Welcome to 'Trying To Conceive Over 35'

Wow, slow today! What's up ladies?

Snookpoodle- congrats on the + opk! what strips are you using? Generally they recommend your test line be as dark as control for a sure positive--oh I meant to ask, do you basal body temp? That's a pretty sure indicator that you ARE ovulating each month.........but I gotta say, bbt'ing is a huge butt-pain! :haha: timing, urgh!

Suzi- gl w/your blood work! How do they treat it if it is a disorder?

Babywhisperer- second tri-yay! I know many folks argue but I always looked at week 12 as second tri.... When is your next appointment? Should be able to hear the HB with a doppler, yay! How is it at work? I worry you'll be stressing too much, I hated work/stress when I was pregnant with my 2nd :nope:
Ali - I know you are worried but that's all part and parcel with being pregnant! :hugs: Cramping is also a huge part of it, try not to worry too much about that :winkwink:

How's everyone doing with this friggin Derecho storm coming? Or Ali did you stay up to 3 OTs for the hockey game? I hope not!

Afm My risk for Downs went to 1 in 3000 and tri 13 & 18 to 1 in 5400 Is that good enough? I think I might follow up with the Maternity21 test and find out 99% what the gender is. Omg!!! Sh*t just got real.

Your baby comes first, so request the labs be sent over for a second opinion! I think that your results are good for downs and the other chromosomal abnormalities. I think I'd want the other tests regardless, so go for it! I think it is pretty normal for women to shop around and get an OB that they are comfortable with. You want to have an OB that has similar thoughts on a birth plan, etc. So go and meet the new Dr!

you tell him you love him, but the other dr is closer and more convenient. he should totally understand and be fine with it!!
way to go!
those numbers are perfect for your nt testing.... extremely low chance your baby will have any of those..... I dont remember my exact numbers, but I do remember deciding against the amniocentesis because the risk of losing the baby (1-3%) due to the amnio was way higher than the chance the baby had down's etc....

so exciting!! and when you start feeling the baby move inside you, you will feel so magical!!

Hi everyone. My name is Dannie I'm 35, and this year hubby and I started officially ttc. Went to the RE and found out hes fine, and I'm the one messed up. My tubes are open but I found out I only had an afc of 7, my amh was .4, and my fsh was 14!! I was devasted when I heard the news but have since recovered. I did a cycle of clomid. That was a joke, and now I'm going to do another cycle and a trigger shot. So I'll definitely let you know how that goes.

Thanks ladies. I'm getting my results from the hospital directly and will see LI Dr on Tues and city Dr on Wed....do a Pepsi Challenge if you will.

Hello ladies!

Congrats Sue on great results! We have been having thunderstorm and tornado warnings. On Monday we had one touch down about a mile from here. Today a lady who works at the zoo in Cecil county was struck by lightening. She was saved by a coworker who performed cpr. I thought I got away from hurricanes and bad weather when I left Barbados.

Happy Blueberry week Chantal!
I'm repeating Sweet Pea week! LOL!
My bloods look fine per FS.. they only have me my beta which was 10,000.
That is an overall doubling rate of 68 hours which is normal or so they say.
The FS is encouraged that the numbers are rising and say that the BETA coincides well with what we saw on the US. So we wait until next Wednesday for another US!

Happy Sweet pea week Ali! That's a great beta  Can't wait for your next u/s on Wednesday!! :happydance:

Hi Dannie :hi: Welcome :flower:

OMG THIS IS AWESOME!
ALICATT!!! Makes me want to cry... miracle in the making. How are you feeling?
All my levels were perfect before I did IVF.. don't know since.

Chantal--- How are you feeling???:baby:

Coy- What are you doing for a project? Thanks for checking in girl! I've been busy... Today I came home and took a nap!:sleep: I met a 31 year old attorney yesterday that was pregnant with her 7th child... say what? I rubbed her belly for good luck. I don't care if its rude..

Babywhisperer- time is flying.. how are you feeling.

Hey everyone!

I'm back.. baby is measuring about 5w6d not quite 6 weeks, we didn't get to see a baby or fetal pole. Just the gestational sac and the yolk sac (we think).
I go back in a week for another ultrasound. They want me back in sooner than later for another IVIg. I guess the NK cells are slowing my babies progress? The FS was pleased and not concerned. He ordered a P4, E2 and BETA to see where we were at, but I won't get them until tomorrow around 2pm.

Welcome JRob!!!!!!

Babywhisperer--- Do whats good for you and the baby!

Great news for everyone!! Welcome JRob!

Yes great news all around! So who's next to test ladies!!! We are on a roll!

Speaking of roll, feeling like I'm growing already. Some people don't show this early so I'm feeling like I'm large and in charge. I am dreading shopping. I wonder if work would mind me wearing a moo moo.

I feel the same way, and I'm only 6 weeks! :haha: It isn't so much that my clothes don't fit me, its that they are uncomfortable. I feel like my belly is protruding and my pants put pressure where baby is. Which is so insane, because my uterus has only grown to the size of my thumbnail!

I've been thinking of getting either a belly band or some maternity pants! Only issue is that it is hard to find maternity clothes. They don't sell them in as many places as they used to. I also want to get a pregnancy pillow to support my belly and back, and keep the doggies from kicking me in the belly. I was going to do it after my ultrasound, but since we didn't see a baby, I'm going to wait another week. Wednesday.. hurry up! :winkwink:

Samsfan looks like you ovulated on cycle day 17  Hope you giys baby danced :winkwink: 2ww :dust:

Sue- you crack me up  large and in charge :haha: love it

Ali- Yes the maternity pillow is a good idea. DOn't want Zach and Zoe kicking your belly :nope: That will be a great gift to treat yourself to after your u/s on Wednesday :happydance:

Dh and I celebrated 7 weeks by going to a Japanese restaurant. Had a craving for miso soup, seaweed salad and green tea icecream :winkwink:

Wishing all you ladies a wonderful weekend!

Hi Everyone.

Congrats to you preggers girls that seem to be progressing nicely! So nice to hear positive stories!

Chantal: Green tea ice cream??????? interesting!

Welcome to the new girls on here! :)

AFM: Well, results from my bloodwork came back and turns out I do have MTHFR!!!! Not sure what to think right now. Kinda happy because now I have an answer to why I've been loosing my pregnancies, but at the same time I have this weird disorder so not sure whether to be happy or not. I still haven't talked to my doc yet, the nurse just told me the results over the phone and said the doctor hadn't even seen them yet. I guess this is treatable so I am looking forward to meeting with my doctor to find out how to go about this.

It is totally treatable! I think you just take blood thinners through pregnancy. Lovenox, or heparin. At least that is what they used to do. At least you know what is causing your losses! Can't wait to hear about your next appt and what they recommend!

Chantal- You were absolutely right.. the chart says Tuesday. I think I failed this month. We did on Saturday..but because of work commitments we were both tired after that. Oh well there goes another month:shrug:
So excited for you... your progress is great.... hope you enjoyed your ice cream. When is your next u/s?

Alicatt- how are you feeling?

SusieQ- at least now you know what you have? how do you treat it?

Coy- What's up:thumbup: How you doing? and what do you have in plan for the weekend?

AFM- I'm watched Fat, Sick and Nearly Dead and now I'm inspired do get myself detoxed... My med came for IVF, however I don't know if I will be doing a cycle this month. My friend asked me to be in her wedding the end of October...excited..but now I definitely have to get fit!
