skweek35, thanks for your encouragement. I had the laparoscopy and the Doctor found endo. You can read my post above. I just need time to recover. My boss thinks I will be back Monday and she even argued that I didn't have Endo! ! ! (this was before the surgery). She said that you don't do a laparoscopy to find Endo. I almost choked! Can you believe these people? I can't wait until my husband gets his license and then I can work for him and write my book! How are you???

a friend of mine back in SA also had Endo. She was only telling the me the other day that for 5 years she would be huddled up in a heap on the bathroom floor every month - and thought it was normal! she also had lap to remove the endo and got her BFP shortly afterwards. She now has 2 beautiful children!!!
Just remember that God knows the plans that he has for you - plans to prosper you!!!!
We just have to be patient - all in his time!!!!

Hello all, I am 39 and have been SERIOUSLY ttc for about 2 years. Dh will be 44 soon so I am getting nervous. I had a laparoscopy Friday, July 8th and the doc found what he called "significant Endometriosis". It was on my uterus and bladder. He took it all off and I am recovering now. OUCH! It was well worth it though! I have been infertile for 10 years and have had severe pelvic pain which NO doctor would diagnose GRRRRR! Anyways, I finally went to a fertility specialist and tried 4 IUI's and none of them were successfull. I finally decided to do the Lap and what do you know, ENDOMETRIOSIS. Maybe this was my whole problem right off the bat! I am crossing my fingers for a full recovery and maybe a POSITIVE pregnancy test SOON! What a relief that will be. Can't wait forever. Hugs ladies and lots of baby dust.

Thanks Skweek35, You are right about God's timing. Amazing how things work out huh? I have faith that I will be pregnant soon! I am SOOOO Happy the doc. found something! YES! Finally an answer!

Hi Ladies
I've been lurking here for a bit but haven't posted before. I'm 40 and ttc #1... Yikes! We haven't said much to our families/friends as I'm already well over answering the "Why don't you have any kids" question. We had some big financial issues and held off on trying until they straightened out. Alas that hasn't happened yet but the past couple of years my biological clock has been chiming like Big Ben So I'm hoping we've still got a chance, and reading your posts has been really helpful/reassuring to me - thank you!!

I think it's about time that I joined the TTC over 35 threads....

Im 36 and have just gone through loads of bloodwork, an HSG, and ultrasound. My FSH and AMH numbers confirm that I have low egg quantity. The HSG showed my tubes are open for business. The ultrasound showed I have a fibroid and cyst which he said is normal for a woman my age and it shouldn't hinder getting pregnant and he is not concerned with that right now. what he is concerned about at this very moment is my Ovaries and Eggs. He gave me birth control pills to take for 10 days and see if that helps to shrink the cyst and fibroids. He said I should get AF again after I stop taking the BCPs and he wants me to come in on CD3 for more bloodwork and another ultrasound and he will then put me on either Clomid or Femara and Injectibles to see how my eggs react to the medicine. My DH's SA was a little below normal but okay. His sperm count is good but his swimmers are a little slow. If I respond well to the meds and produce good eggs, we will be going through IUI.

Im feeling okay for now. I will be praying and hoping and wishing that I react well to the meds and produce an egg(s). I don't care if it's just one egg at this point cuz all it takes is just ONE GOOD EGG and ONE GOOD SWIMMER

Im going to try and stay positive and say lots of prayers cuz I want this so bad I can taste it

Would like to find someone who has/is going through the same thing and we can buddy up if you like.... would also love to read success stories

I pray that we all get our lots of baby to you all

Hi all! Just joined this forum and tic at age 38, ugh...already have 3 children, divorced...remarried and new hubby (who is 30) and I want to have a baby...38 too old?? I'm in good health and physically fit. I also just used the Clearblue fertility monitor this month. I have 2 highs at cd8 and cd9...then peak on cd10 and today which is cd11. We BD'd on the night of the high before my morning peak, then at 6am and 10pm on cd10...plan on BDing tonight and tomorrow also... Any thoughts about my age or how the fertility monitor works?? Any advice is appreciated! Thanks!

38 is defo not tooo old to ttc!!! some ladies on here are over 40.
I havent used the fertility monitor as i have opk's and use bbt method. But have seen loads refering to it.

Wow, I'm in utter disbelief! I believe I am 12DPO, but I could be as much as 16DPO, I took a test four days ago when I was 8 - 11 DPO and I got a big fat negative.

I am in utter disbelief that we conceived the first month and only days after hubby finally agreed to it! Ya-hoo! (I'm 35 and DH will be 45 soon) I have totally felt pregnant this past week, but thought it was 'mind games'.... Looks like I am due in mid-August. We won't be telling anyone in 'real life' until after we hear the heartbeat

I'm a personal trainer, and I love to workout! Now, it will be a challenge to cut-back a bit and pay attention to my body..hmm.. but I will! This is the first thing I have to change off the bat.

Does anyone know what they are saying about caffeine nowadays? It seems like it's changing all the time. I drink tea, but it has quite a bit of caffeine in it (yerba) - Thanks!!

Hello Everyone!!

First of all THANK YOU to the Mods for this site.....It's nice to have somewhere to go and speak with people going through the same things...

I am 44, mom to 15yo and 12 yo [both naturally concieved when I was 29 and 32], am now remarried and would like to have one more... We suffered a known miscarriage 3 yrs ago, and have secondary infertility...we've not been TTC - but up until now we did not take things to prevent conception.

I do think my body is going through changes..notable mood swings, sweats at night, more dryness down there, nausea with changes in my cycle..., up until this month things have been relatively consistent in AF. Went to see RE, and will start formal testing [hormone levels, SA, Ultrasound to see eggs, tubes etc...]

Our labs here stopped assisting conception in women with their own eggs for IVF just a few months ago! The age limit has been dropped to 42 and we are a bit devastated if we will need to go the donor route *sigh*.

Any one else in a similar boat? I really don't know where to begin..should I be charting? What supplements should I take? Currently I am on Materna and 5mg of Folic Acid...I have just heard about Coenzyme Q 10 [co Q10] and royal jelly??? What are others doing...please lead the way .
