Welcome to 'Trying To Conceive Over 35'

Ok... I know this might be TMI but I might have a pregnancy symptom. I have gas like it is the latest fashion statement! It is so embarrassing!! I was in Bed, Bath, and Beyond with my DH and I was unable to hide it. It just happened!! So embarrassing! He laughed so hard. I thought about what I might have eaten differently to cause this but there is nothing abnormal.

So I guess I have flatulence and fatigue...

I wonder if I am passing gas in my sleep?!?!?!

Lol, that's too funny! I read that gas can be a symptom of early pregnancy:

"It's not like non-pregnant gas, where most of the time you know it's coming and can keep it at bay until the coast is clear, you'll think: 'Oh my gosh, did I really just fart in front of my in-laws? How can I show my face again?'"

Also, check out this thread real quick

It's got some comments that may seem familiar to you in regards to early symptoms!

Hello ladies. Lots going on around here! Hopefully some BFP's!! AFM- just finishing af and gearing up for the next cycle.
Grey eyes- I decided to wait 2 more cycles before going through with the Femara and IUI. I just wasn't ready for that and figure if nothing happens in the next 2 months I will be ready. The FS still said I have a good chance of getting pregnant on my own ad I have had 3 pregnancies in the last year. I feel my body is ready to carry it all the way now I just have to catch the right egg!!!

That's awesome! You are patient and smart :hugs: I am glad to see you on here today, I have been thinking about you - do you see the FS every month or just on certain occassions? You are right- it's wise to wait a little, especially if yu are more comfortable with that choice. What do you think about using progesterone to increase chances of hanging on to an egg once implanted (if that has been a problem) ? What'd your FS say about it?

I am feeling pretty good today, I have been tired some but I think I can chalk that up to my poor sleeping habits :haha:
There is an eclipse tonight, we will try to view it the "old fashioned way" lol with the tube and box but won't let the girls look right at it...
Do you have any sporting events planned for this summer with your kids?

Hey- what do you ladies know about hair dye and pregnancy? I am thinking of dyeing my hair tonight ... I have read ventilation is more key than anything and my bathroom is extremely well ventilated. I have a fan, a window, and a ceiling ventilator/fan...I have like 5 grey hairs sticking up on top of my head :growlmad: and my hair bleaches horribly bad in the summer...I go from dark reddish brown to a weird blondish/red

Lol, you took the pic on lined paper :haha: and all I am seeing when I close my eyes now are lines

But I still see a shadow...? Is that just me being an optomist ladies, or.....?
But no worries Ali! Even your chart says tomorrow for testing (and that's still early) so fmu here you come, right?lol...Ah, tww is torture....

HEHE.. sorry about the lined paper.. that is too funny! No in real life there wasn't even the faintest of lines.
I'm still not giving up on this cycle. I am convinced I am pregnant. Or maybe I'm just psyching my self up to be? I don't know, but I do know that AF hasn't arrived and doesn't feel like she is coming. I have this funky fullness in my uterus, kind of like its a hard ball, contracting, and my lower back feels like I've been raking leaves all weekend or something. It is sore, but more like I've pulled muscles. Ohh, and its only 9:30ish and I'm exhausted, and going to bed right now!

Jessica.. thanks for the optimism, it is wearing off on me  As for the gas, I think that is perfectly natural (if not a little embarrassing):haha:
When are you going to test? I will test again tomorrow morning since I can't seem to get by one day without.. lol Get some  and we'll compare notes tomorrow!!

Hey Coy.. I went and had highlights done a few weeks ago (foils), and I asked the hairdresser what she thought, and her answer was don't put anything directly on the scalp and only after you are finished with your first tri-mester. So she said that foils were perfectly fine, but to do an all over color or to touch up grey was bad, since the color would touch your scalp and potentially be absorbed. That is a hairdressers perspective, I have not done research beyond that. Sorry! Could you just get a color that is close to your natural color and touch up those few strands? That way it wouldn't touch your scalp but you can get rid of those few grey hairs.

I'm paranoid about any chemicals that might effect baby (even though I still just TTC). So, I've already started using natural henna dyes instead. I bought one at Whole Foods and did it at home. It came out a nice color and seems to be holding on the greys!

Hey FirstTry! I am Jessica. And I am 7 DPO. I am not going to test until the 27th or 28th. My Fertility Specialist gave me paperwork for the lab to have my blood drawn on the 28th. :)

Hi Jessica. You are a very patient women! I actually tested at 8DPO and 9DPO because I have little patience. Also, I bought 15 cheap tests on the internet, so it's easy :)

Best of luck!

FirstTry- your temps look awesome today also! Got my fx'd for you! Btw- how do you get the chart to show in your signature along witht he link? I always could get the link but not sure how to get the chart in there:shrug:

Thank you for the chart compliment, Grey Eyes!

This is probably TMI, but I usually start spotting about 5 days before AF (potentially a luteal phase defect and/or low progesterone). That would be today. No spotting so far! I'm looking forward to the morning test tomorrow, 10DPO.

The chart thumbnail: on FF, click the "Share" button under your chart. Then, use the code for "Chart Thumbnail".

Very early good morning ladies! Keep me posted on your testing FirstTry and Ali!! :hugs: Jess- your test date is coming up fast :happydance:

Test this morning: I got a pink dot, smaller than a grain of sand. That's most likely not a positive (defective strip?). DH suggested we wait until tomorrow to test again, so that's what we'll do.

Coy, you are awesome! Thanks for keeping up with everybody. I look forward to reading this thread everyday because of you.

FirstTry...waiting a day or two seems like the right thing to do...no matter how hard it is!! I am in the middle of my TWW and I am about to drive myself crazy! The weekend provided more distractions but my work week has started and my obsessing is in full effect!!

Ali!!! Talk to me!! :winkwink:

You only bought 15? :haha: I bought 30! I know.. crazy.. but they aren't helping me any because they are all still BFN

Luck to you too!

Morning everyone! This is such a nice place to come in the morning. So many happy people, wanting to support each other :)

I have no news really.. I feel like a broken record. The IC this morning was BFN (big surprise). Its CD 30 and 13DPO, you'd think that it would be positive by now, but NOOOO.. UGH.. GRR.
My temp was still up this morning at 97.9, its been around that temp since my possible first implantation on 9DPO. I have lower back cramps and abdominal cramps that feel like I've pulled my muscles, and funky contraction like cramps where it feels like my uterus is trying to condense into a little ball. I'm nauseous, and gassy and exhausted.

Sending :dust: to those of you starting to test!!!

Jess and First try.. how are you doing today?
Coy.. did you decide to color your hair? The henna suggestion sounds like a good one!!

Hi ladies!

What....no pictures? :saywhat: Here I was looking forward to it  lol

Ali- if you think you implanted about 4 days ago it will take a few more to register the hcg in your urine. Ugh, patience, huh?!

FirstTry- pink dot? What pink dot? Pink dots are exciting! Pics??? lol

Jess (do you mind if I call you Jess?? Jessica preferable?) Yeah, the work week is retty mundane sometimes and allows our minds to work away at us! :growlmad: Hang in there! :friends:

Marathongirl- how are you today?

Phil- how's the ms lady? Feeling any better?

Coy, you are terrific! I love love love your energy! Thanks for being you!! :hugs:
And yes, "Jess" is perfect...

I need to learn how to post pictures and signatures, etc so when I get my BFP I can show everyone my picture. :)

Why is it that when you want it so badly it takes forever, but then there are little young teenage girls getting PG and even worse, grown women who get PG and don't want it!! I don't understand sometimes...

No pictures today.. did not have time, and let me tell you it was BFN.. there wasn't a hint of anything. I promise if there is anything to see, I'll share!!! :)

I know I have to be patient, but I am not a patient person, I want to know now :wacko: I just can't wait to post a :happydance::BFP:

Jess.. I'm with you.. I am hardly able to concentrate on work, all I can think about is that there might be a tiny little poppy seed growing in my belly, and it won't tell me whether or not its there! I agree, Coy is awesome, and its nice to have you guys around to vent to :) You guys understand my  craziness! Thanks!!!

I know...when I mc'd back in November I wlaked into the doc office and there was a teeange girl with the most adorable newborn girl laying on her chest. The teens mom sat nearby. Finally the teenager picked up the baby and literally tossed it at her mother and snarled "I am so sick of this sh&*@! and walked out. Pretty sad, huh? It always seems like an imbalance in the world when there are so many trying so hard and others- getting it and not even caring. That bothers me too.

Today- I am trying to decide what to do  I have an assignment to finish writing...maybe work on my dd's room some more  I have been feeling tired lately, not sure why?

Glad to have you ladies to talk to as well! It helps to rant ocassionally or just voice an opinion w/o being judged for it :hugs:

Hope all you ladies are having a good day so far. I had hoped to post Sunday while at work but something exciting came up.

We are hosting an exhibit that the Library has been trying to promote in the community. Unknown to me, one of our local stations might drop by to film the exhibit. When someone from the station did come by, they wanted a staff member from the Library to speak on camera about the exhibit. I was drafted.

(The clip you see is not the way it was presented on the actual news broadcast. The words the newscaster spoke during the broadcast and the words printed in the article are from me. They took part of what I said in the interview and used it for their reporting. What you hear me saying is only a small part of what I said.) :winkwink:

Here is the clip -
