Welcome to 'Trying To Conceive Over 35'

Hello Mellly! Happy hump day to you :)
Ali and I are both waiting on beta results

Hello Ladies,
it is so good to see so many bfp's!
-for those still waiting, I'd just like to point out that every single lady on here has been where you are.... miracles DO happen! It's a hard grind when the disappointment comes monthly, but when you hold your baby in your arms (no matter 'how' he/she gets there) it will all be worth it! When they look up at you with love and pure baby sweetness, all the struggles melt away and you are left with the most brilliant sense of purpose on the planet..... :dust: to each of you!!

AFM, we are about to teethe in this house! three massive bumps can be easily felt under The Wee Babe's gums...... she's not been too fussy, though that may change once they start actually cutting through!

Her favourite activity right now is the Jolly Jumper! It is the best thing we own right now! Here is the most 'in focus' photo I can catch these days!

I hope this finds my BNB ladies well today.... the forecast here is for rain, but after the rain, my garden will start to sprout, so there's always something good to look forward to!

Keep well, ladies! I think of you all the time! [IMG]https://i1305.photobucket.com/albums/s557/PhilomenaBence/blurrylegjumper_zps729b4342.jpg[/IMG]

UGH.. my FS office can be so pig headed!
I go in there all happy and ready to show them my digital positive and they immediately yell at me for testing early and take the wind out of my sails! :growlmad: I'm like you guys are nuts if you think I'm going to wait until Tuesday to get my first BETA! (knowing full well that I went to see my other Dr yesterday :winkwink:)
Then my FS wants to talk to me about IVIg and how important it is to do 4 weeks after the last one. FINE. I'm good with that IF I'M PREGNANT! LOL.
I'm not going to spend $5K on another IVIg unless I am, that is just silly!
Well I just got a call back from my FS office and they were like.. I'm sorry, you are right that makes sense and we're adding the BETA to your bloods today, and want you to come in on Friday as well! :happydance: I guess they realized I had a point! The physician assistant was really funny, she kept warning me that the beta will be low, and I said I'm fine with that, it is early, it should be low! I would be surprised if it was over 40!

So I will get the results of 2 BETAs today! The one from my regular Dr's office and the one from my FS office!!!

Yay! Happy to see the baby photos and can't wait to see the beta tests today. Good Luck.

I'm getting a definite positive OPK today, spoke a bit early two days ago. Today is day 15, so I'm quite pleased with that since I have 35 day cycles. My hubby and I are seeing Paul McCartney tonight (on my bucket list for years), so you better believe that some serious business is going down tonight after I hear "Baby I'm Amazed" live! Hah!

Woohoo! have a blast at the Paul McCartney concert tonight Melly!! And then some awesome bding afterwards

Yesterday's BETA result: 25. Looking at this chart: https://www.betabase.info/showBasicChart.php?type=Single

Shows median at 11 DPO is 24, so I'm right on track!

I should have today's BETA in about 2-3 hours. [-o< that it is higher than 25. I know I can't use it to figure doubling, but I can at least hope that it is higher than 25!

Babywhisperer- your comment " I know it's hard to keeping standing behind the horse only to get kicked"--Wow! Makes sooo much sense!

Angel- do what you have to do to keep you and your babies safe-they depend upon you for that and no-one else will do it. Just try to deal with the rest one thing at a time. Be safe, be smart--you are strong but that doesn't mean it won't hurt :hugs: We are all here for you!

Sams- yes, be done with the dumps! :haha: :friends:

Melly- how are you? Where are you at in your cycle? I am guessing ov in next couple days??

Phil- lol@your blurry pic! :haha: She's full of energy! Hat's off to you, we are teething also.

Ali- way to go on the beta's! Kick some FS aHEM and get some action :happydance: Did you poas this morning? I LOVE seeing pics  fx'd for awesome next beta!

Chantal- did you test or set up a beta??

Phil.. your baby is absolutely beautiful! Can't wait to see more pictures

awww what a cute baby!! and whoohoo for all the ladies doing so well! many congrat!

Im still waiting for by body to do something- Still just that spotting on the 19th and cm on the 20th- no cramps but a little light pink water cm when I wiped just before. bfn on the test I took the other day- I picked up a few from the dollar store so I can test a few times lol- trying to wait till the morn for the next one. My bb's are still swollen and I still have the bright blue veins on my chest and arms, shoulders. At this point I'd be happy with a real af so I can start again. but I cant lie- Im hoping I still have a shot right now. But for now Im going to enjoy everyones happy news here. It warms my heart to see you lovely ladies get blessed! :)

qe.. is it possible that your having implantation spotting and you are just testing too soon?

AFM.. Hmm..
Tuesday Beta: 25
Wednesday Beta: 34

It is doubling at 49.59 hours. So a little under the norm, but not that far off. Plus as I have said.. we can't compare 2 separate labs. I will say though that I was hoping it would be a little higher.. like closer to 40. Oh well... Now I just have to hope that it doubles by Friday!

alicat.. i got a pok surge may 3 and 4.. BD all the right times.. do you think it could be? I know having pcos can take a while to get a bfp- GL on your numbers! I didnt even know alot about charts and numbers and such till I found this site. Half the time Im afraid to comment on post cause I don't always know what's being talked about lol

If you have PCOS, OPK tests are not always accurate. It says so on the box, or at least the CBE box that I have. So you may not be able to tell if you really ovulated when you think you did. It is very possible that you didn't ovulate then but had a surge a few days to a week later. I know that there are several women with PCOS that say they have 2 surges, and the second one actually gets the egg out! So if that is the case, you could have fertilized the egg closer to May 10-15, and are just getting implantation spotting now. That is one possibility. The other is that AF is starting, and she'll be here in another few days. It is really hard to tell these things without a few things:

1) several cycles of history (not being on bcp)
2) temping to chart your cycle
3) opk
4) ultrasounds and bloodwork

So if I were you I would do one of 2 things:

Aggressive approach: go see your OBGYN and get an idea of what your
hormone levels are like. Then maybe go see a fertility specialist and go for clomid or femara if that is what they suggest.

Relaxed approach: give yourself a few months of actively charting your positive OPKs, morning temps, :sex:, and when AF started/stopped. Then review it to see if you are hitting your :sex: window. After you have had a few cycles you can see how long your luteal phase is (between ovulation and AF) and the length of your cycles and more accurately predict when you will O.

Warning signs:
1) cycles are not regular +/- 3 days
2) luteal phase is too short (under 12 days)
3) several days of spotting before AF begins in earnest.

Good luck!

Ali... your results are fine, do not read too much into it at the moment. The figures are rising and at near perfect levels, which by the way can be affected by for instance what time the 2 tests were taken at to how your body is adjusting/recognising the increase in hormones etc. Remember it is just a guideline, and I always measure behind, this pregnancy included until I was 14 weeks.

xoxo

Thanks! I needed that!! How are you feeling today? I hope better?

I'm fighting on, DH and I still on different pages and I have no energy left to deal with it. I'm avoiding him and planning how we can separate as amicably and financially as possible. If he wants to continue blaming me and my lack to work at it and throw in the towel so be it, I've tried for years, how many times will we go through this? It's tough and I will be lucky to come out of things without being declared bankrupt but I need to be happy, and have a secure environment for the rest of my family.

Any word from Chantal yet?

Yes, I'm guessing I will ovulate in the next day or two! Yippee!! Not that I'm really expecting anything (husband needs to get that sperm count higher), but I'm just happy that I have a normal cycle again. We can practice. :happydance:

Angel I am sorry you are going through such a stressful time with your dh  I saw this and thought of you
I went for my first beta this morning so should get the results tomorrow. I woke up early eager and energetic for the beta and now I can hardly keep my eyes open. lol

I agree with Angel, relax and stop worrying. The number will not double exactly every 48hrs. Don't research every little thing online. Take a deep breath, imagine the baby or babies growing the next 9 mos and holding them. Don't over analyze it will just get your anxiety up. Try and stay relaxed and know this is what is supposed to happen. They figured out the problem and fixed it. You and your drs have done everything right. Have faith girl. Good things beget good things. Things like this happen in clusters and you were overdue. This is your time! Enjoy it and know our bodies know what to do. I am so excited for you and had a strong feeling this would be the cycle. Try and get as much sleep and good nutrition as possible. We have quite the bump circle going now!! When can you find out if its twins????
