they don't know why we aren't conceiving.
How's everyone else doing? anyone else around CD8 or CD9?

Hi everyone! I'm new to this forum, actually new to anything like this. I'm 36 and ttc #1 off and on for 6 years. Just looking for some support (seems all the ppl I know have no trouble ttc) and some advice on things to do differently. I'm really starting to feel hopeless and it is not a good feeling. Thanks

Hi Mells, and welcome. I feel a little strange saying that as I'm probably the other newest person here, but I can tell you there are some really great ladies on this forum!

Marathongirl- where are you?

Hello!!:flower: Had a crazy weekend with the kids but I'm back:wacko: Hope you are feeling ok. When do you go for your next US? Is it this week. I want to know all about it:thumbup:
AFM- Officially 2dpo and just happy to be here. It seemed so weird this time around as I o'd on cd15 instead of cd13 and I thought for a bit I might not O at all  WE dtd at all the right times so we will see:shrug:

marathongirl- yay! Glad to "see" you again! Hope you had a fun weekend ! And yay for 2dpo---now we just wait (drumming my fingers) I did check your chart yesterday- nice spike!

AFM- actually I didn't have an u/s scheduled...justa regular check-up with my OB Doctor. Well that was scheduled for the 11th but then we found out that dh have to go out of town on the 11th so I called doc to see if we could change the schedule. They said sure- come in now. So we all four of us piled into the car and shot over there. And then it got scary- doc couldn't find the hb. He tried and tried until we were all getting grey hairs. Finally he scheduled an emergency u/s and told us hopefully the baby is just hiding behind one of your blood vessels and your hb is masking the sound. So we went for u/s. The tech was the same one who discovered my mc back in November and as soon as he saw me he got all pale and sympathetic- which didn't help. Anyway dh and I were trying not to freak out and trying to put on happy faces for our little girls. But- as soon as the tech set the wand to my belly there was a beautiful perfect little baby with a pounding 147 hb! We were soooo relieved! And (s)he was waving arms around in there like crazy :haha: Sooo cute, and such a relief! Even the tech started to breath again, lol. Baby measures a perfect 12 weeks 1 day :) So we are happy and exhausted from the stress! I am excited now, as I am officially in second tri :happydance:

Wow soooo excited for you:flower: I can't even imagine how stressful that was for you guys. So glad that everything is ok:thumbup: That must have been very nice for your girls to see as well. I sure can't wait for that!! What a relief and congrats for being in your second tri:happydance::happydance:

Yes glad to be in tww. Feeling fine and trying not to get overly thinking either way. I know it will happen when it's meant to happen:flower: Hope you have a great day. now maybe you can have a little chocolate or something:shrug::hugs:

LOL! Funny you should mention chocolate! :haha: As soon as we got home I celebrated with a fudgesicle  I bought a dove bar with toffee chips in it. Now it's getting cold in the fridge and I am just looking at it :cloud9: lol...

Also- the girls did have fun seeing the baby but when I asked my 7 year old if she thought it was cool to see her tiny sybling on tv she thought for a moment and responded "meh. I am more excited about babies being born and holding babies". :haha: Kids.

Btw- your temps are looking aweosme!! :thumbup! Nice additional spike this morning!

How cute is that:flower: I can see her point it would be hard to grasp just seeing the baby on the screen.I'm sure she will be a great big sister:thumbup:

Hi Ladies! How goes it with the forum??
I had to come on and share my excitement because nobody else can really understand it, right? I surged today and so I'm very excited! I have to say, I was getting a little crazy and didn't want to miss it, so I was using 5 OPK's at various times of the day. 3 were First Response digital, one was Clearblue digital and one was Clearblue with the lines. First Response hasn't picked up the surge yet, but have one more to do this afternoon. I got a definite positive with the regular Clearblue lines and a Happy Face with the digital! I did another digital just to see and it was another happy face! So maybe Clearblue is more sensitive? It is one of the ones my doc recommended. They didn't say anything about 1st response. So glad I picked up a Clearblue digital with the Happy Face! So easy to see it!
I know I must seem way over excited, but I wasn't sure I was ovulating before, and now all signs are pointing to everything going as planned... we go in tomorrow morning for our IUI and then I am officially in the TWW!
Feeling good about it this month, Ladies!
Grey Eyes, I hope your babydust sticks to me this month!!
Phil.

Phil-

I am excited for you! :happydance: I had awesome luck with the clearblue easy digitals...the same with the smiley face :) I also tried first response- and they were accurate but I didn't like them because oyu can buy 20 strips and they come with the reader...after you get a first positive the reader automatically shuts off and will not come back on---that way you have to buy a whole new box if you want to use the other leftover strips to check yfor later surges :growlmad: Anyway, I am excited to hear how the IUI goes tomorrow--keep us updated :)

Oh yeah- take this with you :dust: :dust: :dust: :dust: :dust: :dust: :dust: :dust: :dust: :dust: :dust: :dust::dust: :dust: :dust: :dust: :dust: :dust: :dust: :dust: :dust: :dust: :dust: :dust: :dust: :dust: :dust: :dust:

I'm new to this - hello ladies !!!! I'm 38 and ttc with my gorgeous fiancee. I have a 15 year son already who will always be my baby boy , but I've been longing to have another baby for a long time. Had the mirena coil in for three years and had t removed mid feb of this year. Had no bleed or period but had positive opk's beginning of march. Had lots of pregnancy symptoms but constant bfn's and was starting go potty thinking my bits were'nt working :-(

Had a period last week and although I hate to see it , I've never been so pleased to have a period !!! Felt like a big weightbhad been lifted off my shoulders that my bits were working again.

Hopefully this month , I'll have a normal cycle and that it won't be long until my wish comes true...........

Sending lots of baby dust and lovelies to all of you xxxxxxx

Phil- I am excited for you today! Hope to get an update soon  Keep us all posted! :dust::dust::dust::dust::dust:

Marathongirl- nice high temps today

Thanks. I try not to get too excited about my temps as I have had many a good looking chart and nothing???
How are you today? How was your chocolate? I have a question for you. Do you think the fact that I eat the odd bit of chocolate (I'm talking like 2 little squares ) would affect things because of the caffeine? It's such a small amount and it's milk chocolate which has less caffeine:shrug:Of course I don't drink any coffee or tea. Just wondering your thoughts on this?? Have a great day:hugs:

Fx'd for you Philomena:hugs:
