1: to get rest by lying down; especially: SLEEP
2: to cease from action or motion : refrain from labor or exertion
3: to be free from anxiety or disturbance
4: to sit or lie fixed or supported <a column rests on its pedestal>

Babywhisperer- sounds A-Typical for first tri, exhaustion is your constant buddy Once you hit second tri you will start to feel "normal" again Thanks for finding me on FB again Yay! How is work for you now? Hopefully you are getting some peace in it all.

Sams- where are you? Can't wait to hear from you again!

Chantal - I am so hopeful for you, I hope you and dh get your soon, either way it happens!

Well, Ali are you home yet?! So excited, yay! 2WW! I am thinking I am 2WW also...yesterday I got an almost positive on OPK then today I got a for-sure positive...I will post a pic for opinions!

Hi Ladies.

I'm home now and resting and feeling pretty great!
The 2 embryos thawed and plumped up and were in fabulous shape! One of them looked like a sea turtle.. I'm having a turtle! LOL

Now I'm on bed rest until Friday morning. Grey Eyes.. don't you worry I have resting covered! I bought magazines, and books and movies to help pass the time

I'm going to update my profile picture with my embryos. See if you can see the flipper of the sea turtle I'm the one on the right : haha:

UPDATE: Actually now they both look like they have a tiny head and a flipper. LOL!
I think it is the trophoblast that is the flipper. It eventually turns into the placenta.

That is awesome news Ali that your FET went well and that your were in perfect shape! That is the best news I have heard this week! I don't think they look like turtles, they look like perfect embryos to me!! Great pic! Glad you are relaxing. Visualize them snuggly implanting in your uterus!! I'm praying for your little ones

Yes!!That is a strong positive opk Coy!! Aeryn is so cute!

I am in the 2ww too but dh and I only bd'd on 5th and 8th May and I saw ewcm on the 6th and 7th so I think we missed the window. I didn't get a postitive opk from the 3rd-6th and since that was cycle day 16 I figured I was going to ovulate superlate and dh was on call and was very tired anyway.

coy how is your gorgeous baby girl and her big sisters?

AFM still ttc been 2 years now with no luck finally plucked up the courage and saw dr tonight been putting it of as didn't think would get any help with having 5 boys and my age but how wrong was I. He said there is no reason why we cant investigate and not to worry about menopause as i'm still having regular monthly cycles so that's not an issue.
Got home and 1/2 hour later got call from dr to say he had arranged for me to have bloods done cd 2 and 17 next cycle (could have done this cycle but have just been put on medication for Bursitis in my shoulder so doesn't want to jeopardise any pregnancy)when we have results will then refer us to a fertility specialist so all in all am very happy at the outcome.

Alin.... lovely to hear from you!!!!!!!!!!!!! I had often wondered if I had missed something about where you were with the TTC thing. Good luck regarding the FS, I hope you get some answers



BW.... oh the joys of first trimester sound as if they are hitting , good news but as a fellow sufferer just coming out the other side I hope you dont get it too bad . Just listen to you body is the best advice I can give xoxo

Well I surged this morning. We did the insem about 15 mins ago. Im laying on my back with my feet up typing on my kindle. Going to work after i rest for a bit...baby dust

Hope the personals didnt sound rushed ladies, I tend to write in summary sometimes or I know I'd be on here all day


AFM.... I had my booking in appointment at my hospital yesterday. This is a different hospital than where I had my DS as it is linked to my RMC. My appointment was 2 hours, and that didnt include waiting . I was well impressed with how thorough they were being, caring and cautious because of my history.

And I am in happy shock because at the moment all is looking perfect . Bubs is actually measuring 4 days ahead . My septum seems to be disappearing, apparently some can get pushed away depending on what formation they take but they are obviously going to monitor this just in case. Baby was wriggling around like mad, stretching his/her legs and I commented that I could feel the bubbles from week 13 and she commented that with legs that long she could well believe it!


The OB who will be delivering me due to my history has told me that I will be induced at 39 weeks at the latest (beginning November). This is to control stopping the clexane and blood clotting risks but in addition women with my history are known to be a high risk for a mature placenta (I didnt know this bit). This is the first I have heard about mature placentas so I need to do a bit of research to get clued up. They are going to monitor me a lot more closely after 20 weeks to keep an eye on things so I know I am in good hands.


The MW completing the scans was playing with a new scanner and she really felt for me with my history so I got loads of pics. Here are a few of the better ones

Chantal that's awesome you're family is coming to visit. Seeing my parents just makes everything better! I agree with Angel, keep up the bding, you are more fertile after a mc...my bff conceived 2 cycles after hers.

Angel I love the scan!! How many weeks are you? It sounds like they are on top of things for you. Isn't it a huge load off to have confidence in your doctor! It makes a huge difference to limit that stress factor in an already stressful process. You could feel baby wiggling at 13 weeks!!! Omg! I'm 8w3d today and have my 1st appt with a new ob in a week. My friend had a test at 9 weeks called Sequenome which tests for trisomy 13,18, 21 and for the Y chromosome. She knew she was having a girl that early! I wonder if my Dr could do that test. A friend of mine had a trisomy 13 baby and what she is going through breaks my heart. How are you feeling now? It's weird I get waves of nausea, then it passes, then it comes back. Is that normal?

Coy, the baby of yours is a cutie! And so happy too!! How's school, dd's and dh? Sorry about the cyber-mess...I hope it's over. Do you have a secure internet connection at home? I have heard of people pulling in front of people's homes to get info while they are online.

Thank you for the welcome back ladies,been missing in action as using mouse and keyboard aggravates my shoulder so try to surf in short bursts,we are still decorating due to carpet shop ordering wrong carpet and having to reorder,it only came into stock yesterday so 2 boys are in my room in bunk beds,other 2 in there room and I'm downstairs on mattress with 2 yr old so hopefully can get carpets fitted at weekend so I can have my room back.

Ali glad everything went well those embryos look awesome,fx for that bfp.

Angel great news you getting fab care and lovely scan pics how far are you now.

Chantal great that your parents are coming to visit I'm lucky as my parents only live 10 minutes away,also it's very true you are more fertile after a mc,I conceived on 2nd cycle after my 1st mc and 3rd cycle after my 2nd mc,good luck Hun.

It's really funny that I saw turtles as I had just been talking to my friend about this artist that makes vibrant paintings of turtles and fish and other Floridian sea animals. So it must have been on the brain. I was thinking how cute it would be to decorate the nursery with these pieces of art. Then my new painting I did last night would fit right in!

Babywhisperer I have heard of Sequenome it's also called MaterniT21. However I would not believe the test 100 %. My cousin conceived her daughter at age 29 and after amnio was told her baby was a trisomy 21 baby. They advised on termination. She and her husband refused and said they would love their baby nomatter what. Well their little girl is perfectly healthy!! She doesn't have trisomy. She is autistic. So the test picked up something different about her but she is a normal healthy child. My cousin is so thankful that she didn't listen to the doctors. Of course if the test says everything is fine then you can have peace of mind.
Hope your nausea is only for a couple more weeks

Angel congrats on second trimester! Lovely scan pics. I showed my dh and he said that is what our baby would have looked like now.

Nice to see you back Alin3boys It took me 3 years to get a bfp after 1st miscarriage so I am not holding my breath.

No we did both iui yesterday. 14 hours apart. Got the surge yesterday morning and i need to send the shipper back this morning UPS. It only stays frozen in the shipper 7 days. So im glad we finally got the smiley yesterday.

Where is everyone

I'm 2dp5dt and officially off bedrest YAY!

I have a busy day planned, taking the doggies to the spa, then I have acupuncture and then some shopping, then I'm going to get my hair cut, car washed and finish up with a pedicure

So last night I felt some pinching where I think my uterus is, and I'm really hoping that was a sign of good things! Right now I feel as if my uterus is plumb, not painful, but I can feel it. Normally about this time my lower back starts to hurt and my uterus feels like its dropping out of me as it prepares for AF. I won't be able to test until Sunday or Monday. So another 2-3 days of limbo.

I sure hope you are all right and that it is my turn!
